Never heard of this company but after reading their reviews, it makes sense why they have wreck less drivers. Van number 223 literally could crash into a parked car given the opportunity and then blame the parked care

Eric has been such a great help in any service I need, and I highly recommend him and Baker Electric. If you want it done right the first time, or if you need someone to come fix what a different contractor did wrong, contact Eric, you won't be disappointed.

Baker Electric is an excellent company to contract with. We had the pleasure of working with Randy and Junior recently at a property in Carmel Valley. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and worked diligently to resolve issues. As a contractor it is of upmost importance to be on time and maintain a high level service, both gentlemen do this well. We appreciate these guys and look forward to referring them to our clientele.

Baker Electric is family owned. Mr Baker, although a senior is hands on and will bend over backwards to help. His is a small crew but very professional. When covid was running rampant I needed an electrician. He answered on his cell as he was on the job as usual. I explained my dilemma and Covid or not he said he would see what he could do.
Our location is rural and not easily accessed. He did what he said. I got a call in a few days and we were back in business. The work was superb and competitively priced.

We had a young man come out to our house on a Saturday night at 7 PM to look at our heater that was giving off a strong gas smell in the house. We were expecting him to come on Monday and were shocked and thankful he came out right when we called. He was honest in communication and was very nice. Great company.

I installed my system in 2019 and less than 3 years later they are nickel and diminish me for a 4G transmitter because they installed outdated 3g transmitters that no longer work. Pretty unprofessional to ask me for $30k worth of work then ask me to pay for maintenance items so soon after. Will never recommend or use them again.

I made an appt yesterday tues online for 10-12 thurs . The confirmation page said someone would call to confirm. By 1pm today no call. I called them and they have no record of the reservation and then tried to give me a four hour window well after that. It is extremely frustrating if you have a tech system that does not work, but you have it up on your website and then you cannot accommodate what somebodyhad made a reservation for. Extremely unprofessional I would think a solar company as large as Baker could do better.

Baker Electric installed my Solar System, upgraded my service pane, and installed my Mitsubishi split air conditioning system. Very professional, on time, and all the installers for each project were AWESOME. The office staff was just as amazing and kept me in the loop on everything. I highly recommend Baker Electric.

I had Baker Electric come out to quote on SPAN electric panel. I was told I needed to work with SDGE to get my electrical panel installed and approved and may require trenching. I sent a request to SDGE but they need to work with the electric company making the request. After calling and not being able to get a call back to speak with a technician at Baker Electric, I'm going to count their downpayment of $100 as a wash and work with a better electrical company. I would not recommend this company.

Thanks to Baker Electric my LG Solar Battery is again online and functioning properly. Sullivan Solar, now out of business, put my battery in hibernation mode over a year ago so I called Baker to see if they could help me out. David from Baker was up to date on what needed to be done and went the extra mile communicating with Solar Edge to get my system working properly again. For all of Sullivan Solars' customers who are in the same predicament I highly recommend this company.

I would give zero star if I could. They have a 10 year warranty for their system; HOWEVER, it does not INCLUDE the INVERTER (since according to them it's a third party manufacturer). Without the inverter, the solar power is useless, since it can not convert to electricity for usage. I paid for 28 panels and started getting notices from SDGE of increase high usage and a monthly $400-600. My true-up was in excess of $3000 last year. I tried reaching out to Baker electric for SIX MONTHS. Each time, either I would leave a message on their answering service or representative and be told someone would be contacting me back. After six months, I finally get an email stating my inverter is not working properly and has to be fix. I then receive a follow-up email stating Baker is not responsible for the faulty inverter since it's a third party equipment. Now my bill is back down to $65 a month.

We had them put in a ac unit in or condo a couple years ago and has been nothing but issues. First it leaked while using it the first time and my son ended up slipping and slammed into a wall. They fixed by adding some pump to drain water faster but just went to replace the filter and that item they installed is hanging lower than the lid so they apparently just shoved it in and called it a day. Terrible company.

