Nice company, however they charged $300 to replace a simple kitchen faucet in a few minutes. I will not use them again.

We used services from Roman's Plumbing and the people there both on the phone and the staff that came out to service us were professional, friendly, caring and prompt. The problems were all resolved and I would recommend their services to everyone. Thank you so much.

I found Roman's plumbing after a search on the Internet about a year ago and was struck by the unanimously glowing reviews of this business. Since I do most of the repair work on my house myself, however, I had no need of their services until my water heater died, and I called them right away. They went out of their way to help me even though they were swamped with work and, in an effort to see that I was served immediately, referred me to another plumber (Elite Plumbing) to do the work. Elite did the job but was NOT responsive to service calls, and we went without hot water for a long time. Finally, rather than trying to get Elite back to fix the problem once again, I called Roman's (which I should have originally done) and got the man himself (Roman) the same day. He solved the problem inside of an hour and even gave me some advice on a small project I was doing myself. I will go to NO other plumber after this, not even (i.e. especially not) Elite Plumbing, since I value service after installation and responsiveness to call-backs even more highly, in some ways, than the quality of the initial installation. As I said above, my only regret is that I didn't insist on Roman's doing the job in the first place, but since I already trusted them on the phone, I figured that their referral would be as good as they are. (They have since confirmed with me that they no longer recommend Elite.)

These are the people if you're looking for a great plumber. I shopped around a bit for a plumber to fix a broken water pipe under my driveway. They had a fair price and great service. Scheduled fast, showed up on time, told me how I could save a few bucks doing things myself, got the work done quickly, and even came back afterwards to check on everything after some freezing weather without me asking. I can't recommend these people enough. This will be the only plumber I use.

If you want a job done quickly, flawlessly and at a lower cost than most plumbers would charge, go with Roman's. If you have a plumbing issue, they're likely to know what the problem is after a five-minute conversation, but they'll use professional equipment to diagnose the issue for certain. Perhaps what's best about them is they really lay out all of your options and give a cost-benefit analysis of each. They really go out of their way to save you money. As an added benefit, they've got a great sense of humor and are a lot of fun to talk to.

Roman did an excellent job start to finish, handled inspections and permits and was really easy to communicate and schedule / plan with. Flexible, on time, no complaints I highly recommend

How much diagnostic do you need for leaky faucets or a leaky toilet. They charged $175 for diagnosing 3 faucets and one toilet . It took him 20 minutes to go and get his tape measure. He was on his phone waisting time so one hour passes. He told us we have to change the toilet and all the faucet completely. He wanted to just make his trip worth . The hardware store person told us we only have to change the washers on all of them . We end up paying more than $2000. Is not right too ripoff people .

I admit, I'm a self-proclaimed skeptic and always have a little bit of reservation about taking at face value the information I have been given by some so-called "professionals". This has never been the case with Roman's Plumbing. Regardless of whether I'm talking to the office staff, his plumbers, or Roman himself, I've never felt like I was being upsold on a product or service. Everything is always explained in a professional way that makes sense and validates why the suggested repair or service is being recommended. I very much appreciate a business that demonstrates excellent customer service as part of the quality of their work.

We had been looking a trustworthy, reliable, honest plumber for over 20 years before we found Roman's back in 2012. We've used his company for quite a few projects from Waste Line repair and modification (including fixing the damage done by prior not so great plumbers) to Rooting out drains.

Roman's also did some toilet replacement and repair work at the Bennett Valley Guild Hall for us.

His service has also been top notch!

Well, guess what. Roman saved the day yet again!

Last night (Monday) we were starting to unload our dishwasher at around 8:30 PM when we discovered a large amount of water in the cabinet and on the floor under our kitchen sink.

Turns our our 15+ year old Garbage Disposal seals were shot and it was leaking, but I wasn't sure that's what the problem was until after Roman's visit.

After cleaning everything up, I sent an email off to Roman and Eleni just before 9 asking for a near emergency visit as we're about to leave on vacation in 2 days on Thursday.

