I made an appointment for my hydronic heating system. I made a second call and confirmed, letting them know what’s wrong with the unit. I waited the whole day, they gave me an appointment for 8-4, nobody called to cancel. I called and learned they don’t work with a hydronic system, which is odd after confirming twice.

I needed a new thermostat, as my old one one had broken and my house was cold! The staff person , Jaleel, did a fantastic job explaining my options in new thermostats , which are many . He gave me lots of choices , including my buying a thermostat from Amazon and then having the company install it. Amazon could not deliver quickly , so I went with the model of smart thermostat that the staff person recommended and that was in his truck. It required linking to a phone app, so I could control the temperature remotely . The staff person installed the new
Device and then walked me through the phone link up and how to control the temperature both on the wall unit and on my phone . It took about 1 hour , and the person was professional and patient throughout. He left me with a very good understanding of how to operate the system . I would recommend Albert Nahman Heating highly. Their service and level of care was exceptional .

I was very happy with the Albert Nahman technician. She arrived promptly, was friendly, explained exactly what she was doing, showed me the process while she was doing it, and was very efficient. It was money well spent to discover that we did not have a leak.

It is upsetting when you notice water pooling at the bottom of your 21 year old water heater. After seeing this a week ago, we started a search for a company to replace the water heater. We got proposals from three companies including Albert Nahman Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. Two proposals were hand-written, hardly legible; the third proposal was professionally prepared and received by email soon after my meeting with Jared Brown, Field Supervisor for Albert Nahman. So, even though the Albert Nahman proposal was about 10% higher than the lowest proposal, I chose them due to the professional appearance of the people who worked for them and their history in our neighborhood. The results were just fine. I was impressed with the lead technician, DeAndre, who went the extra mile during the install, having to make a extra trip to the shop. He showed up right on time and finish the job on the day the was promised.

We realized Sunday morning, in the middle of a week-long storm, that we couldn't hear the sump pump going in our crawl space. Called Nahman and they said someone would be there the next day. The guy showed up on time and crawled through ankle-deep water to get the sump pump. It was kaput. The repairman replaced the pump in short order and got our crawl space emptied. Very professional. Very friendly. I will use them again if (awful thought!) I have more plumbing problems.

I thought the garbage disposal in the kitchen needed to be replaced. The technician showed me what was wrong, fixed the disposal, and showed me how to easily fix it if the problem ever repeated. This was very helpful. The technician also found the source of a drain problem in the bathroom which was also an easy fix. The response time, service, and technicians were all excellent. Thank you.

Albert Nahman installed a brand new furnace in 2017 and they have maintained my unit to keep it in excellent running condition. They even offer a membership which I signed up for immediately. They are by far the best in the business.

Overall we were frustrated. Although the technician was good at what he did, we called with an emergency which was not resolved until a full week later. We had gone with them to repair the issue promptly and had even been given lower bids for the job, but had gone with Albert Nahman because they had indicated it would take only two days. Then after calling to see what the hold up was, we were essentially told lies that the technician would be there first thing, that he was on his way etc, but none of this was true. I would not recommend them for any emergency situation. If you don’t mind waiting for a week to get a fix, then the job they ended up doing was good and professional.

Our 25 year old water heater finally broke. Albert Nahman to the rescue. They gave a fair price and had it installed a day later along with the electrical work that need to happen to switch from gas to electric units. I'm very satisfied.

Sadly Albert Nahman Plumbing tried to scam me. The employee (Ricardo who has worked there for 5 years) told me I needed to replace my heater and tried to sell me a new one - which they could install the very next day due to a convenient opening. Sounded too slick. I called a friend to send an HVAC person he trusted to look an my heater. In 10 minutes, he changed the fuse and my heater is working just fine. I called the manager at Albert Nahman who didn’t sound surprised at all at my experience. Albert Nahman was bought out by investors years ago and they will do anything to make money, even try to sell me a new heater I don’t need for $8,500. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these con artists. If they say you need repairs or a new unit, get a second opinion. There are honest people out there who deserve your business.

