Tech arrived early, I showed him to the attic and explained what was happening with the heater. He took some photos of the unit and then came down and said “I heard a man’s voice, is your husband home so I can talk to him”. Translation, you are not smart enough to understand what I’m going to say. I am a highly intelligent woman with 40 years experience renovating homes. I don’t just hire the trades, I physically do the work. I know my heater is old, I wanted a diagnosis of what part had failed. (I suspect the igniter as it no longer clicks). Instead I got a slideshow, a lot of BS and a request to connect us with a sales rep. All the tech had to say is “your heater is old and I’m not comfortable fixing it”. I paid the tech the $109. fee and sent him on his way. My son and his girlfriend overheard the conversation. My son had no doubt I would hold my cool and end the tech visit quickly. My son’s girlfriend was flabbergasted and said she’d never heard a man say something like that before. I’m writing this review in hopes that my son’s girlfriend and other women will never be subjected to this kind of treatment - no woman should have her intelligence questioned in her own home. Side note: we are doing an entire HVAC install sometime next year, Anacapa Air will not be asked to bid the job.

Anacapa Heating & Air provided the most prompt and thorough service we’ve seen in ages! They analyzed the problem, came up with a cost effective solution, searched for the appropriate high quality replacement product that their techs would install. Their bid was provided with incredible, long term warranties for parts and labor. Anacapa’s team worked flawlessly together. And, they’re tidy!

This company not only delivers on its promise of a quick installation, but their HVAC specialists are fantastic and did a terrific job. We have been without heat, and after dealing with several other HVAC companies that blew us off, these guys came out on Tuesday and installed a new heater on Wednesday. I am so grateful for a warm house, as it is going to rain again soon! Highly recommend and will never use another HVAC company, they are the best in VC.

After being told by another HVAC company that I needed a complete furnace replacement and that we were in danger of possible carbon monoxide poisoning, I decided to get a second opinion. I called Anacapa and Ruben came out and inspected the system. He confirmed that we did not in fact need a completely new system, but only needed a couple parts replaced. I truly appreciate Ruben‘s punctuality, honesty and thoroughness.

After several months of battling my home warranty company to replace a mini-split system in my home, I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and hire a contractor and pay the cost out of pocket. I obtained estimates from Anacapa and one other company. I decided to go with Anacapa because they were able to install within the week versus the other company which was scheduling several weeks out. I was thrilled with my decision. The team at Anacapa was terrific. Unlike most other contractors, the installers arrived on-time as promised. They were polite, professional and respectful of my home. A few days after the install, the power to the area was suspended due to line maintenance and our whole house generator kicked on. When that happened, it caused the split-system to turn on and remain on. I called Anacapa and they came out the next day and fixed the issue. Dealing with the front office was also very pleasant. I am now using Anacapa to maintain both the split system they installed and my central HVAC system in the main portion of the house. I would highly recommend Anacapa for HVAC needs in the area.
