We are NOT experienced garden folks so we were in need of expert advice. Karen at Sloat came through and then some! Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them especially to those of us that aren't sure of what we are doing.

Staff was very nice and helpful. They have a HUGE selection of plants, seeds, pots, and all sorts of other tools for any of your gardening needs. Absolutely coming back for all of my gardening needs in the future!

4 stars for variety (although I could not find peach trees) and 0 stars for prices, I was literally shocked how overpriced everything is. Navlets, the previous owner, had everything at way more competitive price. So on average, zero plus four makes it 2, but I give them 3 just in case...

I was shopping the big box hardware stores thinking I could find stock of the item I needed.
I called ahead to Sloat Garden Center and they answered to phone right away, confirmed that they had my item in stock and held it for me.
When I arrived I found this beautiful store with knowledable and helpful personel.

I found several items displayed that I needed.They helped me at the register quickly.
I can't wait to go back and buy plants and garden accessories.

The customer service here when I had an issue with a tree I purchased was superb, they took care of me completely and were complete professionals about it.

Rare in this day and age. Top drawer!

They have added labels for Ca Native plants to help add some eco-boosting power to your garden.

Absolutely incredible selection and fantastic staff who actually like their jobs, at least as far as I can tell. I would never go to a home depot style shop again, this is where you go if you really LOVE your plants. Sublime!

Liked this place. Good selection and if you have a question you get an answer instead of an eyes glazed over "I don't know" Home Depot response. Pot prices, that is, the pots you grow plants in, were not up to extortion levels so that was nice as well. Got a 5 dollar off coupon for signing up for a loyalty card.

Each Sloat Garden Center I've been to, and I've been to a number of them, has very knowledgeable staff members, healthy live, and effective dry goods.

Lots of beautiful growth here. I was there for succulents, they had a very nice variety. I purchased a small and medium plant but I was searching for a long lengthed necklace of pearl. They had the plant but the necklaces were all cut at a point and that disappointed me. I won't be able to use that short length for my project so I sadly have to keep searching. Some plants were burnt from the sun, some plants were over priced mainly because of the pot it was put into but I was overall happy and will be back again for future projects.

They also have a membership program for discounts.

A welcoming space for a variety of your gardening needs. Plenty of parking, and a wide selection horticultural accessories, from tools and pots to flowers, trees, and landscape shrubbery. A nice underutilized business.

Absolutely beautiful garden center. Staff was super kind and informative. They had an amazing variety of plants ( check out the firecracker Fuschia!). They offered a great variety of plants food and soil along with garden decor. Well worth the stop!!

Eric has been fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to patiently answer our questions and concerns. Since we started our garden care with Eric, our plants and fruit trees have started growing really well. Highly recommended.

Eric came out to my home to diagnose the health of two large redwood trees. He was kind and extremely knowledgeable, and he took his time explaining in detail about the species of the trees, their health, why they were stressed, and what treatments were needed. He also took time to answer my questions about some fruit trees on my property. He felt trustworthy and I was happy to give him my business. Highly recommend.

Hannah came out to assess my trees, and shortly after, a crew arrived to complete the trimming. I’ve also decided to move forward with SavATree for ongoing plant health care. My experience with SavATree was 5 star from the moment I called to schedule a free estimate. I know nothing about trees but noticed that I had this clear, sticky substance on my front yard tree leaves that I have NEVER seen in the 18 years that we've lived there. The staff member who took the call was very calm, comforting, patient, and reassuring. My nerves were all over the place!! I explained to her that I "googled" what appeared to be my problem and that I thought I had an "Aphid" infestation. The picture of an aphid, (thank God I had not seen any on my tree) totally freaked me out!! She took the time to listen to my panic over "bug infestation" and assured me that the person assigned to my appointment (Rebekah) was very knowledgeable and would be able to diagnose the problem. Not only was she able to immediately confirm my suspicion re: the Aphids but she complimented me for my use of Google to diagnose the trees which as a "seasoned adult" made me feel good. Aside from being smart and knowledgeable, she was kind, caring, and thorough. She also looked at my back yard to ensure there were no other sick trees. Treatment was performed in a timely manner and I am pleased to say that my tree leaves are no longer shiny, moist and sticky. I think were at around 2-3 weeks and my leaves look healthy again. I could not be any more pleased with the service I receive from SaveATree.

All aspects of this company are stellar! I have worked directly with Eric who is a great communicator and is always there to answer my emails with tree questions! When the techs come to put vitamins around my trees, they are so kind and prompt and considerate. And the trees LOVE THE TREATMENTS and respond so well and so quickly!

Eric Jacobo and his crew did an outstanding job on our tree trimming/removal project. They were on time, worked quickly, thoroughly and carefully. Eric was very knowledgeable, responsive, and gave excellent advice and recommendations. I can confidently recommend them and SavATree.

The Arborist is very knowledgeable and helpful. The technician who did the work was also very knowledgeable and helpful. He said I should dig out my orange tree and put rocks with potting soil in the bottom of the hole and put the tree on top. This is to improve drainage. My grandson and I did it. Hope it works.
