Exceptional work done by Haven Hub. They are my go to for all things landscaping and I could not be more happy with how my project turned out. Braeden the project manager was great to work with, he made sure everything turned out perfect.

Unpaid Subcontractor, Homeowners Beware!!!

I am leaving this review as a subcontractor who completed work for this general contracting company several weeks ago. The homeowner has already paid them in full, yet we have not been paid for our portion of the work.

Despite multiple promises that payment was on the way, they have repeatedly kicked the can down the road and avoided returning phone calls or messages. I have reached out to several people within the company — all the way up the ladder — and no one will respond or take responsibility.

We have now been forced to begin the lien process on the homeowner’s property since the contractor received payment but failed to pay for the labor performed.

Homeowners should be extremely cautious when hiring this company. They collect full payment from customers yet fail to pay the subcontractors who perform the work — leaving the homeowner exposed to mechanic’s liens even after paying in full.

I am very happy with the work Haven Hub did for our landscaping project. They were so open to feedback and collaborated to get a solution that worked for us, and were incredibly quick with the job. Couldn't be happier and look forward to working with them again.

We hired HavenHub after we have finished our initial phase which we don’t like. They quickly gave us a plan, and executed perfectly by Sydney, who is professional and knowledgeable, and responsible. We are now happy with our backyard and front yard. Will recommend this company!

Proceed With Caution — Our 5-Month Experience With Havenhub

Now that our backyard project is finally finished, I can give a complete and accurate review of our experience with Havenhub. Unfortunately, it was consistently poor from start to finish, marked by avoidable mistakes, slow progress, and repeated attempts to shift additional costs onto us.

The sales process was smooth, but that ended as soon as work began. We handled our own demolition and excavation exactly as directed by Havenhub’s project manager. Once they mobilized, they immediately claimed the excavation required a larger retaining wall and concrete pad, and sent us a surprise 28% change order with no prior discussion. When we pushed back, we were told, “changes happen in construction.” Only after escalating did they retract the change order—and immediately replace the original PM.

Problems continued. Items we had already agreed on were re-labeled as “typos,” including the rebar reinforcement we had specifically requested. They pushed for cheaper alternatives without offering any cost relief, and any proposal we made to help reduce costs was dismissed. Pricing often felt inflated or unclear.

They then quoted an unreasonable amount to add a single course to our retaining wall, insisting it was “pass-through” pricing despite the numbers not aligning with actual labor or materials. It rarely felt like we were being treated transparently or fairly.

Work progressed extremely slowly. Most days, only one person was onsite, and Havenhub failed to follow a single schedule they provided. Communication was poor—basic questions regularly went unanswered for days. Early on, their crew used the excavator we had rented without permission, damaging our lawn and breaking multiple sprinklers.

When the concrete was finally poured, the layout itself was good, but the crew never returned to water it and never told us we needed to. The color we paid for faded within days due to improper curing, and despite initial promises, Havenhub never stained the concrete. We’ve been forced to live with the inconsistent color permanently.

The mow strips were another example of poor work. The first set was poured so badly that they tore them out—then buried the concrete debris behind our retaining wall instead of hauling it away. They later had to return, dig out the buried concrete, and finally remove it properly. On another mow strip, one of their workers broke a sprinkler line and never informed us, causing a small flood and killing part of the lawn. Havenhub eventually replaced the sod and repaired the irrigation, but only after weeks of delays and repeated follow-ups.

Even after “completion,” issues continued. A stick from a removed tree ended up embedded in the concrete, requiring a repair. It took over a month just to get someone back out to look at it. When they finally did, they tried to walk back a previously agreed-upon discount that we had negotiated because of the extended delays and ongoing problems. Only when I referenced their own written email did they honor what they had already agreed to.

What should have been a straightforward project dragged out for five months. While the onsite crew was generally respectful, Havenhub’s project management, communication, and accountability were consistently lacking.

We are relieved the project is over, but we would not hire Havenhub again. There are many contractors who communicate clearly, price fairly, and stand behind their work. Based on our experience, Havenhub was not one of them.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. This company is completely unreliable. They take your deposit, disappear, and then make you chase them for updates. What they don’t tell you during their sales pitch of “we’re a little more expensive because our work speaks for itself” is that they’re just a middleman — they subcontract everything out and can’t actually guarantee their work or their schedule.

We paid a cash deposit of nearly $17,000, and no one showed up. No calls, no schedule, nothing. After weeks of complaints, they promised to “make it right” and finally scheduled us, over a month later — and no-showed on that appointment as well.

Eventually, they did return our deposit — but even that took longer than they told us it would. They constantly make excuses about how it’s “hard to stick to a schedule,” but that’s not our problem — it’s theirs. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Please do not make the same mistake that I did by choosing this company for anything. They will lie to you to get your money and then nothing will happen. After 8 weeks and literally nothing done I have finally been able to get my money back. The first meeting you will probably feel great about what you are seeing but they really have no idea what they are doing. Haven Hub isn’t the company doing the work which we were not told about until about 4 weeks in. It was implied that they were the company doing the work in the first meeting. After voicing multiple frustrations and asking for our money back we were apologized to multiple times so we gave them another shot which was a very big mistake on my part. Once a GC (who didn’t know what was going on) finally did show up to talk about the project, he basically said the designer was an idiot and they couldn’t do multiple things we were suggested be done by the salesman. This was followed by another 3 weeks of being lied to multiple times again and missed deadlines to even start the project and another week to get our money back. All in all one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any company when trying to get a service even started let alone finished. Again please DO NOT make the mistake I did by letting Haven Hub anywhere near your home.

The whole process from design to finish has been amazing. After 8 days of work from the team, the job was well done and excellent! All at a very reasonable price. Thank you Bradley and Cole for working with me on the budget to come out with a beautiful backyard. I will definitely recommend to others!

Above and beyond service, experience and expectation. As a husband and father of 3, I take pride in how my yard and backyard look. I smile with bliss every time I pull into the drive way. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Haven Hub! Tremendous work!!

Wow! Love Havenhub. Found this company through a friend who had services done and it looked amazing, had the same turf installed on my yard and looks great! Crew showed up on time, got the work done, and left everything clean. No complaints here.

Haven Hub came to UT a few months ago after having been in CA for over a year, and it was exciting to see them offer the same full Outdoor Living services to Utah now!! 👀🔥

Buyer Beware!
After interviewing several landscape companies, we chose Haven Hub because Branden was a fabulous salesman. He seemed to really understand our vision for our front yard landscaping. We were assigned Chris as our project manager and promised the job would be completed with 3 weeks. We paid half of the cost of the project up front. Then the problems started. Chris never showed up so I had to repeatedly call Branden for updates. Finally Chris came with workers and the project began. The workers, who were actually subcontracted out, completed the job within days. They put a thin layer of DG on the ground which ran off with the first rainfall, exposing the weed barrier in multiple places. All of the trees they planted have died in the 4 months since the project was completed. And we were told the trees and plants were guaranteed for one year—which is standard industry practice. So I called Haven Hub on October 20, 2025, and spoke with Chanel, who promised our job would be assigned to Juan, a project manager, who would be contacting us shortly. It is now 3 weeks since that initial call with Chanel, and repeated requests by me to have someone call us back. Today she called to say that the trees and plants are not covered and the DG erosion is not covered either. This bait and switch approach compels me to warn you to NOT USE HAVEN HUB!
