Constraction reviews in Manhattan Beach, California

Mike and his team did an outstanding job upgrading our home’s exterior siding and transforming our backyard with beautiful hardscape & landscaping work. The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail exceeded our expectations!

MB Pacific Development is awful! Mike gave us a great price on our project, then flooded us with change orders once the work started. Costs kept increasing to the point where the project became unaffordable. It felt like the low bid was just a way to get the contract signed; he doesn’t respect his clients!

HIRE ANYONE ELSE!!! At the start Mike showed us amazing designs and sold us the dream, but once the contract was signed, it turned into a NIGHTMARE! He lacked basic construction knowledge and project management skills. Subcontractors were poorly scheduled (or not scheduled at all), work had to be redone multiple times, and the job dragged on far longer than it should have. The lack of organization and construction knowledge caused constant delays and frustration. Horrible experience!

**Review:** If you're considering a home remodeling project, I highly recommend BrilliantBuilds General Contractors. My experience with Howard and his team during our complete kitchen remodel was outstanding. They treated our kitchen project with great care, almost as if it were their own. From the start, the team was fantastic to collaborate with. Whenever there was a task that required more expertise, Howard quickly brought in specialized workers to ensure everything was done right. His attention to detail is impressive, and with decades of experience, he knows how to make a remodel successful. The crew was not only hardworking but also very friendly and open to our feedback. They listened to our concerns, big or small, and Howard was particularly accommodating. For example, when I mentioned wanting to minimize construction dust, he promptly set up 6-mil plastic barriers with Zipwall and arranged for intake and exhaust fans to help clear the air. During the project, we did face a minor hiccup with a subcontractor who wasn’t familiar with inset cabinets, leading to some errors. However, Howard quickly took charge of the situation. He sourced new quartz slabs and brought in a different subcontractor from Baystone to redo the work, ensuring everything was up to our standards. He even found specialists to repair and repaint the cabinets, which were quite an investment. Unlike many contractors, who might leave you in a bind, Howard took full responsibility and made sure the issue was resolved promptly. Although it meant we had to wait a bit longer for completion, he prioritized our satisfaction, demonstrating his integrity as a professional. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with how our kitchen turned out. The cabinets are beautiful, with Cambria Portrush quartz countertops, a Miele Steam Combi-oven, a Bosch dishwasher, a BlueStar stove top, and a Fotile range hood. I’m excited to work with Howard and his team for any future remodeling needs! Feel free to reach out if you need more information.

We were a bit apprehensive about embarking on our first kitchen remodel for our home, but we were quickly put at ease by the team at BrilliantBuilds General Contractors. Brent, Ryan, and Devin were instrumental in helping us navigate the potentially stressful process. They consistently provided accurate estimates and their quick, helpful communication was very reassuring. Whether we needed clarity on issues like plumbing or electrical codes, they were always knowledgeable and ready to assist. We felt quite comfortable leaving them to handle the remodeling work while we were out during the day. If you're in Manhattan Beach and in need of a team that combines a keen artistic eye, modern taste, and top-notch craftsmanship, then you'll be delighted with these guys. No signature or name was needed to vouch for their excellent service.

If you're on the hunt for a top-tier, reasonably priced home remodeling contractor, you can cut out a lot of legwork by getting in touch with BrilliantBuilds General Contractors. My renovation project involved 1,800 sq ft of floor tiling, two bathrooms, a kitchen, fireplace, and utility room. I reached out to several other contractors, but none could match the affordability of BrilliantBuilds for my renovation project. Devin and Ryan came to survey my house and then provided a detailed proposal, breaking down their labor costs and the price of the materials I had already picked out, using their contractor pricing. Not a single other contractor was willing to give such a detailed proposal, but when working within a budget, precise figures are crucial. Living in my home during the renovation was made manageable by splitting the project into two phases, ensuring I had access to one bathroom at all times. Their work, in short, is top-notch, and I'm thoroughly pleased with the final result. Their attention to detail, particularly in the tiling work, is impressive. BrilliantBuilds also went above and beyond to keep my house tidy throughout the renovation. For instance, after removing a drywall, they meticulously vacuumed the carpet at the end of the day, despite the carpet being scheduled for removal the following morning. I plan on using their services again for my future home improvement projects.

i can't say enough good things about the crew who helped with my home remodeling project. my house is pretty old, and the front door stopped working, making it impossible to open. it was a serious safety concern for my family since there was no other safe way out. after trying a bunch of different repair people with no luck, i finally called a home remodeling team. ryan and another worker came out fast and arrived right when they said they would. the price was fair, and they fixed the door in no time. now i feel a lot safer knowing my family can get out quickly if we ever need to.

