I called around to a few companies, but AtticGuard stood out immediately. Matt and Mike came out the same day I called for an inspection. They were both incredibly friendly, professional, and took the time to walk me through what was going on in my attic.

They didn’t pressure me into anything—just gave me an honest, straightforward assessment. I really appreciated how clearly they explained the extent of the rodent problem, what damage they found, and what needed to be done to fix it.

The very next day, they had a crew out handling everything: removing old insulation, sealing all entry points (rodent proofing), sanitizing, and installing fresh insulation. The team was punctual, respectful of my home, and worked efficiently. They even showed me before-and-after photos so I could see the difference myself, which gave me a lot of peace of mind.

It’s a funny story, I was dealing with rates In The attic! I tried the peppermints bags, call a pest company that was 186$ a month. Worried that this pest was in my attic I had to do something fast, having a very busy life with grandkids, driving one back to his house ( on the 15 fwy) and before I knew it There’s a truck In Front of me with writing Attic clean up of rodent… that was IT ! I told my daughter to take a picture of the truck so I call. Once I called the appt was made within a day, pictures were taken ( gross)and I got a senior discount whew. I will recommend Attic Guard in a heart beat!!!

Excellent Work – Comprehensive, with Close Attention to Detail

Attic Guard recently completed a major project on my San Diego home, including upgrade/replacement of attic insulation, rodent proofing the perimeter and all vents, and improving ventilation. Their crew were proficient and professional.

High points included:

Protection of all floors, walls, closet and furniture in their ingress/egress paths. All protection and waste were removed and hauled away, and the site was thoroughly vacuumed.

After the old cellulose ceiling insulation was vacuumed out, the existing insulated ventilation lines that had been laying on the ceiling were secured to attic structure, leaving more room for the new blown-in insulation. All seams and gaps between the attic and the living spaces and the outside were sealed with fire-resistant spray foam. The attic surfaces were treated with a mild bleach disinfectant. They provided digital copies of pictures taken showing the location of wiring, pipes, vents etc that would soon be buried in new, blown-in insulation.

The rubber seal on the bottom of the garage door was replaced with a heavy duty version. That improvement was volunteered by Attic Guard. Initially I had no idea that it was so important.

When the crew finished, I inspected the results and asked for some further improvements. To insure that I was totally satisfied, Mat called the crew back and had them make some adjustments, with enthusiasm no reluctance. At the conclusion the crew thanked me for the privilege of letting them work on my house. I was blown away by the gratitude and sincerity. Great crew!

After the major work was completed I decided that a whole house fan would be a good addition for augmenting the cooling of the house. Mat contracted for ventilation fan specialist installers to do the work. The earlier photos, and a bit of good luck in the existing layout, made for a smooth installation, despite working through 13” of loose insulation. With 20:20 hindsight I recommend that others in this situation try to have the fan installed when the old insulation is removed but before the new insulation is installed. It worked out fine for me, but if your attic is small or crowded it could make a big difference in location selection, wiring, cleanliness, and general ease of installation. The new house fan is very quiet and effective.

Bottom line: I am very pleased with the process and the results provided by Attic Guard. And Attic Guard’s price was substantially less than a competing bid. I can highly recommend Attic Guard, without reservation.

We had a really good experience with Ariella and her team. She identified our problems immediately and put together a very thorough plan for our specific house. Ariella and her team did an excellent job of cleaning, disinfecting and sealing our attic as well as the exterior of our home. We look forward to living in a rodent free home. Attic Guard is the third company I hired to exterminate rodents from my attic. The first one was super expensive so I did not sign a contract with them. The second one too over $3,000 and did not solve the rodent problem as they were not allowed to climb on the roof to seal possible entry points. Attic Guard were efficient in cleaning, disinfecting and replacing all the insulation in my attic. I had a great experience with AtticGuard. I contracted them to remove the old insulation and to install new insulation in my home's attic. From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They did a thorough job removing the existing material and installing the new insulation, taking care to fill all gaps to ensure proper coverage and efficiency.

I was especially impressed with their attention to detail— they sealed off the work area to prevent dust and other contaminants from getting into the home. They also replaced the wire mesh covering the attic vents, making sure everything was properly sealed and protected to prevent birds or rodents from getting in.
