We contact these company on Feb. They are very professional group of people. I really recommend them. They help with our big Pine tree, the tree branch was huge and they cut a main branch. We feel free of danger because the main branch was over our home. Thank you guys.

I had them trim my neighbor's trees and remove ivy from my yard. They snapped a sprinkler clear off the pipe, they removed my carnations which clearly do not look like ivy. They took an extra ten feet off my neighbor's trees and didn't shape them as discussed.

I called several times months apart for them to send someone to fix the sprinkler. They told me they would call back to schedule and never did each time.

The destruction they cause and frayed nerves are not worth the "discount."

I have used Discount Tree Care Arborist twice over the past two years. I found their rate reasonable, and the work was
terrific. I have a huge eucalyptus tree & was afraid of branches falling on my neighbor's patio. The employee climbed the tree to prune it perfectly. They also pruned another tree, topped the bushes along the back wall & artfully trimmed my trumpet vines. I highly recommend them. The employees are friendly & they clean everything up before leaving. .

I'm so satisfied, I took before and after pictures and can't wait to show the professional and fast work they did. Three trees in 4 hours. Can beat that. The crew worked well together, ready for any challenge.

We have 3 juniper trees and the one on the left got knocked over and uprooted a bit during a storm, making it much further forward than the others. They all badly needed to be trimmed as well. Abel's crew talked with me about the long term health of the trees and gave me options for what I wanted to do. They warned me about the browning parts that would be revealed and carefully planned with me exactly which branches I was ok with trimming and what the effects would be. They were able to even out the tree that had fallen forward with the others and made sure that my palm tree in the middle had sunlight above so it could grow. They got the work done quickly as well and had a big truck come out to dispose of all the debris. My yard was cleaner afterward than before they came.

These guys really know about trees and have a passion for their work. One of the guys that came out had several decades of experience and was extremely wise about tree care which I appreciated as I felt lucky to have someone with that kind of knowledge take care of my trees. Everyone was very polite and professional. 10/10 would hire these guys again.

Had them removed my 10+ yo olive tree. They offered the best price and the work was done quick (less than 2 hrs) the area was also throughly cleaned. Even my neighbor was surprised at how fast they worked! Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend!!

Abel is amazing he came and gave me a fair estimate. He then came did the work exactly how he said it would be done and even did more than what was contracted! That is good business when a person tells you they're going to do something and find something in between still wrong and fixes it just on the fact that it needed to be fixed is not only good business it shows amazing CHARACTER. I would suggest his business be used for any job you have you will be very pleased with the work.

The best! Called them for a quote in the morning to remove a 40' pine from my yard and they were here within 30 minutes to give me a quote. Crew was here within the hour and the job was completely finished within 2 hours. They were professional, efficient and friendly. They cleaned up with care and left my yard cleaner than it was before they started. The cost was very reasonable. They had the job completed before the other companies I had contacted for a bid returned my text. I would give them my highest recommendation!

This company DOES NOT prioritize what would be of best interest to you, the homeowner, and your trees. This company prioritizes getting quick jobs.

As new homeowners, we were concerned about a large ~40ft tree in our yard that was spilling onto our 2 story back unit, so we called Discount Tree Care Arborist for some advice. The person they sent out was, in hindsight, not a true, certified arborist (although they do seem to have one on their staff, as I will talk about later). He told us the tree needed to be trimmed immediately to prevent damage to the structure that it was touching. He gave us the option of trimming/lacing it, or trimming it to the point where we wouldn’t have to call him back for another five years. As new homeowners with an overwhelming to do list, that sounded great! Something we could check off on our to do list and not have to worry about again for five years. Little did we know that this would doom our tree.

The job was completed, and the tree was cut/trimmed/topped back significantly. It was a bit shocking to see the final result (see after picture from May 2023), but assumed these guys knew what they were doing since they are “arborists”. Over the next month the tree lost whatever leaves it had left and as new, inexperienced homeowners and someone who doesn’t have much knowledge about trees, we assumed the leaves would grow back the next season.

Fast forward over a year and the tree has never recovered. Leaves never grew back. We called the same company back and a younger fellow (Abel, I think was his name) came out to assess the tree. He said that the tree was probably cut too extremely causing the tree to go into shock. The tree never recovered and now the tree is dead. He did say that he was the certified arborist on staff at this company and asked who came from his company to do the job last year. Unfortunately, I did not have that information anymore and leads me to believe that the first person who came out for our job from this company wasn’t really an even an arborist and it was strange to me that they didn’t even know who they had sent for our job. It also frustrates me that they didn’t send their real arborist the first time around resulting in a dead tree.