Last summer, we arranged an appointment with BrilliantBuilds General Contractors and after meeting Ryan, we were confident that he was the right person to oversee our project. We were waiting for a loan approval for some months, during which, Ryan maintained communication, showing his dedication to helping us achieve our dream kitchen that we had outlined in the plans. Once we secured the loan, we contacted him again and signed a contract at our place in Manhattan Beach a few days later. The project was initiated promptly and Ryan was there to address every concern and alleviate every worry we had. While home remodeling can be stressful, his enthusiasm and dedication turned it into a fun process. He kept us informed at every stage of the project, even sharing pictures of the progress. It was truly a pleasure working with them, and upon completion, they surprised us with a delightful gift of wine and chocolates! That was a first! Their marketing manager reached out to us to arrange a photo shoot of our newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. We were thrilled to receive all the stunning photos via email, which we could share with our friends. All in all, whether it was the project manager, Ryan, or the team at the office, BrilliantBuilds General Contractors was fantastic to work with. We are thrilled that we finally completed this remodeling project! Cheers!

I needed a very large 8-inch O ring for a sliding door mechanism during my home remodeling project in Manhattan Beach. At first, I tried a few big hardware stores, but none had the size I needed. I was worried it would be impossible to find something local and affordable for my renovation. Luckily, a helpful sales associate recommended I check with BrilliantBuilds General Contractors. Right when I showed Maxwell the old O ring, he knew exactly what I was looking for and made sure I got the perfect fit. The price was so reasonable that I bought an extra one just in case I need it for another door. The whole team was professional, friendly, and made the process easy. If you need any specialty parts or supplies for your home remodeling, I highly recommend going with this local company.

BrilliantBuilds General Contractors are simply outstanding! We purchased a rather dated apartment that required substantial improvements. BrilliantBuilds took care of the entire project, making the process a breeze. They removed all the outdated flooring and installed gorgeous new hardwood floors, added a fresh coat of paint on several walls, and completely revamped our kitchen from ceiling to floor. The transformation was truly incredible! Ryan, one of their skilled team members, guided us throughout the project, assisting us in selecting materials and advising us on how to allocate our budget wisely. His expertise was invaluable, and he was always ready to answer any queries. The final result was absolutely fantastic! We're now looking forward to renovating our bathrooms, and there's no doubt we'll engage their services again. They come highly recommended!

brent was honestly one of the best things that has happened to me when it comes to home remodeling. i'm really grateful i found someone so genuine, hard working, and straightforward. he really knows his stuff and made the whole process easy. you definitely won't regret hiring him for your project. you'll get great quality work at a fair price. i reached out to six other companies in manhattan beach for a complete bathroom remodel, and even before i met with the last few, i already knew this was the team for me. brent pays attention to every detail and really listens to what you want. i'm usually tough to impress, but i have no complaints at all about the finished job. he actually exceeded my expectations and delivered more than promised.

we hired a home remodeling team in manhattan beach that came highly recommended by a trusted neighbor. their crew lead, maxwell, has been working with the company for many years. every team member showed great care and attention to detail during our project. they kept the work area neat and clean every day. the estimate we received was very reasonable and included replacing t1-11 siding and some fascia. both the repairs and the painting were done with excellent quality. the only change in price was because we chose a higher grade and brand of paint, but even that extra cost was less than we expected. i suggest getting a few quotes, but definitely include this team in your search for home remodeling services.

we hired this company to help us with our home remodeling project, specifically building an rv garage. the initial construction was excellent, with careful attention to detail and very professional finish work. at the time, we couldn’t add a garage door due to budget, but recently we were able to have them come back and upgrade the garage for a new rollup door. the whole process was handled smoothly, and the quality of their work is impressive. they also built a utility garage for us, which turned out just as beautifully. when we needed a couple of small adjustments after everything was installed, brent from the team responded quickly and made sure everything was perfect. it’s clear this company truly cares about their customers and stands by their workmanship. in my experience, it’s hard to find contractors who are this reliable and responsive. i highly recommend them for any home remodeling or garage projects.

My bathroom remodel in Manhattan Beach started with the idea of a modern farmhouse vanity. Ryan helped bring my vision to life, and the finished bathroom turned out better than I had imagined. Brent and Devin worked hard installing the subway tile in the shower, carefully handling the challenge of uneven walls. The shower floor tile was also very detailed. The plumber offered great suggestions for the shower, like the center drain and the placement of the shower head and controls. The new flooring fit perfectly with the style I wanted. They also paid attention to the little things, such as painting the doors, putting on new door knobs and hinges, and painting the vent registers. Every day the house was left spotless, and even my furniture was dusted. I highly recommend BrilliantBuilds General Contractors for any home remodeling projects you have.

