HVAC reviews in Modesto, California

Had a new hvac system put in. Price was about the same as other estimates but the communication is horrible once the unit is installed and paid for. It took weeks in order for me to receive a receipt or rebate paper with all kinds of excuses. Before payment communication was great. I didn’t have a google nest put in as I had one and Ryan was supposed to refund me the difference. Check was always in the mail. Was supposed to drop it by my house, that didn’t happen. So I’m out a Google nest which was paid for it the refund, I can imagine the response if the 10 yr warranty doesn’t hold up. My next review will be the BBB. Well after the first rain the whole system caved in my ceiling as it was not installed correctly. I reached out with calls, texts and emails to Ryan Murphy of Irish heat and air and he has not responded to one, beware this company has no accountability or integrity I am now moving forward with other avenues as well as court. Still have not heard the licensing board said his license expired in October so this company if still in business is working under someone else license according to the board. I have another meeting with them this week and then court, beware this guy is not honest and does not stand behind his work, talked to the Contractor Board and they recommended to file a complaint with the bond company. Then with the Attorney General, and to file suit this company and Ryan is not answering their calls either

Great service, great work, and great price, what else could you ask for. Very Satisfied.
-
Great place, they installed a new mini split ac, showed up on time and did all the work in 1 day as promised, it's working great!
-
Great service! Fast response, showed up on time and fixed my furnace on the same day for a fair price!
-
Very responsive, we have used them a couple times and have them now doing our maintenance twice a year. Both the office and Reuben the tech we use -Are courteous and professional. They both explain the processes charges in detail.
-
Great company to work with. Price was excellent when compared to competition. More importantly, the quality of work, support, communication, and overall professionalism was beyond expectation. We will always recommend Irish Heating and Air.

Irish Heating and Air are great. The tech was courteous and professional. They initially came out cause our AC was no long blowing cold air. They found the freon was low and performed a service check and freon refill. Later when home the AC still wasn’t blowing cool air and to make matters worse it wasn’t blowing at all. I called and without hesitation Irish Heating and Air scheduled a follow up appointment the next day with the same tech. After performing a through-all check on the fan motors, t-stats, dampers, and anything else that could be thought of the problem was resolved and they didn’t even charge for the revisit! The AC is now working flawlessly and thank you to Irish Heating and Air for being on time and professional in solving our AC problem. I highly recommend Irish Heating and Air for the Mountain House and surrounding area.
Thank you

As the Director of a school campus, I have called on Irish Heating and Air for all our HVAC needs. They have always been efficient and friendly while providing excellent service. I would highly recommend them.

Irish Heating was recommended to me from my friend who is an electrician! I was extremely happy with everything from the bid to the install. They were very professional - worked non stop from the moment they arrived to the time they left each day. They installed mini-splits in my ceiling in three rooms - we have an OLD house and the attic space is barely a crawl space, and yet they did not have any complications they did not anticipate! I could not recommend them more! BTW - I did collect two other bids (just to compare) and Irish was still the best from the get go!

It was a great pleasure working with Irish Heating and Air to have my HVAC system replaced. I called many big and small companies and Irish heating and air beat all their prices and service. Definitely recommend them. Ryyan owner/technician is very good. He loves to teach about the whole HVAC system and is very knowledgeable in his area of HVAC systems. He also offers multiple choices in various configurations. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction (and trust me, I ask a lot of questions). They have a great team of technicians. Jesus and Cesar delivered excellent service and skills. They are very professional and talented. They treated my home with respect and had cloths placed where ever they were going to be. All the technicians are knowledgeable as well and explain anything or answered my questions. They do not hesitate to go above and beyond. Although, they took longer than I expected, I was very happy with the service and level of knowledge and skills they had to offer. My system is brand new, and has not had any warranty call yet (hope to never needing it anyway), but I hope they will continue to deliver great service as they did with the new install. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend to my family and friends.

