McNamee Construction worked with us to build Revivial Ice Cream in downtown Monterey. As it was our first business and we were new to this type of development they were very friendly and supportive throughout the entire process. We had a strict budget and they were very accommodating, even helping us with ways to cut expenses.
Even two years later the McNamee team stops in for ice cream and is always asking how things are working. Great team and Noel is an awesome leader.

This is a long review, but the contractor you choose for a residential construction project is a key element in its success and your happiness. We have used McNamee construction in 3 projects, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

After extensive contractor review and reference checks, we chose Noel McNamee for the first project of what would become an extensive remodel of our mid-70's home. We were so pleased with that outcome--the project was completed with great quality, in time and under budget--that since that time and Noel and his company has been our "go to" construction partner for all three phases of our extensive remodel.

Noel maintains a high standard of quality, and his creative approach met the many challenges of our 1970's multi-angled redwood home. His experience-driven recommendations helped save both time and money, and protected us from costly mistakes that sounded fine on paper. In addition to Noel's roll-up-his-sleeves style, Noel's network of subs are extremely high quality, and the team were sensitive to the fact that we continued to live in the property while the phased remodel was completed. Noel worked closely with our architectural designer, consulted with us as the project took shape, and readily accommodated modifications we requested. Since we lived in the home will work continued, they carefully screened off the areas underway to contain dust and construction.

We chose to do the project in phases over several years. 1) First, our complete kitchen remodel and large ocean deck. 2) Several years later, we chose McNamee Co again to handle the remodel (down to the studs and back again) of our top floor master-suite, including reconfiguration/ re-engineering to incorporate huge windows, exotic wood floors, moving of walls, relocation of master bath, master closet, and extensive custom cabinetry. 3) Based confidence and trust built on our experience together, we engaged Noel again for the remodel of another level of our home: removing and re-configuring walls, raising/concealing support beams, entire reconfiguration of bath, laundry, water and heating systems, expanding stairways, full re-flooring, and replacement/ enlargement of windows.

The results in every case have been of the highest quality, challenges were met with patience and creativity, the team accommodated our decision processes, and the workmanship continues to receive compliments from friends. With Noel our challenging projects saw successful results, and McNamee's work has stood the test of time.

He was referred to me by a contractor that uses him exclusively for remodels and new builds throughout Pebble Beach & Carmel. He's straightforward and honest, if a furnace is operating correctly then that is his report, no nickle and diming to create more work for himself.

I am a local general contractor and have been using Rainman as a subcontractor for the last 10 years. Gary (owner) is very responsive and is very quick to provide estimates and complete work as requested. The quality of their work is above average and the prices are very fair. I had Rainman do my entire house with new gutters. He ended up subbing out the job to someone else and every single one of the gutters leak and weren’t installed properly. I called Rainman as these gutters were just installed two months ago, he never returns any calls. Also, fyi, hisCalifornia contractors license has been revoked so he has no license even though he will tell you he does. Beware!

Rainman installed new gutters on my home during the summer. Once the rain season started I noticed that a 20 foot gutter section was not draining because it was tilted away from the down spout. There was 2-3 inches of standing water. Five times I tried calling Rainman to correct this problem but was only able to leave messages; my calls were not returned. Finally I received a call from the owner and a crew was dispatched to correct the problem; no explanation why my calls had been ignored for so long. The crew informed me that the roof facia was tilted away from the downspout which would explain in part the drainage problem. However, this was never mentioned to me during the installation and the gutter were installed with this known problem.
Setting a slope on a gutter so the water reaches the downspout is basic stuff. This was an obvious workmanship issue and was not fixed even though the dispatched crew offered that I purchase a downspout opening which they would install later on, something that should have been done during the original installation given the tilted roof facia.
Problems are sometimes discovered during many installations, this being no exception. However, to ignore the problem during installation, to offer no apology, to not answer calls, or to not offer a refund for the cost of the defective installation is unacceptable.

After several "No Shows" from other gutter companies, Gary @ Rainman Heating & Sheet Metal was recommended to me. Gary returned my call the same day, got me on the schedule (and was accommodating to my busy schedule) and his crew was prompt & professional. He even came and checked on the job once it was completed....... Now that's customer service.....Thanks Gary!

I needed a custom made sheet metal top for a work bench in my garage. I called Rainman Heating and Sheet Metal and spoke to the owner Gary. He was very friendly and within a few days was able to fabricate just what I needed at a very reasonable price. Gary even went the extra mile and personally delivered it to my house since it wouldn't fit in my car. I couldn't be happier with my experience!

I needed a chimney cap and Gary was top notch to work with. He called me back the same day and came out to measure the next. His estimate was reasonable and he promised it would take a week to complete. With rain in the forecast, I was a bit worried, but he exceeded my expectations when his brother Vince came out and installed the cap 2 days later. Thanks, guys! Highly recommend!
