I had an extremely disappointing experience with their technician, Jeremy, during his visit yesterday. He previously came to my home about a month ago to diagnose the issue, and I found him to be pleasant at that time. However, his demeanor during yesterday’s visit was noticeably different — he was unprofessional and rude.
He was short and argumentative with me, and I was not given an opportunity to test the washing machine before he left. After an awkward exchange, he stated, “You now have a washing machine that works — you’re welcome,” and walked out.
As it turns out, the washing machine still does not work, and I will likely need to purchase a new one.
I did not choose Antech Appliances directly, since they were dispatched through American Home Shield. After this experience, I intend to cancel my home warranty, as I prefer to have more control over who performs future appliance repairs.
I called their office shortly after the appointment to share my concerns & additional details but have yet to receive a response from his supervisor. -
I have had my washing machine down since November, first ordered a part that didn’t fix the problem then another part and again not fixed, then they scheduled a repair then changed the repair date still washing machine is broken. Technician that worked on the machine stated I’m doing this for free and was mad when I said he shorted out the board, it blew my breaker, he of course made it a point to say I’m working for free , as though he is the one inconvenienced . Excuses, excuses and we are still down .

This company was assigned to us through our extended warranty.
This company diagnosed the problem with our refrigerators ice machine as a burned out motor. They ordered a new part, which took awhile, and gave us a 12:00-5:00 meeting time. They arrived promptly and replaced our ice machine.
Unfortunately the technician installed it incorrectly and it wouldn't work.
When I scheduled to have them repair it again, my window of work was 12:00-5:00. Meanwhile, we have had no ice for five weeks.
I made arrangements to leave work early (AGAIN) at noon, only to have them call me at 10:30, to notify me that they can not meet me during the scheduled window, and that I would have to reschedule again.
The repair technician told me he had to drive to La Jolla, and that he would NOT drive back to my house as the trip was 40 minutes (our window was 12:00-5:00, and this call happened at 10:30 am).
He also told me that he needed to pick friends up at the airport instead of meeting me during our scheduled time frame.
Unacceptable and unprofessional.
This company has hundreds of negative reviews and they are well earned. Avoid them at all costs, and if your extended warranty assigns them to you, request a different company immediately. -
Stay away from these people!
Six months ago, I had them come to my home to repair my ice maker and fridge door through my insurance. They sent an older man who was extremely rude and didn’t speak a single word of English. I tried to explain the issue with the door, but he wasn’t listening. He just replaced the ice maker and walked off. I kept telling him the door was still broken, but he literally left.
I filed a complaint with my insurance, but nothing was done. Six months later, the ice maker started leaking—ten times worse than before—and the door was still broken. This is an expensive Samsung double-door fridge.
They scheduled service for the afternoon but never showed up. I canceled and gave up, but my wife kept insisting we fix it, so I opened another claim with my insurance. Here I am again dealing with these rogue people. They asked me to defrost the fridge 48 hours before the appointment. We had to remove everything, get a portable cooler, and basically camp in our house for two days with all the food.
The service was scheduled for 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. I got a text at 8 a.m. confirming the tech was on the way. By 11 a.m., I was worried no one would come, and all our food needed to go back in the fridge. Nobody answered my calls or replied to my texts. At 2:30 p.m., they finally sent a text saying, “Unfortunately, the tech will not make it today.” No kidding, Sherlock!
Pathetic service. Pathetic people. Stay away!
Update: regarding the reply from the owner, regardless of a big storm or not, I tried reaching to guys out via text or phone since 10:30 as I had a feeling you guys wouldn’t showed and nobody answered or replied , the storm did no affected the cell towers and a bit of consideration to your customer can go a long way. Secondly, The man did not speak any English and it was rude. Lastly, that’s not true about the approval as both were logged together and approved under my account for both services but he could be bothered dealing with me and literally walked away.
Yes, your business do have a lot to learn and your reviews make this more than transparent. -
DO NOT use this company. Technician was rude, hostile and did not examine parts of concern but claims that here is no issue. We were forced to use this company as it was sent by American Home Shield (we have ShieldComplete). If this is the type of contractors American Homeshield works with, I would advise not going with American HomeShield but another company