Ricardo (the technician) came out and diagnosed my 20-30 yr old furnace and confirmed my it had died. I ordered a new one that will be installed on Monday. I am happy with their customer service and the quick turnaround for the replacement. I also purchased a maintenance plan to keep the new system in good working condition for as long as possible. I am very happy with the customer service and responsiveness of Albert Nahman company and would recommend them for heating needs.

I was very pleased with the prompt response of Albert Nahman plumbing. I had an area of my bathroom ceiling that kept getting wet ,moist soon became mold after getting under the paint we removed the Sheetrock. After checking with camera and crawl space Carlos said it was clean,dry. He recommended a bathroom ceiling fan even though I have window . Carlos was very pleasant,respectful,and honest. I will call on them in the future. Thank you for your help,service.

Ricardo provided a great estimate and proposal, and Steve and Mateos did an excellent job installing a new furnace, plenum, zone board, dampers, and two Ecobee Premium smart thermostats. We’re very happy with the services provided and highly recommend Albert Nahman for HVAC services.

I engaged Albert Nahman Plumbing because I had a minor leak in an old section of galvanized pipe under my kitchen sink.

My experience was a disappointment and I would not recommend this outfit for small repairs, for the following reasons:

Prices were very high, work recommendations did not follow best practices and communication with both the technician and the supervisor to address the issues were difficult. Here are some specifics:

- installing a temporary cap to a 1/4" copper pipe so we could turn the water back on = $415
- replacing ONE 16" piece of galvanized pipe and ONE 90 degree elbow with copper = $1,136 (and join with existing copper line) and replacing ONE old shutoff valve with ONE ball valve = $336
- the technician recommended that the existing shutoff valves for hot and cold be removed all together below the kitchen sink. He recommended we simply turn off the water at the house if we needed to work on the kitchen faucet.

I attempted to reach out to a supervisor a number of times to get clarity on the pricing and technical recommendation but that was not successful.

Apparently they use a price book that has minimum thresholds and are not able to calibrate their pricing model for a small repair. I understand one has to pay for expertise, overhead, working in tight spaces and craftsmanship warranty but I feel that the prices quoted to be egregiously high and frankly predatory (to temporarily cap the leaky pipe, which took the technician 10 minutes to do cost us $415).

On the upside, the scheduling staff was very helpful and professional.

The firm might be a good fit for a bigger job but should not be used for a small repair, despite what their website advertises, unless you want to be gouged.

Overall I am very disappointed in my experience and would not recommend them.

Very prompt polite and helpful. Really appreciate. Price significantly more than a Google search suggested I should pay for replacing a water heater in Berkeley, but Josue came out and did it within 5 hours of my calling.

There were two sewer line problems in my basement. The plumbing tech handled both during consecutive days and the fixes look good and the system is working well. Josue Hernandez, your tech, had to deal with cramped quarters in a smelly crawl space and was good-natured and very efficient and thorough. We really appreciate the good work he did. Our hot water heater was accidentally turned of during the work and, when I could not turn it on, Albert Nahman Plumbing sent out another tech, without charge, to remedy the problem.

Josuy scoped out the project, recommended a replacement toilet, picked up a unit from the warehouse and installed it. The project was completed efficiently and promptly. I would recommend Nahman Plumbing to anyone and I will seek them out the next time I need a plumber.

Tara from Albert Nahman plumbing came out and did a excellent job installing a new toilet. She let the work area spotless and I was very impressed with her work. I would highly recommend this company

Sal and the team at Albert Nahman are always on task, thorough and timely. Reliable for both planned maintenance and those last-minute surprises. On our most recent visit Sal retrieved jewelry from our bathroom sink plumbing. We are so grateful.

I was contacted by this company in response to a plumbing issue. Turns out they were here about a year ago to handle a water heater crisis. Today’s pipe was not a crisis but both times these folks came, evaluated my situation and made repairs on the same day at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Francisco did a great job after my son decided to flush his socks down the toilet. I appreciated that he started with the easiest option rather than jumping to removing the toilet. Thankfully it was an easy fix! Francisco was friendly and professional and saved the day!
