Shawn is an honest soul. I was told that my compressor had to be replaced by another shop in Placentia and was quoted $540. However, I found Shawn online, and he insisted on checking the system first. Nevertheless, he found a leak and fixed it for $150. Now, my car blows cold! He was honest and told me that my compressor was very old since I am at 190k, but he gave me options, and that is what I appreciate. Other places will go straight for your pockets and tell you that it is the compressor.

FCE has been my car mechanic since 1995 when Henry was the owner and he introduce his brother Shawn in year 2007 to take over when he retire, I still come here when I have problems with my cars till the present. Shawn Chu at FCE was excellent. Shawn resolved AC issue I had been having with the dealership. Dealership told me evap coil to be replaced for $4000. Shawn showed me my vehicle passing the AC leak check at 30 inches of vacuum. I would recommend FCE to anyone experiencing AC issues with their vehicle.

Brought my 2011 Honda CRV in because the air was blowing cold-ish but would start blowing hot air after about 30-40 minutes on the road. Shawn was very transparent with what his plan was to diagnose the problem and what issues may arise if, after fixing the first issue (broken fan), it still was not working. The first issue did not resolve it, but Shawn kept me updated at every step via text with photos too. We did not need to replace the compressor and I was out of there under $700!! Much better than being charged upwards of $2000 at a dealership.

Brought my car in this morning in anticipation of a very hot weekend road trip. My AC was blowing cold but not cold enough to really cool down the car, especially with passengers in the backseat. Shawn was quick (in and out in under 90 minutes), pragmatic, and taught me a lot about my car's AC system. My AC is now blowing super cold. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

If you want an Honest Affordable and Professional place to take your vehicle Shawn is all that and more! I took my 06'Tacoma in with a/c issues (a/c light blinking and a/c suddenly just shutting off, and the air not blowing cold or hard) and not only did Shawn find and fix the problem, but he explained everything thoroughly as he did the diagnosis. He said that the compressor I had was old and not working to full capacity but still good enough to keep using a while longer. I didnt need a new one yet or any other expensive parts. He replaced a fuse sensor and charged up my freon. Shawn took my truck in as soon as I got there and diagnosed the problem and fixed it in just a short time at a great price!

Shawn is one of the most hard-working and honest mechanics out there; he's right there at the top of our list. Our Civic's air conditioning wasn't working and hot air was blowing through the vents. We took it to an auto shop and we were basically told that the compressor needed to be replaced but it wasn't going to be a guarantee that a new compressor would fix the A/C. We wanted a second opinion so we took it to Shawn. It took more than one visit but Shawn eventually diagnosed the issue correctly and communicated with us his thoughts through the entire process. We didn't need to replace the compressor and we saved a ton of $ due to Shawn's expertise. Please go see Shawn if you need someone trustworthy and reliable.

I had a high efficiency furnace installed today. The installation went smoothly and the technicians did a great job. Highly appreciated their expertise and customer service. It is obvious they have complete control over everything encountered with my furnace replacement with lots of attention to detail and TLC. Shawn is an amazing and very honest mechanic! I first took my Volkswagen GTI to Tom's Radiator & AC Services to get my AC fixed and they tried to charge me 1500$! After that I found out about Shawn's shop and decided to give it a try since it had so many good reviews. Shawn was right away a very honest and knowledgeable man. He took the time to educate me on the different issues that could be causing my AC not to work. In the end Shawn checked my car for known issuses, changed my Compressor Control Solenoid Valve, which was a 40$ part, and recharged my AC all for 200$. My AC now blows nice and cold! My car has 160k+ miles, I wanted to get it ready for this coming summer season. I took it in for a check-up on my ac because I haven't touched the system since i got it back in 2015. Shawn could have easily charged for a recharge, but after a few minutes of checking my car, he said the system is good and did not need a recharge. Ac is blowing cold, and I will be coming back for future ac maintenance needs.

My truck’s AC was leaking and I needed a true diagnosis to repair not a simple replace everything solution. Shawn asked if I I could stay so I could watch; boy was this a treat. He explained every step that he was doing during his diagnosis and helped me to understand why this was done. Bottom line is that one of my AC ports leaked from the valve and at the compressor switch. He replaced those items, pressure tested, and then recharged my system. I was able to get a repaired system for a couple hundred dollars. The wealth of teaching was worth the most to me. Shawn is your man.

Sean is the best! I was having issues with my Lexus IS250 AC blowing hot air. Sean was able to diagnose and fix the issue in less than 24 hours. He also provided pictures of the issue and followed up with calls to provide an update. Any other mechanic would've overcharged me for unnecessary work. Shawn is amazing. Brought my car in for the ac and he let me know of an exteded warranty that I should inquire about it to try and save money, but if it wasn't covered to bring it back to him. It wasn't covered so I brought it back and he got everything fixed and my car back to me with-in 24hrs. He has great communication every step of the way and gave me a great price. 100% recommend.