The 1-star reviews of Antech are completely warranted. I had a home warranty work order to fix my washing machine dispatched to them. The tech came out and thought he fixed the issue. He didn't. I've called Antech multiple times to get them to send the tech back to actually fix the issue, but they refuse to set up an appointment. The warranty company will not dispatch the work order to another service provider because they already paid Antech.

I am extremely frustrated with the service I received on my LG Dryer. The technician had to come back 5 separate times. Each time I called it took them a week or more to fit us into their schedule and then they would “fix” the dryer and it would stop working again within a day. After 5 separate service calls their diagnosis was “there’s nothing wrong with it”, yet it still won’t dry and I haven’t had a working dryer for nearly 2 months.

The technician did not perform even basic due diligence. He immediately jumped to an incorrect conclusion that the microwave could not be on a GFCI outlet, without checking or testing anything.
The actual issue was never addressed. I later had a licensed electrician confirm that the outlet was functioning properly, proving the technician’s assumption was wrong. This visit showed a clear lack of technical knowledge and an incomplete, unprofessional approach to service.
I would not recommend this company based on this experience. -
The technician that came out was great. He had a really busy day but still was able to come out. He recommended 2 components to replace. Came back a week later and replaced the two parts. The dishwasher isn't fixed yet. There is an additional issue I am working with a home warranty company with.
UPDATE: The next service technician came out and charged us an additional fee to fix the machine. Between a rock and a hard place with dishes stacking up, I agreed to pay and it was fixed. The dishwasher wasn't put back into the original place bc "I have to go. I have kids." BS. When contacting the home warranty company, they have no information regarding why that technician charged us. No information was given. Shady as hell -
I usually don't write reviews but have to. My home warranty uses "Antech Appliance" so I had no choice but to use them. So last year my washing machine threw an "error code". Long story short, "Antech" gave me the runaround for 3 weeks just to come out. I had to call my home warranty to get another vendor out, as I was fed up.
Fast forward to two weeks ago, I had to use my home warranty again. Guess whose the vendor... "Antech". Sure enough they started playing the same game. They scheduled me for that Monday and the day of, would cancel the appointment. They did this two more times.
I don't even know how they are still a vendor of "American Home Shield". They need to be dropped quick! -
We have had an unfortunate experience with Antech. For the first appointment we waited all afternoon. Finally, the next day or two, they contacted us that their van broke down. A technician came to fix our refrigerator. He said he needed parts, a motor. The part came, and a new guy came to replace. He found a rotor needed replacement. He tried to glue the old rotor. It failed. He ordered another part. A new guy came with the new part. He installed improperly or the wrong part was ordered. The refrigerator has been out of service of over three weeks, which has greatly harmed out family. We brought in a new technician who was more competent and who is now handling the situation. Antech was a complete loss. Sorry to report.

we have been trying to get our samsung refrigerator repaired by this worthless company. first a non english speaking tec was sent out to diagnose the problem. told it would take 7 to 10 days for the part. forgot to add the 4 days we were told it would take to unpack the part. then were told if we used another tech it would be even longer wait. appointment was made for 12-2-2025 for 12 to 5. then when we called at 3 to check we were told it would be 6. do not buy an appliance at lowes the warranty company uses companies like this. the company they used to fix my dryer almost caused a fire in my dryer. lucky for us the dryer burned out before that.

If I could give this company -5 stars I would. It has been over 3 months and they're not able to fix my refrigerator. Appointment after appointment after appointment and nothing. First they said it was the computer panel, then the compressor and then a different part. And worst of all they sent a guy that doesn't speak or understand English. Now we're left out of Thanksgiving dinner. Do not ever contact this POS company. They don't do nothing the help you.