I had a great experience working with this remodeling team. I met Brent and his wife at a local home show and asked a few questions about their whole house fan installation services. Brent was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest about what to expect. He gave me a clear price from the start and quickly sent over a quote. Setting up the installation was simple. The crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept everything clean. Their foreman, Maxwell, walked us through each step of the process, gave a thorough demonstration of the new fan once it was installed, and even took extra time to answer questions about our current HVAC setup. It’s a relief to have a home improvement project finished on schedule by such a skilled and reliable team. I’m extremely happy with the results.

I hired BrilliantBuilds General Contractors for several home remodeling projects, including replacing our kitchen countertops and sink, installing new rooftop gutters, fixing our sliding backdoor, and replacing defective windows. Ryan helped us choose materials for the kitchen remodel, set a clear budget, and made sure everything stayed on schedule without any delays. Brent handled the window replacements and sliding door repairs quickly and at a fair price, without needing to replace the entire door just to fix the locks. The window installation was smooth and the quality was excellent. The gutter removal and installation was finished in just two days and stayed within budget. Ryan and Brent were always available to answer questions and gave us detailed estimates while making sure the work was high quality. I would gladly use them again for any remodeling project, big or small.

Outstanding ADU Remodeling Experience in Manhattan Beach! i wanted to take a moment to share how happy i am with the amazing work completed on my accessory dwelling unit (ADU) by BrilliantBuilds General Contractors. from the very beginning to the final walkthrough, the entire remodeling process was smooth and enjoyable, and i couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out. ryan and the crew showed real professionalism and a strong commitment to high-quality work. their deep knowledge of local building codes and permit requirements in manhattan beach really helped make the whole process easy and stress-free for me. they handled all the complicated paperwork and made sure every step followed the right guidelines. communication was great throughout the project. ryan always kept me updated, whether it was about layout changes, the timeline, or answering my questions. their openness and quick responses made the remodeling experience much more comfortable and gave me confidence every step of the way. the craftsmanship is impressive—every detail from the materials to the finishes looks fantastic. my new ADU is beautiful, practical, and feels just right for the california lifestyle. i especially appreciate how they managed to finish the project on schedule without ever cutting corners on quality. overall, working with this team on my home remodel was a wonderful experience. i highly recommend them to anyone in manhattan beach looking for skilled and reliable general contractors for their ADU or any other home renovation project. i’m excited for any future projects together!

Over the years, I have hired this team for several home remodeling projects, both in my own houses and on residential investment properties. As someone with a background in real estate and development, I am very selective about the contractors I work with. This company has always impressed me with their trustworthy and attentive crew, who finish projects on schedule and deliver excellent craftsmanship. Their high standards also show in the subcontractors they bring on board. If any issues come up, Maxwell makes sure they are handled quickly and professionally, always making things right. Mistakes can happen in construction, but the way they fix any problems shows their true professionalism. I am very happy with their work and plan to use their services for future remodeling projects!

While they were giving me an estimate for more updates around my house, i learned that BrilliantBuilds General Contractors had actually remodeled the kitchen before we bought the place. The previous owners went with a full kitchen renovation, but didn’t really touch other rooms. honestly, the kitchen remodel was one of the big reasons we decided to buy this home. The work was done really well and matches our style—bright, open, and modern. There’s not much we’d want to change, even after living here for a while. Everything was installed with solid craftsmanship and we haven’t had any problems with any part of the kitchen. i would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to remodel their home.

i can't say enough good things about brilliantbuilds general contractors. when my shower valve broke, water flooded my apartment and even leaked into the two units below. after cleaning up, i had a few inspectors come by, but brent and his crew stood out as the most detailed and were the only ones who handled both the water removal and all the remodeling work to restore everything perfectly. having one team manage both the water mitigation and the repairs made the whole process so much less stressful. brent explained everything clearly, and what he promised always happened. he also took care of all the paperwork and talked directly with my insurance to make sure every repair was covered. throughout the project, he was always flexible, reasonable, and easy to work with. i really appreciated how smoothly everything went, from the first call to the final walkthrough.

I've had two major kitchen remodels done over the years, and both times I was really pleased with the results. I decided to use the same remodeling team again because my first experience was so positive. Some things I really appreciated: 1) They always kept my budget in mind and suggested smart, cost-effective options to help me get the look I wanted without overspending. 2) The crew is dependable—when they say they'll show up, they do. 3) With lots of experience, they know how to handle any surprises that come up, making the whole renovation process run smoothly. For anyone planning a home remodel, a couple of tips helped my projects go well. First, the contractor is more responsive to phone calls than emails, so it's easier to talk things through by calling directly. Second, remodeling can have some unexpected twists, so keeping good communication and being flexible really makes a difference. I felt confident trusting the team to finish my kitchen just the way I wanted, and I could see they genuinely cared about doing quality work. I highly recommend them for any home remodeling needs.
