I interviewed Sam Goodwin at length about Home Repair Network and walked away impressed. Why doesn't every business operate with the same level of integrity and customer interest as HOCOA? Did you know only 20 percent of the businesses he interviews -- and he does the face-to-face interviews with all contractors himself -- meet Sam's standards? Or that business records are searched monthly to ensure establishments have the required insurance and licenses to operate? Or that he follows up customers to ensure they were treated right? This kind of customer advocacy and personal care is almost unheard of today. I've recommended Home Repair Network to my friends and highly recommend it to everyone else as well.

This company provides concierge services for homeowners. All repairs, improvements and maintenance for the home is provided by licensed and vetted trades people with a true wholesale pricing on materials. HOCOA also follows up to ensure that members are well taken care of. Sam Goodwin is helpful and is there to make sure whatever service has been ordered is done satisfactorily and in a timely fashion. I recommend.

I heard about HOCOA through my insurance agent at Farmers. He was kind enough to gift me a one year membership to the Home Repair Network as a thank you for his business. The follow up call to the message I left for service was prompt, professional and courteous. The organization that provided the service I requested the first time I called was exactly the same. I could not have been happier. The price was very reasonable as well. My experience the second time I called to price a different service was not as favorable. The vendor did promptly follow up and we set a tentative appointment subject to confirmation, but I was never able to reach him again. That is why I gave HOCOA only four stars.

Sam and HOCOA expertly contacted an electrician and handyman for my rental property in Carlsbad. Both did good work and satisfied my tenants entirely. Sam was easy to contact by phone and text. When you need a home repair, like I did--leaky pipe in shower next to bed room, you usually don't have a lot of time to screen contractors who provide such services. Fortunately, I was able to count on HOCOA, who have a network of reliable service professionals they refer to. The crew they recommended for the job was timely, and professional, and very cooperative with our particular scheduling issues. The job, which required not only pipe repair, but drywall replacement and other mitigation services, proceeded at an even pace, and was finished within a reasonable time, and looked great. All the while, HOCOA representatives checked in periodically to make sure things were going along smoothly.

It has been two years using HOCOA for our seven units in Oceanside that we manage from Palm Spring. They have made it so much easier by introducing us to hard working, honest, and reliable contractors. We use to have an issue in finding contractors that would be willing to work on our rental units and actually show up but since we have started using HOCOA that issue has diminished. Now if we have an issue we just send a quick email or text to HOCOA services and they get on it right away, they even follow up to make sure the contractor has contacted you and you are satisfied with their service. The customer service is definitely their strongest quality. I highly recommend using this service, it is incredibly helpful especially in a time where you need quick service. They have already done the hard part to vet out unqualified and unreliable contractors. All you need to do is call them. Trust me you will not regret it.

HOCOA is a great place to find house related projects/services in the San Diego area. Sam is very professional. I have used their services in the house a few times now. Once I contacted Sam, he quickly responded and my repair request was taken care of immediately. Also, he did follow up with me to see if I was happy with the service and everything was done as I wanted it to be. Great service! My experience has been pleasant so far with the people/companies who came for the house projects. They were professional and did excellent job and the most important thing (for me) is that they were happy to answer all my questions and provided suggestions if needed. Will be using HOCOA in future for sure!

Enviro Duct Deal did a great job on one of our projects. They were able to help us to salvage an under slab, corroding duct system and avoid running a new duct system through the interior of an existing house. They walked us through the steps to prep the trouble spots and came back to check them and then use their spray system. Clean, professional, and timely. I will use them again for unique situations like this.

In May 2022, Duct Armor coated our HVAC ducts.

Our ducts are encapsulated in the concrete slab foundation and had some rusting and deterioration of the metal since their installation 42-years ago.

Almost 2-years later, the coating is holding up and continues to perform as expected i.e., arresting the rusting process, sealed any openings, and providing a clean chamber for air to flow.

