Reviews of local pros in Mountain View, California

RSC Chimney Cleaning installed a new chimney liner for us in Mountain View. The estimate they gave was fair and straightforward, and they actually finished the job for a little less than expected. Chimney cleaning and repairs can be messy, but when I got home, the area was spotless—couldn’t even tell anyone had been working. Now our fireplace is safe to use and works perfectly. Really fantastic service!

Elias came out to check our chimney because we were thinking about switching from oil to gas heating. We thought the chimney might need a good sweep, but Elias let us know it was already clean and didn't need it yet. He also talked us through the possibility of adding a metal liner if we decide to go with the gas conversion. After explaining our different options, Elias told us there was no charge for the inspection since we're local. We truly appreciate the honest advice and friendly service. We'll definitely recommend RSC Chimney Cleaning to anyone looking for chimney sweep services or advice!

I highly recommend RSC Chimney Cleaning! i had an old brick fireplace with a broken insert that really needed some work. Raymond came out for a consultation and showed me different options for tiles, mantels, and other materials until i was happy with the look. After that, my appointment for the remodel was set up quickly. The crew was professional, polite, on time, and kept everything neat and clean. they made sure to cover my furniture and protect the floors, and at the end of each day, all their tools and materials were cleaned up and put away. The demolition and remodel only took a few days, just like they said it would. now my fireplace looks amazing and completely updated! i'm so happy with how everything turned out.

It's great to come across a chimney sweep company that truly values professionalism and kindness, even before you become a customer. Raymond called ahead to let me know he was on his way and arrived right on schedule. He performed a detailed inspection of my chimney and provided an honest, fair estimate for the sweeping service. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable chimney care.

the crew at RSC Chimney Cleaning did a really great job cleaning our chimney and making sure everything was safe for use. elias arrived when he said he would, worked efficiently, and left the place tidy after sweeping and inspecting the chimney. i was impressed with how thorough the inspection was and how clearly the process was explained to us. i'd definitely suggest them to anyone needing chimney inspections, repairs, or regular maintenance.

We heard about this chimney sweep company in Mountain View from our neighbor, who is very particular about getting good quality work done and making sure everything is finished on schedule. Our neighbor had a great experience with them and suggested we try them out, especially since we needed help with stainless steel chimney lining, which not every company offers. From the start, the team was professional and clearly explained everything they would do. Raymond, the technician who helped us, was friendly and knowledgeable. After the job was finished, they gave us a detailed level 2 inspection report, so we could see exactly what work had been completed, matching up with the original estimate. It’s reassuring to know that their staff have the right certifications and lots of experience, especially since it can be hard to find trustworthy chimney repair people. In Mountain View, where safety and good service matter, this company really stands out for their honest pricing and top-quality work. I highly recommend them if you need any chimney sweep or repair services done.

We can finally use our fireplace again and feel safe. We highly recommend their chimney sweep services for anyone wanting honest, skilled work!

this is hands down the best chimney sweep service we’ve had! elias came out to our home for a full chimney inspection, cleaning, and to give us some options for our fireplaces. he was super friendly, not pushy at all, and really listened to what we wanted. whenever we had questions, elias gave helpful advice without trying to sell us on things we didn’t need. raymond was there helping with the work, and he was very polite and respectful while handling a lot of the cleaning and repair tasks. when the team came back to do the actual job, everyone was so friendly and professional. anytime we were curious about what they were doing, they took the time to explain each step of the process. we had some chimney masonry repairs done and got two new fireplace inserts installed. elias made sure everything was running smoothly and the crew was on top of it. the brick work was started by two other team members, and they made great progress while being super nice the whole time. raymond wrapped up the project, handled the sealing, and made sure everything was perfect. he’s just a genuinely good person and easy to talk to. overall, you can really tell that everyone here enjoys what they do and takes pride in their work. even though the price was a little higher than some others, the quality of the work was totally worth it. we’ll absolutely be using this chimney sweep company again and recommending them to friends and neighbors.

Raymond, Elias, and the rest of the team were extremely professional, responsive, and hardworking throughout the whole chimney sweep and repair process. The price for their chimney services was very fair and competitive for Mountain View. They went the extra mile, even working longer than planned, and did a very detailed and high-quality job. My old fireplace chimney was brought back to life with a new insulated stainless steel liner after they carefully removed the old clay tiles. The smoke chamber was expertly hand-parged with refractory cement, and they replaced the old throat damper. The firebox got a fresh lining of new fire bricks and mortar, fixing up the loose and worn-out bricks. They were also able to reuse the existing top damper, which was a bonus. Raymond and Elias took great care to protect my home. They laid down drop cloths and cardboard from the entryway to the fireplace to keep the hardwood floors and stone surfaces safe. Inside the living room, they set up plastic tarps to keep dust and debris contained, making sure the brick and woodwork around the fireplace stayed clean. When the job was finished, the area was spotless—no dust, no debris left behind indoors or out front. Overall, I was very impressed with their attention to detail, cleanliness, and dedication to high-quality chimney work. I highly recommend them to anyone in Mountain View looking for reliable chimney sweep and repair services!

Very pleasant, excellent services.
