I recently hired Masing construction for a home renovation, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Boyd and his team provided excellent service throughout the entire process. From the framing to the plumbing, woodworking, drywall installation, piecing together tile flooring (new bordering old) and painting, every detail was handled with precision and care.

The communication was clear and timely, and they kept me informed every step of the way. The craftsmanship was top-notch, and it’s evident they take pride in their work. I highly recommend Masing construction to anyone looking for a reliable general contractor. You won’t be disappointed!

Palacios Renovations came in with a reasonable competitive bid. They kept a clean and organized work environment and finished ahead of schedule doing a great job. Because of this, I asked them to bid on a second job on my mother's home. Once again they came in with a competitive bid (not the lowest) but used higher quality materials, finished before promised, and kept an organized, clean work environment. They returned a day later with a final part and installed it. We would have never known had they skipped that part, as it was unseen to us. They let us know ahead what they were going to do. Nothing hidden. All up front.

On a final project that another contractor was going to handle, but avoided, they stepped up and once again came in on time and on budget.

My brother, a professional electrical contractor of 40 years, was so impressed with Palacios Renovations, that he asked them to bid a job on a unique La Jolla residence. They came as scheduled, evaluated the job, and let him know it was out of their field of expertise. We both appreciated their honesty and commitment to quality.

I intend to ask them to come bid 2 projects on my own home and fully expect they will be in the running for the jobs.

I rarely write reviews, but am happy to lend my backing to this organization for the quality and timely work they have done for us.

Palacios Renovations responded quickly to our request for a quote to paint the exterior of our house and replace our front yard fence and two gates. We accepted the proposal from Ruben. The work began and ended in the originally quoted two weeks. The work and the workers were fantastic. We had 5 dogs in the house for most of the time the work was being done and the workers couldn't have been nicer about our need to have either the front or back yard accessible for the dogs' potty needs. The company is super flexible and seemed to be willing to work with us. Ruben was in constant communication and did a final walk through. I wouldn't hesitate to use Palacios Renovations for any future home renovation needs. I feel like they are 100% trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

I have seen Mr. Palacios do all kinds of different construction, wood work, flooring and bathrooms. He stated that he loves doing bathroom tile etc. After knowing him for years, I asked him to redo my bathroom. His workmanship is excellent and he is a very positive personality. I would recommend Mr. Palacios for any kind of work!

I have worked with Ramon Palacios Renovations for 20 years. He has completely renovated my Mother's home from the studs and concrete to a beautifully finished home. He built a gorgeous ADU for us. He has done every kind of renovation work on 5 other properties in my family from complete gut to the smallest repairs. He recently installed a new wall of cabinets in my kitchen to match the ones from 20 years ago! He will work with you on any type of project. His floor guys are the best! His painters are careful and precise. Tile work is always impeccable. Easy to work with. Works hard to make you happy with your project.

Imperial General Contractors (IGC) did a fantastic job for me! It was at a time when it felt like the world was crashing in on me. My wife's health was a concern, my mom was going into surgery, my home was flooded in a major way!
IGC was there for me! They gave me a contract, in detail, as to the work to be performed. My insurance used every item on the list, approving all that was to be done. What a relief that was! Then they performed the work while my tenants continued to live in the home. Major construction was under way, two bathroom renovations and a kitchen remodel needed to be completed. They did this to my complete satisfaction, not to mention my wife's satisfaction also! All the while meeting my timely expectations and keeping my tenants aware and satisfied. Wow, I was impressed! They kept fantastic communication with both me and my tenants, and were responsive to all our needs.
I highly recommend IGC to anyone who's on a tight budget and needs work to be completed quickly and professionally!

I was referred to Payman by a business associate. He responded to my call immediately. We scheduled an initial meeting and he started work the following day. I am more than satisfied with the flooring he installed as well as another small project. All was completed quickly, professionally, and for a price than was less than I had expected. I have already recommended Payman to the HOA board for my condo and he will likely be completing several projects in the coming months.

We are very grateful to Imperial General Contractors for our beautifully remodeled house which was done within the schedule and budget they stated upfront. It was a large project of replacing floors, cabinets, fixtures, windows, electrical wiring, paint, and expanding our kitchen. The tile for the showers and the bathroom floors was laid in perfection. They were instrumental in designing the master shower as we did not have anything particular in mind. They also helped with the kitchen design. They were very accommodating and considerate working around us as we remained living in the house. There were no surprises, they were very open and honest, and we would recommend them for any job.

I worked with Payman at Imperial General Contractors on 2 major projects. The first was redoing the electrical in our old home, repairing some water damage, and installing a new roof. The second was redoing garage which involved some demolition, stronger framing for the ceiling, plumbing, adding some more outlets, and drywall. His company did great work in both cases. I left several of the stylistic details up to him and am really happy with the choices he made. I can tell he pays his workers a fair wage charges a fair price. Will definitely work with him again for future projects.

I’ve used Paymon and his company on a couple remodels. His employees are professional, punctual and have excellent workmanship. Most importantly, he/they are trustworthy. I have also referred IGC to elderly friends who I was reluctant to refer to “just anyone to” - I knew I could trust Paymon and his employees who installed beautiful stair wood railings in a historical, stunning home that needed to look as if they’d been installed when the home was built. He is worth every dollar he charges. I give him the highest rating possible!!

Ken is the best contractor on the planet.

The only way to give this five stars is with a negative sign in front of the number 5

4 acres of land with private pond, wonderful pool and spa .plus 4000 sqft pool house with offices. Contractor Ken great to work with.

These guys are amazing. My husband and I had a horrible week that started out with a slab leak and is ending with our electricity going out due to the water damage companies' equipment over-loading the breaker. I would have shed 8x as many tears this week if it hadn't been for Ken (the owner) and his crew. They set the bar extremely high when it comes to good customer service. They were kind, explained everything to us in terms we could understand, we called them any time of day/night and they were able and ready to help. I'm 41 weeks pregnant and if we didn't already have a name for our son, I think we might consider the name Ken...

Seriously, I never write reviews, and these guys completely knocked our socks off. I will probably never call another company as long as I live in Escondido.

Over the past 10 years ,Ken Lord and his team have done many plumbing jobs at our home and rental property. They do a great job and offer good rates, even on water heater installations.... and he makes sure that EVERYTHING leading into and away from the water heater is working properly too. I highly recommend this company....and as it seems something always goes wrong on a Friday night....... they get back to me right away no matter what !

Review for LBL Constructors / Daniel (via HOA Work Order)

Daniel from LBL Constructors was assigned to inspect a roof leak at my property through my HOA on 8/21/2023. What followed has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience.

After multiple no-shows and delays, it took several months for Daniel to finally come out. When he did, he cut two large holes in the ceiling to find the leak—despite the fact that I had already pointed out the likely source where the roof meets the wall, which simply needed proper sealing and inspection for mold.

The repair process dragged on for over a year and a half, during which the issue was never fully addressed. The crew patched over the holes, sprayed some paint, and left visible stains, cracks, and a messy wall behind. The paint job was poorly done, with clear discoloration still visible. Despite my many follow-ups with both Daniel and the HOA—including photos of the damage—the problem remains unresolved to this day.

Even more concerning, the HOA was charged over $5,000 for this incomplete and careless work. I am left with more damage than I started with, and no resolution in sight.

I cannot recommend LBL Constructors based on this experience. If you're dealing with roof issues through your HOA, I strongly advise asking detailed questions about the contractor being used and monitoring the work closely.

Very hard workers. I highly recommend them. Ismael is very professional and he always gets the job done. You guys are outstanding! Way to go. 👏