It is all about the service!!! In 2020 we went with Baker for a complete solar system because of their name and longevity in business. Overall we were very happy with the process and installation. With the 2023 rains, we noticed roof leaks and damages related to the solar installation that we needed fixed. With horror stories from all of the other solar installers past and present, we were worried about our own repairs. We made a claim with Baker, and they came out to make an assessment and made all of the needed repairs. They did a wonderful job with the install and the service afterwards. I cannot say enough. Nothing is every perfect, but with the way that Baker stood by their work and honored their roof guarantee, I would recommend them to every one.
Thank you to our repair crew: Foreman, Alfredo Luviano and his crew: Joe Andrade, Luiz Hernandez, Eduardo Reves.

Felt very cheated by them. Promised us great service, prepare the roof for the solars, taking pride at their roof work. Their solars were already more expensive than others companies. But since they promised to prepare the roof for the solars, we decided to go with them. After we signed a contract they asked for extra $6000 to prepare the roof! It was never mentioned before. Super disappointed. Don’t like doing business this way. Be aware

Even though Baker Electric was a bit more expensive I went with them because I heard they have great service. It’s frustrating not being able to have basic customer service handled when I have what I think is a fairly simple question and request. Unbeknownst to me, our panels haven’t been producing electricity for about 6 weeks and when I got my last power bill - $800 I was shocked. All I need is help linking my Solaredge app to the inverter and just to get a tech to call me back is 10 days! Well that’s not great service! Hire more techs as every day I have to wait it’s an unreasonable expense. Come on Baker Electric - can I get some timely help!!!!

We have used Baker for roofing/solar/AC & heating/electric car charger installation, and upgrading our electrical panel. Recently one of our AC unit's pumps burned out so Charles came out today to fix it. Like all of the employees we've dealt with at Baker, he was professional, friendly, super nice, and efficient.

Had HVAC and solar panels installed. From start to finish everyone at Baker has been very professional. Kept us informed of timeline and progress. Had a small delay finishing up the roof but was weather related. One of the best regarding price, service and quality. Highly recommend.

It all comes down to communication. Baker was quick and easy to communicate with until we paid our deposit. Then it was radio silence for MONTHS while we waited for an install date. I sent an email saying that we were planning to drop and go with another company when "magically" they scheduled our install. Through the whole install process it was difficult to tell who was doing what and when it would be finished. We finally got the green light to "turn on" and the email excluded important information that would allow us to actually turn on. Would not go with them if I could do it again.

I purchased an expensive HVAC system from Baker Electric and constantly had their technicians come out and attempt to fix the system. The wall thermostat doesn't read accurately and their head technician just told me it does from his office in Escondido. It constantly reads high from the temperature readings of other sophisticated measuring devices. He basically gave me a tough luck attitude, so I'm done with Baker Electric. Sad ending and my wife keeps telling me we should have stayed with our original system, only adding salt to the wounds.

Save your money and RUN away from this "service" provider. I hired Baker Electric for a solar install in 2021. Of course the sales department was spot on with responsiveness but once the contract was signed, the operation revealed itself to be amateur hour. Once install was complete and we received the passed inspection we went "live". No instructions, no walk through of equipment or how anything works by Baker. Our electricity has not worked since we switched to the new equipment (and it has been more than one year). I cannot run a hairdryer or a washing machine. They have been here 5 times and each time cannot explain what is wrong other than to say it must be SDG&E's fault. I've had SDGE here 5 times as well (after each visit from Baker). They've replaced the line connecting us to the pole and beyond that, they are not responsible. After so many visits the last SDGE guy was nice enough to isolate the issue to one section of wiring- and guess what? It is part of the solar install. Now Baker wants $4k more to replace that wiring since the solar project was “already marked complete”. Per reports with Tesla we have had a noncompliant installation which has never worked properly with varying voltages.

One would think that on a more than $80k project, you would be assigned a relationship manager who would ensure at the completion of the project that basic electricity works in the house. Not with this company. I talk to a different person each time and each time with consistency they assure me it is not their fault- even hanging up on me when I asked to speak with to someone with authority. Buyer beware!
