Ricardo was great! He came out to my house for the estimate and wasn’t pushy at all. He took the time to walk me through the different options for my side gate so I could choose what worked best for me. Once everything was decided, he kept in regular communication throughout the whole process.

When it came time for installation, Ricardo and his father did the work themselves, and the gate looks amazing! They did excellent work, were professional, and paid attention to detail. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and great customer service.

After almost 30 years in our condo, it was time to move on and retire in Mexico. We wanted a complete remodel for the new owners and chose KoBolt Construction.
We received great bids from very credible local contractors, so the final choice was a tough one. koBolt’s bid was competitive and Nelson was very understanding of our project so we chose them.
We were out of the Country for the whole project, but Nelson kept us well informed with phone calls, emails, and pictures throughout the construction process.
KoBolt assigned a large crew and Manuel’s team was able to finish the remodel in 4 weeks; well ahead of schedule and about half the time of our other bids.
Although we had a budget to stick to – high quality materials were used throughout the job, including hardwood floors, quartz countertops, pet stain resistant carpet, and top quality cast-iron and fixtures.
The condo is stunning and has never looked better, including some features exclusive to our large complex.
We couldn’t be happier, and gladly recommend KoBolt for any construction project.

4 months later and WHAM! We were in Mexico and our Condo was vacant when the neighbors noticed water leaking out…
Our realtor went over and saw water dripping through the kitchen ceiling. One of the new angle valves in the upstairs bathroom failed and no one was there to see or shut it off. Nelson was there personally in less than an hour, with a full crew shortly behind.
KoBolt had a full crew working around the clock stripping off drywall and pulling up carpet, and then lots of fans and dryers for 2 days before reconstruction.
I can’t begin to describe the stress we were feeling seeing our beautiful new home in such a state. It was such a relief seeing Nelson was willing to pull workers off of other “Paying” jobs to get our place repaired as quickly as possible.
Less than a week later, and the condo looks fantastic once again!

Nelson is our trusted contractor who took care of our home renovation. We wanted to make our new house which we had just purchased into a more modern house with an open concept kitchen/living room. We are busy working parents with no previous experience of going through the home renovation process. We had heard many unsatisfying stories from our friends and families in dealing with contractors. Since we lack knowledge, time and experience, we desperately needed to find an expert who we could trust to satisfy our dreams and needs.
We started this whole process by interviewing a couple of contractors that were recommended online by reading reviews on Yelp, Google, Angies List, and Houzz. Since we are business owners ourselves and understand that online review platforms could be misleading with inaccurate reviews that were endorsed by businesses themselves, we could not fully trust those reviews. We started getting bids and interviewing the contractors. Kobolt Construction had great reviews. Albeit having only a limited number of reviews, we felt as though the reviews on Kobolt Construction were sincere. Since the company is fairly a young company, Nelson, the owner, responded directly himself whereas other companies were usual business-oriented companies that had sent their representatives or managers to give quick and broad estimates to sell products and earn the business. What really set Nelson apart from others was that he sat down with me and asked what we exactly envisioned and told us what is required to achieve the goal step by step in our first meeting. From meeting him, I could already tell that he is a very detailed oriented contractor who wanted to do an excellent job to make customers satisfied. He also promised us to be communicative throughout the whole process, which he ended up going above and beyond by texting/emailing promptly.
We ended up choosing him and had never regretted once after. He kept the timeline that he initially promised inexact. Every move was designed and calculated with his team of architects, interior designer, and subcontractors. Since we could not afford to stop by the job site every day, he would send daily reports with pictures every single day to update us. In fact, we only stopped by once a week since we decided to give him our full trust. We really appreciate the craftsmanships he and his team presented. There was no cutting corners or providing substandard jobs on any of the services they had provided. He refused to do any of the work without a city permit for our safety and quality. The end result had truly exceeded our expectations.
His price was very fair among other quotes that we received. Although he was not the cheapest, I knew I was not going to get any quality work in return with cheaper options. I actually think his price excellent with what he actually provides with his time and passion.
Overall, I would highly recommend Nelson to anyone who is looking for a contractor who he/she can trust. He had really treated us like his family from day one. He is a man with integrity and I respect him. Going through construction was a tough process from decision making to seeing unexpected things arise. However, I will truly miss our interaction. I thank God for sending him to us as I think it is very tough to meet a person you can really trust in this world. I look forward to any of our future collaboration together. I sincerely wish that people like Nelson would be blessed in whatever they do.

I found Kobolt Construction via Home Advisor after having a horrible experience with the first contractor I hired and fired. My first contact was with Bree, Nelson’s wife. I told her I required responsiveness throughout this project and if I wouldn’t receive that, tell me now so I can move on. Bree assured me Nelson was very responsive. While I was wary given my past experience, I scheduled a consult with Nelson. From the moment I met Nelson, he was professional and honest. We had a great initial first meeting to discuss the project (an 875 sq. ft. addition to the house). Nelson promptly followed up with a competitive and thorough bid. Nelson followed up offering me references. I checked with the references and all of them had nothing but great things to say about Nelson, his crew, his professionalism, the quality of his work as well as the fact work was completed on time and on budget. I was sold! We entered into a contract and Nelson has been professional, honest, thorough, incredibly responsive and communicative, while also offering suggestions to improve the project, not upselling, rather makes suggestions that may work better for our family. Nelson pays incredible attention to detail. Additionally, he has gone way above and beyond in helping us move this project forward with the City. The approval process was somewhat difficult. He was extremely helpful in helping us navigate through that process! To date, our project is not yet complete; however, once the project was approved by the City, Nelson and his wonderful crew were up and running and our project is moving along beautifully. A bonus: each day when they leave, the job site is very clean and neat. I have complete confidence we will be 100% pleased with the end result. I’m so incredibly happy with my choice in Kobolt that I had to write a review now! My only regret is that I didn’t find Nelson and Kobolt sooner! P. S. Kobolt Construction is truly the best construction firm you can hire. It is a family business, and they treat their clients like family. (I would like to believe that I am their favorite client ever, but I know they treat everyone special). I originally hired them to do two bathroom remodels and a kitchen remodel. As I saw their work, I kept adding more projects because I knew they were the best company for the job.
Nelson would sit with me every evening to go over the days activities as well as the plans for the next day. Nelson even helped me with other projects out of his scope, such as moving furniture and cleaning my garage. Every employee that worked on my project was nice and I felt extremely comfortable leaving them alone in my home. Working with Nelson, his beautiful wife Bree, and my daily crew, I can say that hiring Kobolt Construction was the best thing I've ever done for my house. I even got to meet their beautiful daughter who has blessed my life. Nelson's sister cleaned my house after the mess of the construction. She is as special and hard working as Nelson. I'm not letting her go. I truly feel my family has grown because of this company.