I was pleasantly surprised when they responded and let me know they'd schedule something for us before we left.

This morning (Tuesday) I was delighted when Roman was able to come by Just after 9AM.

He quickly diagnosed the problem (shot Disposal), gave us a quote (he carries two different dishwasher models in his truck), and replaced the dishwasher with the high quality model we chose.

We can't thank Roman enough for his timely, thorough, professional, and courteous service. The price was very reasonable too for an emergency call.

I continue to recommend Roman's Plumbing to all my friends.

Roman and Jay are the nicest and most professional plumbers in the biz! They recently installed a new disposal in our kitchen and then did a major job of getting city water turned on for the backyard so we can switch back and forth between city and well water. They were always on time, friendly, professional, respectful and wore booties in the house. They were super fast and made sure they didn’t have to turn the water off for long. I couldn’t have been happier. Highly recommended, 10 stars!!!

I am very happy with Roman’s service and not trying to sell me something I don’t need they fixed my problem in a timely manor. I called in the am and the work was done 6 hrs later the same day. Will for sure recommend this company to friends and family.

The heat pump water heater, with rebates from Sonoma Clean Power and BayREN all had extensive requirements that the company needed to meet, and they were willing to go the extra mile, resulting in significant cost savings to me. They deserve 10 stars for a really well run business, high quality work, and consulting on making the best decisions on equipment. They also are the nicest most professional group from top to bottom. They have a modern system in place to take estimates and manage appointments that keeps you on top of what to expect. This type of investment in business process always makes me feel more confident.

We have used Roman's plumbing for a variety of things including new water heater, new bathrooms including all fixtures, water pumps to move heated water more efficiently to the far end of the house, replacing old spigots, adding hot water access outdoors and recently a new whole house water filtration system. They have been on time, priced well, always smiling and super kind to our irritating but lovable dog.

I called for an appointment and they went out of their way to get me in during the times I had available, offered referrals if they couldn’t schedule with me and when they were able to come out Roman was thorough, kind, and honest.

Roman came out and repaired a broken pressure valve for us. What made this great was that he handled all the permitting with the city (who knew you needed that?) and made sure he was here to meet with inspectors while we were out of town. Fantastic service!

Yet another great save by Roman!

We have our HVAC system on a maintenance contract from a well regarded home service company. We've been very happy with their past service on our heating and cooling. However, they also do plumbing and offered us a free plumbing inspection and water heater flush. I had been doing the water heater flushes in the past, but decided to give them a try.

The visit also included an inspection under the house of the supply and waste service. They came back with a shocking report of our 62 year old mostly cast iron waste system suffering from major corrosion and starting to leak. Their recommended action was to replace the waste system and they gave us an estimate of almost $17,000 to do the job.

We asked Roman to come and give us a second opinion. He did and gave us a detailed report with pictures and said that he couldn't find any leaks and that the cast iron was sound with just the normal surface discoloration that would be expected in a 62 year old system.

The only recommended action was to isolate some of the copper lines where they were in contact with the cast iron to prevent galvanic corrosion, this was as a result of a 20 year old bathroom remodel. He wrapped the pipes with thick electrical tape to provide the recommended isolation. He also found a few other minor issues that did not need any action (just poor craftsmanship 20 years ago from the bathroom remodeling contractor).

One red flag that the home service plumber raised was the use of a section of Apache ABS pipe in one of the remodeled sections. Pipe from that manufacturer was recalled in the 1990s. However, Roman determined that that section of pipe was not suffering from the issue that caused the recall and no action was needed.

Details: The bad Apache ABS reacted to the glue used to connect it. The failures that occurred happened early in the life of that connection. Roman found the Apache pipe and connection quite sound. Conclusion, this pipe was not suffering from the problem that caused the recall.

So major expense averted!

He has to update the old one to tell the most recent story due to their review character limit. So I'm posting our most recent experience here.
