I had a main water leak in my main line from the city meter to my house. I noticed a lot of water coming out so I called a couple of plumbers. One came out searched one area and unfortunately they were unsuccessful in finding the leak. They advised I call a bigger company so I called water leak detectives they came out ran helium and pin pointed the leak in a few minutes. I got and estimate for the repair Steve and Tony were a pleasure to deal with and very professional thank you again for coming out and taking care of the problem!

I noticed one month I had a really high water bill me and my Neibhor figured out we had a leak somewhere. I looked around and found water leak detectives they came out the same day. They found the problem in just a few minutes and fixed it on site. Excellent services with great people standing behind there awesome work thank you again and will definitely be recommending future business through them!

I had Water Leak Detective come out because part of my yard kept staying wet, and I suspected something was wrong with my sprinklers. The technician quickly found an irrigation leak that I never would’ve located on my own. They showed me exactly where the break was and explained what needed to be done to fix it. Super professional, fast, and very knowledgeable. I’m glad I called them.

We had Water Leak Detective come out to check for a possible slab leak, and they were fantastic. The tech was patient, answered all my questions, and walked me through the process without rushing. They were quick to find the leak and recommend the appropriate repairs. I appreciated the transparency and the detailed report they provided. Highly recommended. 10/10

Challenge Rooter was FANTASTIC though out our entire sewer lateral work that was required after a home purchase. From their front office communication to the workers who come on site, they are timely, respectful and most importantly, competent. I obtained three quotes and Challenge Rooter was the most creative in coming up with a solution for an old system with some twists and turns, and were very fair in working with us on cost. When a deluge of rain came, some of the dirt settled (a totally normal thing) and they came out right away, to add some rock and dirt and resettle the land. They explained all of the steps very clearly, and helped me understand aspects that were confusing. We were given Challenge Rooter as a referral from our real estate agent and I won't hesitate to pass their name along.

Needed to get my sewer lateral into compliance. They quoted me $1100 to pressure test plus a bunch of additional things in case the pressure test failed. They refused to just do the pressure test alone and required me to pay for everything even though it might not be necessary. Eucebio was very rude about it and refused to explain and told me to just go with another company if I wanted it done logically.

DO NOT use challenge rooter!

We used this company to bring our sewer lateral line into compliance. Once we agreed with their proposal, they got right to work and obtained permission. Within about a week of R. signing the contract, they start at the project and completed all of the work, including inspection, within a couple of days.

Beyond expectations! My third project with Challenge Rooter was the biggest yet: to replace and upgrade the drainage system from the back patio, through the yard, to the street. PLUS during the same 3 days replace approx. 115 ft. of old clay pipe sewer lateral, including permit and inspection fees, excavation, proper traffic control, necessary concrete removal and replacement, replacing city WYE connection, obtaining the sewer lateral compliance test, off-hauling debris, cleaning work area, and more than can describe here. Basically, everything that needed to be done was done well! This was a relief, as my abundant past experiences with contractors, plumbers and other professional services often required me to keep a close eye to avoid pitfalls. With Challenge Rooter, Chebo the owner, Rosa and staff in the office, and the highly-experienced teams of workers maintained clear communication throughout the process, were responsive to any questions I might have, and the scheduling was precise. I recently used Challenge Rooter to bring my sewer lateral to compliance so I could sell my house. I won't lie, they did cost a bit more than the other companies. However, it ended up being a you get what you pay for in that they went above and beyond. At first, we had issues with getting info on what we would need to get compliance; the inspector wanted us to run the line behind the house and through someone else's property and Challenge figured out a good compromise to get the officer to state that he would approve a simpler fix.

However, we did have a gap between the time the fix was agreed on and the time when the actual work was done and once the work was done, the officer could not remember the details and would not issue the compliance certificate. Enter Rosa, my hero, who had all of the original information saved and was able to get it all together to show the officer so that he could approve the work.

Rosa and the crew at Challenge was great! Very clear communication and professional. They handled all the paperwork for us with our sewer lateral compliance, and were happy to answer all our questions. They left the job site cleaner than when they arrived, added bonus!

I requested an inspection from Challenge Rooter for a sewer lateral. They told me the entire pipe needed to be replaced otherwise it wouldn't pass inspection. I decided to get a second opinion from another company who showed me the video and said the pipe was fine. I had the sewer lateral tested with EBMUD and passed. Glad I saved myself the $7,500 Challenge Rooter quoted me.
