Check their Yelp reviews (2 stars compared to 5 here hmmm). For a move-out clean, they didn’t even bring a bucket and a mop (on the second time after we complained). Not trustworthy, as they seemed to take advantage of the move to do the bare minimum while ticking each box on the sheet. Stopped taking our calls after complaining, but I will be warning everyone to steer clear of a company who at least implicitly tolerates their employees taking advantage of people. Home smelled musty afterwards despite a “deep clean” promised.

If I could rate ZERO stars I would. After having numerous conversations about scheduling service with a very nice lady, our day of service came however, Merry Maids did not. I called after waiting almost an hour beyond their 'appointment window' only to be told by a very rude man that if I wasn't willing to allow them to come in and do what they could in two hours, that they weren't coming. I was scheduled for a five hour deep clean - walls, baseboards, dusting fans and vents, etc. when I explained this to the man, he asked me to pick a couple rooms & maybe they could get some of it done & then maybe they could come back next week sometime.

This is unacceptable - the lady who scheduled my appointment was adamant that I be available at my pre-designated time so the cleaners wouldn't be delayed however, when they don't show up on time for their appointment, the customer is expected to agree to mediocre services?

I initially selected Merry Maids because I was hoping to have a reliable company to give my house a good cleaning for the Holidays and not have to worry about no shows or possibly having issues that sometimes present with unlicensed individuals. Guess I'll keep looking for a service because this branch of Merry Maids is rude and unprofessional.

Very HAPPY with my cleaning yesterday done by Ms. Valeria.
I pulled in to my garage at about 5:45pm yesterday, I opened up my car door and smelled the AMAZING aromas of a CLEAN HOME (I truly believe that is what my HEAVEN will smell like). When I walked inside, I went straight to the restroom first (as I have a 47 mile commute) and I immediately noticed my hardwood floors were shining, the tile in the bathroom was sparkling and the mirrors had not one dirty mark or streak. I went to the kitchen to start dinner and was in shock by how clean my stove was. I am Portuguese and Italian and we are raised to keep a CLEAN HOME at all times (growing up, our Saturdays always consisted of a FULL DAY OF LEARNING how to PROPERLY CLEAN THE HOUSE). My home is never really dirty but I am a working mother with a very long commute so I appreciate a little extra "nitty gritty" help from a house cleaner once a month. I moved to Gilroy 15 years ago, and have been struggling until now to find a GOOD CLEANER. I've been using Merry Maids for about 3 years and the cleanings have been ok. But this time, the gal that did our cleaning (which was her first time at our place) did an EXCEPTIONAL JOB! I asked my husband how long she stayed and how many came to clean with her and was SHOCKED to hear it was ONLY HER and it took her maybe 30 minutes longer. We've always had two or three gals come out and take the same amount of time and it's never been as good as it was yesterday. My bed hasn't been made in a cleaning for about 6 months. Yesterday was the first time in 6 months my bed was made. My microwave had never been cleaned until yesterday. I hope and pray that Ms. Valeria cleans my home from now. We will be sure we have something for her then next time she comes to our house as she deserves it. She did an awesome job and I hope and pray that Merry Maids lets her know! Thank you Ms. Valeria

They said they would be there between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. I waited and waited...and waited. No one showed up and no one even cared to update me. I called their office and they said they would be right over.

A woman arrived and charged me $245.00 to clean a tiny (400sq. ft.) 1 bedroom apartment, which was absolutely outrageous. I was in a hurry so I agreed.

The cleaning was below average. I could have done a better job myself in half the time. One of the cleaning ladies asked me how much I paid. When I told her, she laughed at me. After the cleaning ladies left, I finished the cleaning myself.

I specifically asked for a receipt to be emailed to me. What a surprise...I did not get a receipt. This company fails on every level. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this company.

Since I have had cancer, cleaning our home has been the very last chore on the list. Merry Maids contacted me through Good Samaritan Hospital and arrived very punctually, carrying all their own supplies. While they were working on the stairs, I was going to the second floor to hide out with the cats when a very strong arm steadied my arm and helped me up the stairs.

I awakened from my nap and they were gone. My husband was able to say goodbye. Our house sparkles! Good job!

Gloria and Estefania did a fantastic job, the house is spotless. They were both very sweet and friendly and paid attention to detail. I look forward to having them back for my regular cleanings. The staff at Merry Maids was very helpful too, they answered all of my questions ahead of time and sent me updates via email and text. I highly recommend

Merry Maids Is the best! The team of Maria And Rosie were professional and very hard working. My house never looked better. They will be a permanent addition to my house. I can't say enough about them.

I have been very fortunate to have been selected for their “Cleaning for a Cause” program, that cleans the homes of cancer patients for free while they undergo treatment. They have done a lovely job cleaning my home. It has been wonderful to have one less thing to worry about at this time.

I am very pleased with the service I receive from Magdelena Castro every week. She is very thorough, and pleasant! My house always smells and looks so good after she leaves! I would recommend Merry Maids/Gilroy to anyone!

I have had Stheffany and Gloria both clean my house and extremely pleased with their work and Yvette that does the scheduling is outstanding she works with my schedule. I like the fact that it was easy to deal with everyone in the company who contacted me. The charges are quite reasonable and you were very willing to listen to any concerns I had about not needing the really big first time cleaning and to suggest one that was less expensive but thorough enough, since I didn't consider my home one that needed a major, major cleaning as some probably do. I appreciated the willingness to provide service on the days and times most convenient to me, which is unfortunately not the case with some businesses I deal with. The women who came here to clean were on time, very friendly, and very thorough and efficient. They are a delight! I also appreciate you calling and e-mailing to remind me of the service day and time as well as doing the same afterwards to make sure I was satisfied with everything. I feel sure our arrangement will be a good one for me, and I will certainly recommend you to anyone looking for a cleaning service.

We hired Merry Maids of Gilroy a few months back. Yvette was very helpful and answered all of our questions regarding the services they offer. The team assigned to our home is Gloria and Stheffany. They are both very good at what they do. They always arrive on time and is very friendly. Just a pleasure to interact with them. Once they figured out how we like things done, my wife and I did not have to worry about anything. They have been excellent. We can tell Merry Maids of Gilroy really cares about their clients. We feel very comfortable having them in our home. The service so far have been great. We highly recommend this business.

Merry Maids of Gilroy have been cleaning my home for many many years. There are many things we like about your service. First, and foremost, is the quality of the service we receive from Camarena and her team. She is professional, thorough and trustworthy. Secondly, we like the advance notice of when we might expect the team and the flexibility of being able to change cleaning dates when the need arises. We have recommended Merry Maids to friends and neighbors and will continue to do so.

I waited until I had a few cleanings before rating and today was my 3rd cleaning and each time they did a fantastic job. On a side note, I like the text reminder the day before the service and then the day of service text giving me the hour window they will be here and yet another text notifying me they are on their way. Overall I've been very happy with the cleaning services provided.

We had let the cleaning of the house go for the past 5+ years, only concentrating on the necessary areas. Steffany & her team were incredibly kind & non-judgmental. They came prepared for some hard work! They did a lovely job, with all the years of neglect & with all the knick-knacks we have around the house. They were efficient & detail-oriented. The place looks brighter & smells so fresh & clean. We are grateful beyond words!!

Professional and friendly. Erika and Alondra worked hard the entire time they were here, and did an excellent job. They cleaned my upper kitchen cabinets and open shelving being sure to place items back in their proper position. They used great care in cleaning my antique plates hanging on my walls. Definitely worth it!
