I requested quotes from three companies for a totally new replacement AC/heat/duct system for my small 70's house.
The owner, Anthony, came to the house to prepare an estimate, and was very helpful in educating me about the choices in systems available.
While one of the other companies quotes was comparable, and they seemed knowledgeable, I chose Major League because there was no pressure to purchase and a friend had a good experience with them.
The crew who did the work were all very polite and really knew what they were doing. I feel like I got a quality installation, with quality components, and look forward to using my new AC (which this house has never seen). Bring on the heat! :)

Justin is a great service technician. We had a pesky issue with a Freon leak. He exhaustively diagnosed the system to a faulty component and will have the system back up and running in no time. Highly recommended to take care of your A/C-Heating needs. We are selling our home, but will highly recommend Justin and the Major League Team to the new owners. The Best of the Best!

Choosing an HVAC system and company is a daunting task. When researching HVAC systems I learned that the 2 most important things to consider are SEER ratings, energy efficiency, and noise levels, decibels. In addition the article I read said to get quotes by 3 different companies and you’d be amazed at what you learn not only about HVAC systems but about the differences in companies. So I did that. One company sent out a sales rep that educated me on systems and tried to sell me on the most expensive unit, a new duct system, and all the other bells and whistles. The 2nd company didn’t even send out a sales rep but had a tech guy come out to get all the information he needed. Then the sales guy emailed me a ridiculously expensive quote without even inquiring about my needs. Finally I had Major League Comfort Systems (MLCS) come out to meet with me. I chose them because I was interested in a Bryant (Carrier) system and they are a distributor for them out in my area. In addition the reviews were positive, they are family owned & operated, been in business for many years, and frankly I liked the name. To my delight the owner, Anthony, came out to discuss my needs and educate me on the various levels of systems and price points. I never felt like he was upselling me and he was the only one that didn’t try to sell me a new air duct system at a cost of $3k+. I felt he was honest and had integrity. His quote wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive but met my needs for high energy efficiency and low noise. After making the decision to go with MLCS a date was set for the install. Anthony and his install technician, Mike, showed up on time, listened to a couple concerns I had, acknowledged them, and then promptly went about installing my system. Mike was thorough, friendly, very professional, communicated clearly, completed the install sooner than expected, and cleaned up everything to perfection. My entire experience with MLCS exceeded my expectations, they hit a grand slam, and are deserving of my business and this glowing review. I recommend them highly! Give them a chance to earn your business too!

What a wonderful, professional experience.

This year I decided to have my 40-year-old furnace replaced and install central cooling for my home before things get hot this summer. I had four separate quotes from different sized businesses (including the big orange one). Major League came in with a low, competitive price, with high end brand new equipment.

Tim and Marley finished the job in less time than expected. The workmanship of the installation was of the highest quality. Both were professional, helpful, and they answered my questions in a manner that showed they were interested in making sure I was fully educated on my new system. They were also sure to very carefully clean up after themselves.

I am totally recommending Major League to all my friends, and I'll be using them for maintenance. Wonderful work!

We bought a Mini Split system in June. Anthony did an excellent job of walking us thru the different options and set up our install date. On the day of install we had 4 installers show up (On Time) Anthony as well as his father were there to get them going. The installers went to work and they worked like a well oiled machine! They knew what to do and did it as if they had done it a million times! The installers were so polite, and very respectful of our property. If you want the job done right the 1st. time Major League Comfort is the place to go.

Only have wonderful things to say about Major League, a family company I was recommended by a neighbor. My furnace broke down right before New Years and I called Major League for assessment of the system. Liam was very courteous, clearly presenting options for fixing and replacement, while not putting any pressure on me for decision. He was available for follow-up questions, which helped me make the decision to replace my 20-year-old furnace. Major League was more up front than other companies I contacted, with prices very reasonable and on par with other bids. Anthony, Liam, and the rest of the team (JR, Andres, and DJ) were very professional on install day, working diligently to finish the project within the allotted time. Anthony and Liam came out often to check on the install progress, keeping me up to date throughout the day. The system works great, and the team at Major League has been happy to answer questions after the fact. A great company!

