Matson Alarm was established in 1974 to provide premium security systems in Fresno, CA and other surrounding areas. While the area has always been considered relatively safe in the past, the need for high tech commercial security systems in Fresno has risen sharply over the last several years. Local residents will be hard pressed to find an alarm company that will offer the same high level of service that our company provides.

Absolutely the worst alarm place to exist. Their customer service is terrible. I have called them multiple times to take the alarm system out and every time is some bull excuse why they cannot take it out. It's gone off multiple times where we finally had to clip the wires. The customer service lady was terrible telling me that they can send me to an emergency line that will BILL ME for after hours. Why should I be billed for a system that hasn't been used in years, is going off randomly, and now that I need help that your system messing up on and you didn't remove it??? No, I hung up. Never use this place.

Update (3/23/2026): I just got off the phone with the manager, Trina. She resolved the issue with an apology and reversed the prorated charge. That is what I call great customer service follow up. As a result, I changed the star rating from 1 to 4.

WORD OF CAUTION!
If you have been a long time Matson Alarm customer I would suggest you test your system, connectivity and contract.
We had a recent break-in at our business which was "supposedly" protected by Matson Alarm. Come to find out that they hadn't been receiving signal from our equipment "for quite some time." They couldn't tell me when the last time they received signal was, nor did they ever reach out to check. Yet they continue to collect my monthly service fee!!!!
We never had a rep come out when they were purchased by another company, nor has anyone ever reached out to even see if we should upgrade. We have had service since 2018!
We've switched to Brinx, got all new equipment, an app to set and track the alarm and the monthly fee is the same!
