Out of 4 companies I reviewed I felt that MC Construction and Design was the most competitive in price without sacrificing quality. The project Manager, Mario was easy to deal with and made the whole process less stressfull. The job was done professionally and quickly. The crew cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. I am very satisfied customer. I would definitely recommend MC Constructions and Design.

MC Construction & Design really delivers amazing results! They took on our bathroom transformation and redesign project, which turned out even better than we had imagined. We've dealt with other providers in the past that were unorganized, tardy, and sloppy, but our project was impeccably managed this time. Our coordinator was a cut above the rest! She kept the workers focused on the task and the timeline, maintained a tidy job site, and was key in assisting us select our color palette, vanity unit, contemporary mirrors, and shower doors. we'd been thinking about updating our old-fashioned kitchen for quite some time but always held back because it's tough to find a top-notch remodeling crew. We've often heard of disappointing experiences with other remodeling teams. However, it was a whole new story with this particular construction firm we started working with last year. from our initial quote request, the project manager was consistently professional and well-informed. He also seemed to be the sort of person who stays on top of things, reliable, and quick to respond. Sure enough, he met our expectations. A lovely design was part of the package and the entire process, from initial planning, execution, to the final outcome, was all very satisfying. They ensured we had a clean, habitable space throughout the construction. they always cleaned up at the end of each day, installed plastic sheet walls and taped everything up very neatly. These considerations were crucial for us, as we have a young child. The project foreman was just as professional and excellent. He ensured things were going as planned and ran smoothly. They were very quick to respond to any requests for touch-ups or fixing flaws. Naturally, there were some snags and challenges during the construction, like defective appliances. We were extremely grateful for the assistance given by the project manager and the foreman in returning our defective appliances to the store, enabling us to purchase new ones without any issues. we absolutely love our new kitchen and everything was completed in a timely fashion. we would certainly recommend this construction company to all our friends and would definitely work with them again on future projects. My spouse and I have been collaborating with MC Construction & Design since 2016, having them fully transform our condo. Two things that are exceptionally important to us, honesty and attention to detail, shine brightly in their work. We have complete faith that the work will be carried out at a reasonable cost. Their focus on details is their distinguishing trait. During the 2016 remodeling process, they ensured that the team who was fitting the shower glass returned three times to adjust the doors until they were correctly installed. After the renovations, my spouse, who has an eagle eye for detail, couldn't spot any flaws in their work. Notably, after the insulation work was done from the exterior of the walls, the technician's patchwork and painting of the stucco were so meticulously done that it's impossible to identify where the 2 1/2 inch holes were drilled. A number of our neighbors in Encino have also been thoroughly impressed with the work done by MC Construction & Design. I wholeheartedly endorse this company for any home remodeling needs you may have.

Had a pretty urgent paint job, as we were about to have long-term guests stay in an ADU that needed a refresh. The whole process with Mike and his team was smooth and easy - from a reasonable estimate to completing the job within days. We will definitely be back!

We are extremely pleased with the work MC Construction did for us after a flood in our kitchen, living room, dining room area. After contacting several contractors, my husband spoke to Andrew at MC Construction. He really put us at ease. Zack was wonderful. He is an expert in dealing with insurance and made the process so much easier for us. Although there is a project manager on each job, the owner, Mike, comes out to inspect the work being done.

The job was completed very fast, it took only 2 weeks with total demo!!! The whole renovation process was fairly painless. Even when issues came up (they always do!), Yani & Leo would communicate with me and present problem-solving solutions, making me feel I was always in good hands. Workers are incredibly respectful and didn't hesitate to make small adjustments to accommodate my perfectionism. We received three proposals (all from personal referrals) for our home addition project and selected MC Construction to build out two new bedrooms and a full bathroom for us. The project started with Yani providing the initial consultation and preparation. We were very happy with Yani's thorough explanation of everything from permitting to demo to construction.
Even with COVID, the timing to complete the project was close to as predicted - the city/county permits and inspections were the biggest laggards, as expected and for-warned by Yani. Always plan for delays with permits and inspections - great advice from Yani.
Our project manager/foreman was Juan and he was just amazing - always calm and collected, even when there were challenges, not to worry, Juan took care of everything. His crew was efficient, professional, and clean - which was greatly appreciated. Ask for Juan if you hire MC Construction, you will be thankful you did!

MC Construction & Design did a great job from beginning to end. We had them come and remodel our restroom. They did so well we called them up to build an ADU!

They walked us through the whole process — from blueprinting to getting power from DWP — holding our hand the entire way, doing most of the heavy lifting. There were some things we had to do on our own, but they offered assistance when possible. They were very transparent and flexible, letting us know what could be done/not with respect to our budget and LA County’s ridiculous laws.

