I'm responding to a comment from Melody Alvarez from earlier today. Albert & his team are extremely professional, honest, efficient & worked on two apartments simultaneously for us. They did a great job! I highly recommend them. We manage several properties & will continue to work with this company.

Alberto, I apologize for our tenant's comment. Your team did not send someone to yell at her. In fact, she was not being polite & I asked her to stop yelling at your team. It was very uncalled for. I'm really sorry you received a review from her.

For the record I'm not Agent for this company. We hired this company to work on a property we manage. Melody is our tenant. I asked her to please remove her uncalled review on this company as the workers did nothing wrong. She's clearly upset I asked her to stop yelling at the workers.

The men who installed both a heater and air conditioning unit for us were very professional and friendly. Great job!

Alan arrived to check on my furnace, discovered the problem and had it fixed quickly. Extremely courteous, professional and I highly recommend VACCO and their staff.

BEWARE! During our home inspection, the AC was found to be nonfunctional. The sellers decided to use Vacco to fix the problem. Less than three months after we moved in, the AC went out, just as it was during the inspection. We had multiple contractors come out and they all told us the same thing, there was a leak in the unit that seemed to have been there long-term. We attempted to call Vacco to request all the documents they gave the sellers and their realtor, however Liz refused. She said the sellers were her customer (and even knew their realtor on a first name basis) and refused to give us any more documents. Liz then proceeded to call the seller's realtor and warn them of our request for more information. The manager, Mark, attempted to diffuse the issue by offering us their service to fix the unit at a fair price. He also said that their technician may or may not have missed the original leak.

Long story short, Vacco is choosing to cover up and protect the seller and their realtor, since they know them personally. They either have poor technicians or are liars..or maybe both. DO NOT trust any work they do, or claim to do, especially during escrow.

The VAACO team did a great job in sizing, selecting, and installing our new 5 Ton AC unit. The selection of the Rheem AC unit was a perfect match to the existing 100k BTU Rheem heating system already in the home. Installation was a little unique, placing the condenser on the porch balcony, and the team did an awesome job from start to finish! With the new Venstar HD Thermostat, the settings can be programmed remotely via my Android phone...cool stuff fer sure! (pardon the pun ;-).

City inspection passed smoothly, and operation of the AC is so quiet my family doesn't even know when it's running.

Robert came out to diagnose a furnace in a rental and determined it was the fan motor. He called me a couple days later to tell me the motor was no longer available and I asked him, "even at Johnstone?" He said he'd check but even if he found one, it'd be so expensive that it'd only be a few hundred dollars less than a new furnace. 2 days later I got a call from Jaime who was sending me an estimate for a new furnace. I looked the fan motor up myself and found it within 5 minutes for anywhere from $100-$200; much less than the "couple hundred dollars less" than the quoted $3400. new furnace. Not trusting their diagnosis at this point, I drove 50 miles to diagnose it myself and it turned out to be a fan switch. Put a new switch in and it was running fine. A few months later, I put in a new ("unavailable") fan motor to tune it up, but it didn't have to as it was running fine. I emailed Jaime to tell him I was disappointed and give him a chance to refund the money I spent on the diagnosis as it was incorrect AND I was lied to but it has been 3 weeks now and I haven't even received an apology. When I do put new furnaces in my rentals, I certainly won't be using VACCO!

We just had the best experience with VACCO! We had Jaime come our for an estimate and he couldn’t have been more professional! The price was very reasonable for replacing the existing heater and install an air conditioning unit! Only a two week wait period and it was all done in two days! Update:

On February 7th, 2024, I noticed that my heater wasn’t working properly. I contacted Anacapa. Tristan and Rodger came to my home that afternoon. They were able to diagnose the problem, and explained in depth, what was wrong (a faulty valve).
Anacapa ordered the part, Tristan and Rodger returned for the repair ( very involved, many hours repair), the following week.

They were professional, kind, friendly, and explained what the process entailed.
My heater is now working as it should. I highly recommend Anacapa Heating & Air! I wouldn’t use anyone else. Thank you for your outstanding service!
Update: November 14, 2024, Rodger came to my home to do my bi-annual maintenance. I needed to change the service time at the last minute. As usual, Anacapa was accommodating and kind. Great company, the best service! Highly recommend!
Update: Reuben did my summer maintenance, air conditioner service. He was very patient and kind, even while my dog barked at him. He was very thorough, and fixed the piercing sound that was coming from the unit. Anacapa is wonderful!

We had a heat pump installed. The Anacapa heating crew was fast, competent, and cheerful. We really enjoyed having them around, and the installation went great. Thank you!

We have used this heating and air conditioning established for over 15 years. They are always prompt on there response, quick to come and show up on time. Roger came over and let me tell you he has to be the nicest tech who ever did a service call. He was awesome at diagnosing the issue and had my system running again within 30 min. He identified that my system needed a pound of refrigerant and the cost was spot on for the work. I hope I get roger again should I need more help with my AC!!!