Major league Comfort, they were here to perform the annual maintenance on our unit. They were here on time cleaned the inside and outside units.
They performed a system inspection and went over the entire inspection with us. They didn’t rush the maintenance or inspection and we can’t recommend them any higher! They do an outstanding job.

Justin took care of our A/C system, explained the process, performed a full inspection and maintenance, plus offered great information on optimum settings and other operational parameters to maximize performance and efficiency. He did a great job.

Adding to this post following a break/fix service…I went with this company for the service - there are lots of good A/C units out there, but one day it will come down to the service, and Major League Comfort Services delivers on the Service. They advocate for their customer, they show up on time, know their stuff, and provide product AND customer care. Great products aren’t maximized unless there’s great service. All California homeowners and contractors are required to comply with the requirements of the California Code of Regulations Title 24, Part 6, Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings to meet the state’s energy goals and requirements.

Additionally, homeowners in California are required to schedule a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) testing whenever a new mechanical system that requires verification or testing is installed in their home. This is part of Title 24, Part 6 of the HERS Program formed by the California Energy Commission to differentiate the energy efficiency levels among California homes and guide investment in cost-effective home energy efficiency measures.

BUILDING DIVISION - Alterations - Examples of projects considered alterations include:
7. Replacing an existing heating system or adding a heating system (e.g., furnace, wall heater, heat pump or radiant floor);
8. Replacing an existing cooling system or adding a cooling system (e,g., air conditioner or heat pump);
9. Extending or replacing an existing duct system, or adding an entirely new duct system;

For existing homes, the 2016 Building Energy Efficiency Standards require testing of ducts, after a central air conditioning and/or heating system is installed or replaced, with some exceptions.

NOTE: The California Energy Commission updates the standards every three years. Buildings permitted on or after January 1, 2020, must comply with the 2019 Standards

HERS Testing - Glen (CalCERTS inc - Certified HERS Rater) and Anthony (Major League Comfort Systems) arrived around 10:14 a.m. and proceeded to cover all the 11 vents and 1 return grill so testing could be performed. Testing from arrival to departure took approximately 35-45 minutes. Testing documents will be uploaded to the CalCERTSinc site. We were told it would take about 3 weeks to have all paperwork available in order to set up an appointment for a final with the City permit department.

Scheduling of the HERS testing was handled by Anthony of Major League Comfort Systems and yet again this was a seamless, well coordinated process.

This is my second time using Major League for AC services. Both times they were professional, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, etc. I highly recommend them. First time was for AC installation and it was done quickly and well and everything explained thoroughly. The techs in my home for three days were as unobtrusive as they could be and kept things cleaned up at the end of each day. They were all very kind and respectful young men. This time was for maintenance. It was in the height of summer which meant a service call was a week out, but when I explained an urgent need, they rearranged and squeezed me in not only same day, but in two hours. Justin was my tech and he was as wonderful as he was the last time. Very knowledgeable and very patient with my questions, explaining everything to me. He is such a very nice, personable guy and a delight to work with. Both techs were so respectful of my home and careful not to let my cat outside with all the coming in and out!! The work was done in just a couple hours and no issues following! I had previously purchased a maintenance service to be used later but it had been five years and was supposed to be used for general upkeep and not repair work which this was, and yet they applied it for this visit. I have had many repairmen and services to my home over 25 years-plumbers, electricians, contractors, etc., and Major League has been the best by far.

We bought a home with a 19 yr old AC unit. During renovations the unit was disconnected and the location of the thermostat was covered up with newly installed drywall. When I called Major League Comfort Systems, they were understanding and very friendly. They worked hard to schedule us in right away. Justin is awesome and very experienced! He quickly found where the thermostat was and installed a new one. He hooked up our AC and didn’t try to upsell us into buying a new one. He only made recommendations on how to help it run better. If I detail out everything Justin did, I would be writing a book. Let’s just say he is the real “White Glove Guy”! Not to mention they are also very affordable. Every interaction my wife and I have had with this company has been refreshingly pleasant. You just don’t get that type of customer service and experience these days.