The entire project (800 sq. ft. 2b/1ba) took about 6 months from an idea to a completed home. It’s been 6 months since then and everything is still in working order and they provide their own warranty! We were able to pick out colors, cabinetry, and bathroom faucets so we really got what we wanted — Mike was great in communicating and helping!

Everything went smooth and they were really communicative throughout the whole process.. MC Construction kept my space clean. Every day they'd tidy up and come finish more and more till it was PERRRRFECT! I had a lot of questions at first and Isaiah was really kind to explain the steps to me. I liked that he was so patient and kind! I'd definitely hire them again!

MC Construction Painted my double wide mobile home with Cool Life Paint. They did an excellent job. The entire crew was very nice and Gabriel was super professional, knowledgeable and kind. He even was able to get the work financed for me! I would highly recommend MC Construction and Gabriel. The entire crew was great. They did a beautiful job.

It took me a while to write this because I spend all my time cooking in and staring at my beautiful new kitchen! MC did our kitchen and master bath renovation a couple months ago and turned our very dated and dingy rooms into spaces we love. Our point of contact was Mike and he was great at communicating the game plan, we knew exactly what to expect each day - who was showing up, when and what for - and he was easy to reach when we had questions. The crews who did the work were awesome, always on time, friendly, and neat - and dang they work hard. They cleaned up really well at the end of each day - which was huge since we lived in the house through the renovation. We had put off doing a renovation because we have dogs and I work from home, but we shouldn't have - it was easy to move around the house to find a quiet space when needed and to get our dogs in and out of their safe space. Overall, we're thrilled with the results and look forward to using MC again for our next project.

We were in search of a reliable general contractor to do our kitchen renovation, which includes countertops, cabinets, flooring, and painting. Having come across MC Construction and being very impressed by their positive reviews and website, we decided to have them submit an estimate after considering some other bids. Tom, the project manager, a very nice guy, visited our home, and we were quite impressed with him. He was highly professional and not at all overbearing, demonstrating considerable knowledge and offering helpful suggestions without being pushy. He listened to our needs, took notes and presented us with a bid the very next day.
The estimate was competitive, and we were so comfortable with Tom, leading us to proceed with the project. We ultimately completed countertops, flooring installations throughout the rest of our home. We ended up adding the living room, family room, kitchen, master bedroom, master bathroom, guest bathroom, and hallway, comprehensive painting throughout the entire house and renovated the cabinetry which are just Amazing I must say! We replaced existing countertops with a luxurious quartz island, complemented by a matching backsplash and under-cabinet lighting which is simply gorgeous. Additionally, they installed new cabinet hardware, toilets, sinks, and lighting fixtures, including recessed lighting. The project was finalized with the installation of elegant four-and-a-half-inch baseboards, all within the pre-approved budget.
We were very pleased with the workers during the renovation. They were respectful, maintained a clean work environment, and worked diligently, producing remarkable results. We were pleasantly surprised by how effortlessly they made the process for us, especially since we had no prior experience with such projects and anticipated a challenging experience. I recently had the exterior of my home painted by MC Construction, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The process was smooth—from the initial estimate all the way through the final walkthrough. They gave me a clear timeline for the project and stayed right on schedule.

Each day, 2–3 painters were on-site, and multiple supervisors stopped by regularly to check on progress. The crew was extremely neat and respectful of my property. They carefully covered all areas that weren’t being painted to protect them from overspray.

Before the final inspection, I emailed a few minor concerns I wanted addressed. They responded quickly and took care of everything without hesitation. They even rehung the artwork that had been removed for painting and made sure the yard was spotless before they left.

I’m very pleased with the quality of their work and the professionalism of the entire team. I would gladly recommend MC Construction to family and friends. It was truly a great experience.

For years, we had been curious about expanding our home to include at least one additional bathroom and bedroom. We didn’t know where to start. In our search for a contractor, we had three (3) contractor quotes. We settled with MC Construction and Design based on responsiveness, details and feel.
During our Design Phase, we were able let our Project Manager know what we were looking for. He was able to provide a rough design immediately to get us started. Once we finalized our design, MC was able to provide a floor plan and some alternates to consider. This process was quick and smooth, and designs were submitted to the city within a couple of weeks. Our Project included the following three (3) phases:

1. Home Addition – adding 1.5 bathrooms, 1 bedroom and den (~400 sq. ft.)
2. Driveway Replacement
3. Garage Foundation Re-footing

After plans were approved, the Project Manager/Owner (Mike) came to introduce himself and the team. Work began the next day. The project scope was estimated to take 6 – 8 months, they completed it in 5 months.

The PM and Contractor team was quick to provide updates and answer any questions or concerns during the process. Communication was great. Whenever issues with the home were found, honest recommendations were provided, with no pressure. And also, any minor adjustments were made upon request. Everything went as well as it possibly could. That doesn’t come without organization, attentiveness and hard work from the contractor team, so thank you! Overall, it was a good experience working with MC Construction and Design. Would gladly work with them again on any future projects.