This company was hired through my apartment complex to fix my AC. It took them a week to get it done, arrived after their appointment window had already closed, and after they installed the new part, the AC STILL didn't work. I had to wait 2 more days (the next business day) for a completely different repair service to come out and fix their mistake.
I don't know the name of the technicians, but they left an exposed wire that was touching some metal plate and caused a short. They also left the top cover off. The techs didn't come inside to check if the AC was working, they just said it was fixed and left. The techs from another company came the following Monday, taped up the exposed wire, reapplied the cover, reset the breaker, and THEN my AC worked.
I do not recommend. -
When I was doing my initial research on Irish Heating and Air, I was concerned because they didn't have a lot of recent reviews. Although the quote process was extremely smooth, I decided to give them a shot. My overall experience with them has been excellent, and I have found their pricing to be very reasonable. It was a pleasure working with Irish Heating and Air on the installation of our entire HVAC system in our 20+ year old house in Elk Grove. Without a doubt, we recommend them. Jesus, the lead installer/tech, deserves a special mention.

In 2021, Irish installed a Mitsubishi heating system for our family at a cost of approximately $40,000. Mitsubishi and Irish each included a 12 year warranty for the system. In the immediate following years there were malfunctions. These were only fixed after repeated service requests that were disregarded by Irish, and/or service promises that they failed to follow through with. After patient and persistent communicating, they finally fixed those problems.
The reason for this current review is that the heating system shut down completely in October 2024. Since then, the only heat source for the family, which includes 2 small children, is space heaters. This is unsafe. In the past 3 months Irish has proved unresponsive to more than 20 requests for service to the failed system They have been unable to diagnose the problem, and have failed to follow through with promises to make repairs. They are not honoring their warranty. The house remains cold.
To pay $40,000 for a system this faulty, and then be so disrespected by the company who installed it, is very surprising. Patient and persistent communications have so far been ignored or deflected. So I am posting reviews, and filing with the Better Business Bureau. If Irish makes things right, and repairs or replaces the system under their warranty, I will amend this review. But obviously I do not recommend them to any potential new customers at this time.
Addendum: In response to the business owner's response, below, I am not an Hvac company. I am a grandmother who stays part time in the customer's home, who are my daughter, her husband, and my grandchildren. The customer is filing a complaint with the BBB. I want to warn other customers and get resolution from Irish re: their responsibilities to honor warranties. We live in Berkeley. Unless there a lot of other customers experiencing the runaround, and he can't keep them straight, I suspect the owner knows exactly which project I am writing about. -
Irish Heating and Air Conditioning installed our heating and A/C system less than a year ago, and it has already failed during the winter season. The system has a 10 year warranty. My family and I have repeatedly tried to contact the company to schedule an appointment, calling multiple phone numbers, sending emails, and reaching out through direct messages, all without any response. We have left several voicemails and have received no follow-up or update. This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences we have ever had. How are we as customers suppose to contact the company or receive support when an issue arises? As customers, we feel misled and scammed due to the lack of support and accountability after installation. We would not recommend them to any new customers.

such a amazing work i’m so satisfied

I wouldn’t recommend this company based on integrity and how their employees conduct themselves in public. I recently witnessed one of their employees at a grocery store behaving in a way that was impatient, inconsiderate, and dismissive toward multiple people. Acting as if he was the only one there with a “holier-than-thou” attitude.
That behavior carried throughout the store, from blocking aisles without acknowledging others to showing little to no consideration for anyone around him. No “excuse me,” no “I’m sorry.” He also failed to recognize that the woman ahead of him was in a regular checkout, not express, and instead chose to be impatient and make unnecessary comments. Actions like that don’t just reflect on the individual, they reflect on the company he represents. It was especially disappointing to see that same ignorance and lack of awareness continue outside, with the company’s name clearly displayed on his vehicle.
What made it more concerning was that he was with his young daughter at the time. If that’s the example being set in everyday situations, it raises serious concerns about how clients may be treated behind closed doors. Professionalism and respect shouldn’t only apply when it’s convenient or visible. They should be consistent, especially in front of your children. Do better.
Situations like this reflect poorly on a business, because how employees carry themselves in public matters just as much as how they perform on the job. -
The where here the same day and where good the fix the air problem
-
highly recommend! they work so hard and do the job so well! there’s anything and everything they can do! even the hardest job they will get done!

Did repairs without authorization, and we’re not necessary and done incorrectly, then charged for the unauthorized and needless fix (not fixed) :( I would never use or recommend them. :( 👎🏻👎🏻