Our installers, Seth and Justin, were consummate professionals. They demonstrated expertise in both product knowledge and installation methods. Throughout the process they communicated with us in a pleasant and transparent manner patiently addressing our questions and concerns, and allowed us to view the coating installations live via the duct-camera monitor.

Carol, the owner, is outstanding. She responded to us both over the phone and via email in a prompt and thorough manner addressing our questions to our complete satisfaction.

Our home in Pasadena sustained soot and ash damage from the Eaton fire. During the course of remediation, it was discovered we had exposed fiberglass insulation in our air ducts. The insurance company insisted on cleaning vs replacing the ducts, despite three HVAC specialist confirming they could not be cleaned (disturbing the fiberglass further would make things even more unsafe). Enter Carol / Enviro Duct Seal to save the day. From my first conversation with her it was very clear she and her team have seen it all, and know how to handle jobs of all sizes. But what stood out the most was her warm, personal, yet professional approach, which remained a constant throughout the project. She spent so much time talking with me about our situation, helping us work with insurance, and she responded to every email or call with lightning speed. The guys who did the job were courteous and worked fast, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our ducts are like new inside for a fraction of the cost of replacing them. We have dealt with so many people trying to hustle fire victims by up-charging, over promising, and under-delivering, but Carol and her company were a bright spot in our remediation process and we are so grateful to have found them.

I’ve dealt with many a company in the trades, but it is always an extraordinary pleasure to find a team that checks all of the boxes. Carol and Enviro Duct Seal Technologies (EDS) came to us as a referral, which is always a good place to start. From the initial encounter Carol was amazing. Not only do they answer the phone, but it’s done with courtesy and efficiency. I was impressed by Carol’s initial comments regarding her confidence in their ability, but also making it very clear that they could not commit to results before they saw the job. In other words, if they couldn’t perform, they didn’t want to accept the contract. After inspection and then providing a quote (with a 15 year warranty), we agreed to proceed. As it turned out, the job was a bit more than they had expected, but they simply explained that extra time would be needed to properly complete the job and then did the extra work at NO extra charge. They basically said, “we quoted the job and want to do it right, so we’ll stand behind our quote and make it happen”. How great is that?!! When all was said and done not only was the job done correctly, staying on schedule and completed on time, but it was completed as quoted. Communication was great and everything, from prep to set-up to performance and ultimately clean-up, was beyond perfect; all with very competitive pricing. A+++; Well done!

Buyer beware! Owner charges $1,100 for a "design" and in my case at least, the design was amateurish and didn't represent the shape of my house or yard. He then refused to refund when I decided to not go ahead with the building of the pool. Other pool contractors will give you a much more sophisticated design using measurements and google earth and they do it for free in some cases.

Waterworks Pool Concepts was hired to design and complete an entire yard tear down and build out. With a pool/large spa, large yard sized deck, solar powered, yard design and lighting. Turned into even a more Complex project as El Niño hit and being on a steep hill in Bay Park, we had rain water related issues not in the contract, but were solved without charge or complaint by WPC.
All projects including the permits and inspections were all handled by WPC with no nickle or dime experience which I would have expected with other service providers.
The results were beyond my expectations, the experience was entirely positive the full multi month job, which was stress free despite traveling during stretches of the projects. They always delivered on their word, and showed up when promised.
I am not only a very happy customer, I am a big fan!!! You can trust in them and will be happy you chose them. They make sure of it!!!

Dave Mannigel and his crew did a great job on our pool close to 4yrs. But the reason for this review is the care and service they have provided since. Even though the pool was out of their warranty period Dave has continued to go out of his way for any pool issues I’ve had since. Most recent he has answered and returned my calls on a weekend when I had a pool emergency that otherwise without his help most likely would have resulted in all the water from my pool draining cause me a bigger disaster. Thank You Dave for your continued help even though there is no requirement for you to assist me! This type of customer care and assistance I would put above most other pool builders.