I do bear responsibility for not doing better research on how to take care of the tree and how we should have gotten it trimmed before agreeing to the service. I have since learned about the risks of topping trees and the best time of year to trim/cut, etc. On the other hand, I would have expected a company calling themselves “arborists” to lead and help their customers to make the best decisions for the well being of their trees. I’m frustrated and sad that this company did not prioritize the well-being and future of our tree but rather prioritized getting that quick job at the cost of a beautiful tree. We’ve recently contracted a couple other tree services and another certified arborist all of whom have agreed that there is no coming back for this tree. Now we get to spend another $1k+ getting the remains of this tree removed before it potentially falls over because it’s totally dead now. And I can tell you that we will definitely not be calling Discount Tree Care Arborists for that job and will not be recommending this company to any friends, family, or neighbors.

We needed someone to remove dead palms from the palm tree in our front yard. Abel responded within minutes, and was extremely professional. He said he would come over within an hour to look at our tree so he could give an estimate.
True to his word he was there, asked questions about the scope of the work to be done and quoted a price that was 40% less than the LOWEST price. Once we agreed to the cost his team arrived within 20 minutes. They worked quickly, and cleaned up after they were done.

We are so appreciative to Abel and his team and will recommend to anyone looking for a professional tree trimmer.

Abel and his team were amazing. They were extremely responsive. I requested a quote and within minutes Abel called me and was able to come to my property to give me a quote. After that, scheduling was super easy. His team came and removed a large tree in front of my house. They were quick and efficient and tidy. You would never know an 80ft tree used to be there. Highly recommend!

Discount Tree Care Arborist did an excellent job trimming my 30-foot-tall Coral tree, my 25-foot-tall rubber tree and 3 Mexican Palm trees about 100 feet tall each, as you can see in the photos. There was a crew of about 10 that arrived on time and began working immediately and efficiently and expertly, trimming the right amount in the right places producing a symmetrical shape that is both healthy and pleasing to the eye. I have hired numerous trimmers in the past, but the other trimmers results, were not nearly symmetrical and there would be uneven areas that I had to point out for them to correct their mistakes. But that was not the case with Discount Tree Care. This company trimmed it perfect the first time, and in less than half the time that the other tree companies would take. And after they were finished, the cleaned every spot in my yard, from the rooftops to the ground. Abel the owner also advised me of how to avoid my coral tree from rotting and eventually splitting and falling and very inexpensive and simple even for me to do. And Jaime, his son, supervised the entire job asking me to inspect their work to insure I was 100% satisfied, which I was. I expressed to Jaime how impressed I was with his concern for my complete satisfaction and told him about the poor quality of past tree companies. I told him I was also happy with his entire crew. They also seemed passionate about doing a good job and taking pride in their work. Jaime told me that they treat their workers well like family. He said his company was started by his grandfather, an arborist, and his dad has many years' experience of many types of trees and plants and has 4 brothers that all work for the business, so it is and has been a family owned business for many years. I will surely hire Discount Tree Care Arborist for all my tree needs in the futures. I highly recommend them.

Petter and his team helped me cut down three big trees with a lot of wires surrounded. After getting the quote at 2pm, they started the work the same day and finished the day after. Grinded all the roots and cleaned up the leftover. Very professional work and great customer service.

Amazing work at a great price! Couldn’t be happier as in only half day, the crew removed a problem tree that was threatening the foundation of two houses. They also provided proof that they were fully insured, unlike other companies in Orange County that were fudging it.

A big tree in our backyard fell during a big storm not too long ago. The branches were already cut off, but the main tree still had to be removed. We got a few quotes. Abel gave us a reasonable price. My husband and I also liked that he was very knowledgeable about trees. Fast forward to today, the crew came early and worked fast. They were professional and very polite. They hauled away all the branches that had already been cut off, which left our front yard clean. They cleaned up really well. The crew did an awesome job!

Paid $150 only stump removing. 3 guys showed. They grind with machine and said done. I asked to dig more for the roots. They said they do not have ax. Supplied ax&shovel. Then 1/4 roots came. I do not think they took all the roots. Job less than one hour. Very unprofessional attitude.

We have used Discount Tree Care Arborist for over ten years. Annually we call Abel and his crew comes out and prunes, trims and cleans up our Chinese Elm. His crew is very professional and leaves our property spotless as if they were never there. They even take the time to relocate birds nests within the tree and always ensures the wife's bird feeder is back in place when finished. I would recommend Abel and his crew if you want a quality tree trimming for a reasonable price.

The lady I talked to at Economy Tree Service was EXTREMELY rude on the phone with me!!!!!!!!! I stated we know the tree has shot hole borer disease and needs the injection treatment, yet this lady wanted to ding us HUGE$ for an inspection. So, if you want to pay hundreds or thousands for a simple tree treatment then you have come to the right arborist! This lady I was talking to on the phone would probably have blown a gasket if I quoted her word for word what ChatGPT said I should pay for the treatment.

Go anywhere else and save your money!!! Best to talk to your neighbors and tree trimmers to see who they recommend or if there is less expensive systemic treatments you can DIY. Sorry, but I ain't paying $1000+ for a tree that cost 15.00 bucks!

Also, it is very strange that most reviews on here are 10 years or more old. They probably don't do residential service any more. I any guessing by how rude they are on the phone that they only do mostly commercial jobs now???