Nelson and his team renovated a bathroom for us, repaired drywall and installed flooring and we have never had a better experience with anyone in the construction field. To start, Nelson's proposal was like nothing we'd ever seen. It was detailed, transparent and easy to understand. The cost of the job was fair, and we got everything we paid for and more. Nelson responds in a timely manner, kept us updated daily throughout the job, showed up at the jobsite daily, was knowledgeable and highly skilled, had great ideas, listened to our needs and executed them beautifully. His crew was outstanding. They were on time, neat, clean, respectful of our home, and their workmanship and quality of work was outstanding. They completed the job in the amount of time projected and displayed themselves in a trustworthy and honorable manner. So thankful for people like Nelson and Kobolt Construction.

For our guest bath remodel, we interviewed three local contractors and Kobolt was the clear choice. Their bid was comparable to the others we received, but their service set them apart. The owner, Nelson, took the time to answer all of our questions about the process, worked to understand our design vision, and even produced complimentary renderings of showing what the finished product would look like (a nice surprise). Throughout the project Nelson and his crew did great work and kept a clean and orderly work site (that's important). Whenever any issues arose during the project (such as a supplier sending the wrong part) he took responsibility and quickly addressed the problem. Overall, we're really happy with the end result and we're planning to work with Kobolt again for our next project.

I first met Nelson (the owner) from Kobalt during my research for a contractor through home advisor. I met with a few contractors before I met Nelson and also after my meeting with him. I immediately had a good feeling about him and noticed how much pride and responsibility he takes of his work. He always answers your calls and he is very clear and honest from start to finish. I could just give him 5 stars for his work, however that wouldn’t be fair. He deserves a lot more than that. I had to place a new fence between my house and the neighbors and I learned pretty quickly that it is harder than you think to hire a company which is not specialized in fence installation to do the job. Nelson helped through the entire process by contacting manufactures and also to make sure he would install it properly and in a timely manner. I had a lot of issues having the material delivered (about 2 ½ months to be specific). Nelson understood and waited for the material to be available patiently. I design spaces and have an engineering degree myself. I am very specific and I know exactly what I want. I don’t expect anything less than perfection when it comes to any project and I will not write a good review unless it is fair and accurate. Also don’t write good reviews because someone asked me to. With that said, I will always take my time to recognize an AMAZING job with a PERFECT outcome. My fence has 86’ in length and it is a straight line. After Kobalt finished the work the first think I noticed is how every single panel is lined up perfectly. It is hard to go to the backyard and not just keep looking at it. It looks beautiful and high end. It is now the focal point of the yard and all my neighbors love it! Kobalt workers are friendly, kind, respectful and accountable. They worked over a holiday weekend with a smile in their faces. One of them passed on a family vacation to attend to my project. Not once he complained. He just wanted to make sure we were happy. They checked with me the entire time to make sure I was ok with the way the project was going. This is a company you can trust and has a unique quality that many out there don’t. They are not focused on the next job. They are focus on your job. The explanation is simple. They CARE!

They inspected the roof on my home and replaced some flashing, then handled some roof repairs at my business after an inspection found a few issues. They also did a complete tear-off and installed a brand new roof for me. Most recently, they put in two new windows and some siding. Every time I worked with Paul and the crew, they were professional, showed up on time, charged fair prices, and always kept the job site tidy. Any repairs were handled quickly and the quality of work has always been excellent. They made sure to leave everything clean when they finished. i want to give a big thanks to craig for all the help with my roof repair. i had a leak in my old roof, and craig found wind damage that needed to be fixed. he worked with me through the whole insurance claim process, which can be pretty stressful and slow, but he kept in touch and answered all my questions along the way. when it was time for the new roof installation, the crew finished the job quickly. there was a small issue when one of my garage lights and a security camera got damaged during the work, but craig took care of it right away and replaced them for me. that showed me the company really cares about their customers and stands by their work. i’m very happy with the whole experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing roofing services in california.

I only needed to pay for the permits before they started, and the rest was due once I was happy with the results. The whole team got started just a few days after I signed the agreement and finished the job quickly in about three days. The new roof looks fantastic. They used high-quality, impact-resistant shingles, and at the end, I got a detailed wind mitigation report to help save on my insurance. micah and his team were professional and attentive from the very start. the initial roof inspection was thorough, and they provided clear online quotes along with a good selection of roofing options. everything was explained in simple terms, which made the process easy to understand. we have a tile roof that hadn’t been cleaned in a while and had a lot of debris and moss buildup, but micah’s crew arrived on time and worked diligently under the hot california sun to get everything spotless. they also made sure to clean all the gutters and washed away any mess, leaving our place looking great. overall, excellent service. i definitely recommend them for any roofing needs.