I am very sorry to report that Antech has demonstrated terrible professionalism during their work on my refrigerator. The first appointment, they never showed up. Claimed they had a problem with their van. A week later they showed up and claimed they needed parts. About two weeks later they come back and install parts. But, a rotor was not ordered, and the old rotor was broken. They ordered a new rotor. A new fellow arrived a week later and installed the rotor. But this did not fix the problem, and there was a continual noise and no significant cooling of the refrigerator. Getting them to return was a difficulty because they always are backed up. I hired a new company, and found that Antech failed to properly diagnose the problem. I was very disappointed, and my family suffered from not having a refrigerator for several weeks already.

Our experience with Antech Appliances, Inc. has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. We placed our original service request with AHS on 10/5/25, and a technician came out on 10/9/25 to look at multiple issues: a freezer that wasn’t cooling properly, a broken microwave handle, and a washer and dryer that were not functioning correctly.
After that initial visit, we didn’t see them again until 10/29. At that appointment they fixed the microwave, freezer, and dryer. They also replaced parts on the washer, but left all the old parts and trash behind, got the surrounding area dirty with grease and grime, and made no attempt to clean up after themselves. We were never told what was wrong with the washer or what parts were replaced. They didn’t even run the washer to confirm it worked—if they had, they would have immediately seen that it was actually worse than before. The washer began cycling on its own and we ultimately had to unplug it.
They were unable to return again until 11/7, and then finally came back on 11/20 to replace the circuit board. When my wife asked if he could please test the machine before leaving, the technician responded rudely, saying she was “freaking out” and that he didn’t have an hour to wait to check it. He didn’t have her sign anything, didn’t provide a work order, and showed no professionalism whatsoever. It took us less than ten minutes after he left to confirm the washer was still not fixed—lights blinking, settings not responding, and the machine not filling with more than a small amount of water.
For him to refuse to test the appliance, especially given the ongoing issues, was unacceptable. The workmanship, communication, and professionalism throughout this entire process have been consistently poor. After reading other reviews, it’s clear our experience is not unique. I honestly do not understand how AHS continues to contract with this company.
I would strongly caution anyone from using Antech Appliances based on what we experienced. -
⭐️ WARNING: Avoid Antech Appliances in Poway – Significant Damage & Zero Accountability
I normally do not leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others and also get the owner’s attention to resolve this situation.
My home warranty sent Antech Appliances in Poway to repair my dishwasher because it would not turn on. The experience has been extremely frustrating and has left my kitchen floor ruined.
What happened:
• The first technician was in and out in about 30 minutes and claimed the dishwasher was fixed.
• As soon as we ran it, water flooded out everywhere.
• I called repeatedly and finally got a second technician weeks later.
• He brought parts and spent more time, but after the first visit the water had already damaged my wood floors.
• I notified both the home warranty and the manager Steve, but could never actually reach him directly despite multiple emails, calls and messages.
• A couple weeks later, the leak continued and the damaged area on my kitchen floor became significantly worse.
Current situation:
My dishwasher is still leaking, and a large section of my kitchen flooring is now ruined. I am still unable to reach Steve or anyone who will take responsibility or even call me back.
Homeowners deserve honest communication and fair resolution — especially when a service provider causes damage. I am still asking the owner to contact me immediately so this can be resolved and my floors repaired. -
I had Silva And Sons Plumbing out yesterday to add a kitchen gas line (to convert stove from electric to gas) and repipe my 48 year old gas fireplace pipe. I couldn’t be happier with their work. Joey was very professional and really knows his business. They are licensed, came out a thousand dollars less than a previous estimate and are a local family owned company started by their grandfather. I’m thrilled for two reasons. I am now able to cook with gas plus I have found my new go to plumber. I highly recommend this business.

Great team, great service and even better people. Joey and Aryan do an amazing job and always have the customer in mind first. 5 star service.
