I’ve used Amin at Irvine Air for two properties. They were prompt, returned all phone calls and completed the job with no issues. They installed an air conditioner during the heat wave quickly and were lifesavers!

I came to Amin after another company quoted me a price that seemed way too high for a replacement part. I ordered the part myself (for a fraction of the price), and Amin had no issues with installing it. He was also able to get the official version of that part for almost the same price, but much better warranty.

His colleague installed it super quickly, and explained all the questions I had for them. Both were great communicators. And all of this arranged within a few days! Their knowledge of the system, fast workmanship, and flexibility in how the installation was done, gave me great confidence that we got a high quality installation for a fair price.

It was fun to be able to speak Dutch with Amin--we discovered we grew up in the same region of the Netherlands. Groetjes!

I recently worked with Amin and his team to complete a major upgrade: replacing a 24-year-old AC and gas furnace system, plus a separate ADU unit, with two new heat pumps. It was a big project, and I had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Amin was great to work with—he was incredibly patient with my questions and helped me navigate the options. He ensured we selected units that met my specific preferences for refrigerant and low noise levels, while also qualifying for federal tax credits. On top of the expert guidance, his pricing was very reasonable and competitive.

The installation crew was professional and did a great job. We ran into a few unforeseen issues during the process, but Amin and the team explained everything clearly and resolved the situations perfectly. They always kept me in the loop and explained the solutions and options. Some of the solutions required electrical work and painting, but Amin even went above and beyond by referring contractors to help who also had fair and competitive pricing. I highly recommend Amin and Irvine Air!

these guys really came through for us when our system went down in the middle of a hot stretch last summer. they were able to get someone out to our house within a few hours of calling which was a huge relief. the technician was knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly then explained what parts were needed and the expected cost before doing anything. he also took the time to explain the SEER rating on our unit and what that meant for efficiency. the repair was completed the same day and our house was cool again by evening. the whole experience from the initial phone call to the finished work was handled professionally and efficiently. they followed up the next week to make sure everything was still running properly. we have already passed their number along to a couple of friends who were looking for dependable service.

Stay away from this company! We are going to cancel our home warranty policy with AHS after this bad experience. See other reviews and pay attention.

This is the worst company I have dealt with. My home owners warranty has sent them out twice and both time the service was horrible. So, the first time they came out the tech mumbled that thr cost to repair the AC unit is more then the fee. The next thing I hear from the warranty company (American Home Shield) is that the AC isn't working because there are sprinklers around it. I complain and they come back out. This time the guy says he can't look at the AC because there is something wrong with the fuse cover. His solution is $250 in parts plus labor. I findfind part on eBay for $6.99 while he is there and fix the issue in a few minutes. He ckmco back out a year later, spends 5 min there and again blames sprinklers.

Horrible! AHS, our HomeProtevtion Company had sent an item in need of being replaced to them by mistake and Anabelle never said anything, making us wait one month looking for it, many calls to AHS, till we found out. Second occassion she lied saying she had sent the work order to AHS gor approval, but when we callled AHS, they did not have it.
I don't understand why Homeprotection Companies use unreliable contractors

this is scam company working with AHS. the agent came to my house then he wrote a report that work was done on this AC last summer even though during his visit he told me the unit is the original unit and nothing was done on the unit and it needs to be replaced. but on the report he lied so now AHS says well your claim is denied because the agent said something was done last summer. i don't even know how he came p with the timeline last summer. but this how they operate. they work based on the AHS service fee then write false report to deny the claim then on to the next customer. this company and AHS work together so beware !!

American home shield assigned this company to help me fix my heater and I'm so glad they did. They were quick, thorough, and kind. I will definitely be using them in the future! Thanks again!

AC broke they were assigned by AHS- warranty company, very unsatisfied with their service, their customer service is the worst, they deserve minus 10 if it was available. After the initial assignment from the warranty company, it took few attempts to get the first appointment by me calling them, they never called, finally they set a window of 3-6 for Friday with their technician, day before appointment, text message came in with confirming to take the 8 hours window for same appointment ( so they want me to stay home all day), once I objected with text and phone calls (Every time I called I was put on hold for 10-15 minutes and of course couple of time their lady receptionist hung up), finally set the correct time and tech showed up with some Mickey Mouse estimate, he added a 3 ton unit, mine is 3.50 ton, no other details, he made a note that need to be replace due to rust, never checked the furnace or anything else... once I called back the company to get the estimate, the same lady put me on hold and left for the day, never came back that day. Long story short, do yourself a favor, these people are rude and incompetent, they will waste your time and money, I gave up and thanks god never got to the part to see what happens if they actually perform the job.

Technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem. He could not have been more helpful.

I highly recommend Metropolitan, heating and air company. We had a great experience when they came to service our heater. They were prompt, polite, honest, and professional. We will be using them again when needed.

My Tenant was concerned about whether the A/C unit was functioning appropriately , so based upon previous positive experience i called Metropolitan. Adam came out and made sure the freon was at the correct level and the compressor , condensor, blower where working appropriately and measured the temperature in the unit with his own equipment. He assessed that everything was working fine and did not try to sell me on something that i didn't need just to make his company $$. Two positive expereinces with Metropolitan now. I recommend them and will be using them again.
Had an Issue with my home unit a while back and it turned out i had a blocked overflow line that had flooded my ceiling. Adam and his father cleared the line and installed a cuttoff switch so if it blocked again it wouldn't flood and start mold again. Well here we are 9 months later and the dust & schmutz that floats around CA clogged it again. They came out and cleared the line for me in a short time and helped me out very professionally once again.
This is a family run business and they are great, and stand behind their work, and know what they are doing. Can't say enough good things about them.

The company was sent to me by AHS. Metropolitan sent their technician Adam to address my issues. He was totally professional, very likable, and diagnosed and fixed my problem almost instantly. I would definitely use this company again to address my HVAC issues

After having two, very reputable HVAC companies, tell me there is a serious problem with my furnace after they were tuning up my HVAC, I wanted to service my furnace through my home warranty. The two other, highly reviewed companies both told me that the pilot fire from the furnace was not appropriately going where it needed to go and that even a part of the metal was cracked due to this problem. The two reputable companies told me it needed to be fixed ASAP because of the danger of a house fire.

So I went through my warranty, American Home Shield, and had Metropolitan come and service my furnace . They initially said there is nothing wrong. I explained them what the two other companies told me and the tech said the two companies were just trying to gouge me. They told me that it would only be a problem if any of the metal was cracked. After their checkup of the the furnace and saying everything was fine, I had to show them the crack in the metal. This proved to them that there is something wrong with the furnace. They took the cracked metal, and told me they would replace it and fix the pilot light another day.

Today they came and replaced the metal that was cracked, which was basically just treating the symptom and not the actual problem. They told me that they did their job and to sign some papers. I told them that their tech would also fix the pilot light problem, but he said there is nothing wrong with it. I calmly told the tech I did not feel comfortable signing because the actual problem was not fixed and that it should be fixed before signing the papers. I was just worried of the risk of my house burning down and my family be in danger because of it, especially after two different, very reputable and highly reviewed companies assessed and diagnosed the SAME problem.

The tech just walked away and was yelling at me and got into his car and left. I never NEVER had this type of customer service. I would steer clear from this company. I rarely write bad reviews of companies, but this is by the far the worst company I've ever dealt with.

so thankful that I found this company. They were sent by AHS and after many frustrations with other AC heating companies. Adam came to check my AC and tested for leaks and said another person would come by a day after. Nas came by a day after and OMG fixed the AC in no time! like magic my AC works great after many other companies came by and didn't do anything and tried to up sell me on stuff.I am truly lucky because I was one hairline away from giving up completely and resigning to the fact I need a whole new system but thankfully Adam and Nas figured out the problem and fixed it.
This company is: professional, responsive, skilled, the employees in the office and who came to my house amazingly professional and genuinely caring.
they worked in this scortching heat and I just can't describe how happy I am they were picked by my insurance. They figured out and fixed what other companies could not fix.

Hottest day of the year and the house is heating up. I thought it was the back door. I was wrong. I called Metropolitan and ADAM was right there when I needed him, and in a mask. I thought for sure this was a big deal. He was professional and very polite and so helpful. He showed me the problem and it was a quick fix. He had the part it needed and all fixed so quick. My AC is blowing cool again and we are all happy.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Great job, honest, friendly, and I RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE.

I had Adam out to diagnose my air conditioner via AHS. He was very nice and on time but that won't fix my air conditioner. He noted the wiring was bad and shorted out the compressor. He said the compressor is so old its not worth fixing and should be replaced. He then told us the wiring was chewed by household pets. We told him that was not possible because there are no household pets that go on that patio. Its a very small enclosed cement patio for a condo. He reported this to AHS anyway and they denied our repair. So unfair to not listen to the homeowner.
