Very good

Professional, knowledgeable, proficient and personable. A+ for sure.

DO NOT USE. He told me he ‘went out of business’ after misdiagnosing my microwave.
-
I called a few times and scheduled two appointments that the guy never showed up to. I ended up going with a competitor to get my washer fixed.
-
Prompt and courteous with service call. Ordered part for dishwasher and 5 days later installed. Affordable rates. Pleased with price and service. Will use again in the future when needed.
-
Awesome guy! This person stands by his words and if he cannot fit the problem he will not charge you. Best thing is that there is no service call charge to look into your appliance.
-
Excellent service! Prompt, courteous, same day appointment, reasonably priced. I am keeping his card for future work and I have already recommended him to a friend with a similar project.

Very bad service, do yourself a favor and call another company! Sam came out and inspected my dishwasher and told me he had to order parts and it would be repaired in a week. He charged me $200 and after 2 weeks, I still have a broken dishwasher. Don't waste your time or money here!!

I waited for a week for an appointment, which they confirmed twice and then 1/2 hour prior to the appointment some lady named Grace called and said they were too busy to keep the appointment. I told her I needed them to keep the appointment my dryer was not working. She laughed - told me she didn't have a dryer at all that she goes to the laundromat...WT - what does that have to do with keeping a scheduled appointment. She was extremely rude, sarcastic and unprofessional. I told her I didn't intend to reschedule with them - her response was that she would gladly never reschedule with me - again WT. This company is unreliable.

Called for advice on a problem with my upright freezer. The nice lady I talked to told me to text the number I called. So I texted with pics and got a call back from Sam. Very nice! Very helpful. Very knowledgeable! If I have a major appliance issue, I'll be calling him!

we knew the problem of our washer, but decided to call a specialist Sam Kianfar, he costs $ 50 for a spare part and $ 200 for work, price of new washer 500$.when we refused and said that we would buy and do it ourselves, he took $ 89.99 for the visit. we are very upset and advise against using their services. since others companies have a free first visit for identifying a problem.

Sam first was not professional on the phone when he was connected to us through LG. Then the morning he was supposed to come he then first said he wasn’t going to be able to make it, but he didn’t tell us that until his window he said he was in was almost up. He finally did come two hours late and said it was going to be a $200 service fee plus $739 labor fee regardless of what the repair was going to be. He also said we were going to have to pay out of pocket for everything even though it was all going to be covered under warranty through LG. We explained that this was not the pricing that he said over the phone and he argued with us and was completely unprofessional and said we still had to pay him the $200 regardless today. We said we would pay him the $200 to at least diagnose the problem and leave because we can’t afford him. He was angry and took a look at the washer for 2 seconds and diagnosed it and said he’s been doing this for 30 years so we should just pay him. We sent him away and what he diagnosed as the problem was not even the problem. He was rude, unprofessional, and a complete scam of our money. I would never use them again and we reported them to LG since he’s a certified tech under them.

We are in Placerville. My washing machine would not drain and showed an error code. I tried the home repairs listed online and they did not fix the issue. I could not find a local repair person who fixes LG and would come out in less than 2 weeks. Sam came up the next day. He was more expensive than I expected, but he came quite a distance and promptly repaired my washer.

We are grateful to have used Sam’s services in the past, and the quality and professionalism is still great. We recently had to have our heating element replaced in our 20 year old oven. Sam diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and promptly repaired the issue.
We would highly recommend Sam to our family and friends! -
We called and asked for an estimate to see what was the problem with our refrigerator. A guy named Sam(the owner) came and without letting us know he ended up fixing it himself and charged us $280 for 15 minutes. We asked him we only wanted to know the problem and for an estimate and fixed it without asking and took advantage. We asked him how much the part was and he said it was $60. Very unprofessional. Didn't even give us a receipt. We told him about it and he said he would send it by email and he never sent it. Would not recommend to a friend.

I woke up two days ago with a horrific scene of water all over the kitchen floor. Upon investigation I discovered that my fridge was no longer cooling and everything had melted inside the freezer. After throwing away all of the freshly purchased food, I called a repair company who came the next day. He reluctantly cleaned the coils and said That’s was the problem and now it should be good to go but after 24 hours it was in the same condition as it was when I discovered the problem. I called that company back numerous times but they couldn’t come back out for another 3 days and they planned to charge another fee for the second trip over.
I got on LG’s website and found this company, A&K Appliance Repair, is certified by LG. I called them and they sent an angel named Sam just a few hours later. Sam was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and Efficient in his repairs. He charged me half the cost of the other company and his work is under warranty. I could not be happier with this outcome. I am so thankful I found this company to assist with this devastating issue. I highly recommend them and I hope you are as lucky as I was to get Sam when you call. -
Under warranty with LG who set us up with A&K. We had an 8-noon window. Sam Kianfar called 10 minutes before he got here @ 11. Put down his stuff to protect the wood floor in the kitchen (who the hell is silly enough to have wood floors in the kitchen). Sam knew what he was doing, working quickly and efficiently, even with me hovering over him. Took him a little over an hour to pop out the old compressor and pop in the new one, charge it and put everything back together. When you use A&K ask for Sam to do your job.

Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere! My husband was referred to A&K by LG when our ice maker in the fridge stopped working. Sam came over, confirmed it was broken, charged us a $200 deposit and said he would order the part and be back to fix the issue. He was scheduled to come back on a Thursday. After Sam did not show up for the scheduled appt my husband followed up with him regarding what time will he be over to which he replied “don’t know”. After my husband waited for him all day he never showed up. He eventually rescheduled the appt for Saturday afternoon. Friday night Sam called and said he can no longer do Saturday afternoon but can come in the morning. We said that does not work for us because we had already made other plans around his initial quote of Saturday afternoon. He then rescheduled for the following Monday at 5pm. Monday came and went and he never showed up. My husband texted him, called him to no avail and no answer. Sam is extremely unprofessional and poorly manages his time. The lack of service is baffling considering this is a referral from LG. We understand things happen in life but 3 no shows is completely unacceptable:

Sam was absolutely fantastic. Our oven stopped heating the day before Christmas Eve, LG had us call 3 other service providers before we were given his number. Knowing it was a couple days before Christmas, I knew I wouldn't have any options for quick service, however, I called Sam and told him what I was experiencing. He did the best diagnosis he could over the phone, told me he would pick the parts up and was able to be here the following morning. He showed up on time, was extremely respectful, and fixed our oven in less than an hour. I feel I may have paid a bit more than I expected, but knowing that the money was going to a small business made it worthwhile. I would highly recommend A&K to anyone who is in need of repair for a home appliance, who will go above and beyond for you.

I have been working with Sam, the owner, for years and have referred him to many family and friends for their appliance repair needs. I had always had good, respectful, and competent service from him for everything from dishwashers to ovens to refrigerators. When I called last year, I had heard he was out of business and I was not sure who to call after that. Luckily, Sam decided to re-start his business again soon after that call and he was able to come and fix my dishwasher and 2 refrigerators quickly and affordably. Sam has always been very respectful and genuinely expresses his appreciation for doing business with him. He is very competent and can explain what is wrong in easy to understand terms so I don't feel like he's up-selling me on a bunch of unnecessary repairs or upgrades. I also find him to be very friendly and an interesting person! As he was leaving this afternoon, I said that I hope something else breaks soon so I can call him back. He just smiled and humbly said, "that's the first time anyone has said that". He is just an outstanding human being and I would recommend him to anyone who would ask.

Sam has been excellent every time we used him. He will expedite parts ordered for an extra cost. Also he was very reasonable on our repair making sure it was completed quickly. We use our washer and dryer almost every day with a family of 4 and 2 dogs. His prompt service and reasonable fees keeps him on our call list for appliance repair. Thank you Sam.
