I had a great experience with Potter Electric. They did a main panel upgrade and EV charger outlet installation. Great communication from Jason. I had all my communication over phone calls, text, or email. I never had to meet with any of them in person to this day. I had a specific plan on what I wanted done. Jason was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He provided specs when I requested them so I could verify that's what I wanted before I accepted the proposal for the work. They were true to their commitment on the quoted job. They were respectful of the property, I just had someone available to give them access when needed. They did a good job overall and completed the work in a timely manner. The installations passed inspections.

A+ I am so thankful that we have a such a professional, fairly priced and knowledgeable Electrical company in our own neighborhood! Potter Electrc was priced better than some of the others in the area. Thank you, Jason! They care about our communities and it shows with their excellence of work quality! James of Potter Electric upgraded my panel to 220 and installed it in such a great way, considering the age of my property and the shingles and brought everything up to Code. I also really appreciate his interior electrical design recommendations and comprehensive work of upgrading my knob and tube electric in the cabin and getting it ready for further renovation. They are so kind and doing everything on my schedule because of other work that needs to be done. I just can’t say enough for how awesome Potter electric is… highly recommend!

Excellent electrical contractors. They installed level two charging stations, generator transfer switch, upgraded meter with meter relocation, rewire waterfall pump, additional 220 lines, additional service to several sheds, and converting from overhead to underground service. First and only time I had a stress free interaction with contractors. The owner and crew are honest and reliable. Clean and quality work all the way to job completion. Look no further than “Potter electric” for all your electrical needs.

We had a very good experience with Potter Electric, connecting an EV charger, removing an unneeded meter and installing ceiling fans. The entire process was professional and smooth, with Jaime and Caleb providing friendly and high quality work. We will definitely consider them for future work and strongly recommend them.

Jason and his team were excellent to work with. Jason was knowledgeable and even spotted potential issues before the project started that other electrical companies did not mention ensuring that the project was installed to code and our landlord was able to approve the work in our commercial office. I will use Potter Electric again if we ever have a need.

Great job done by a very stand-up company and crew. We suffered a tree falling into our house during the big Christmas Eve storm and it damaged our roof, as well as bending the weather head. Jamie and Caleb came out quickly and gave us a free quote for the weather head, as well as for an upgraded electrical panel, which turned out to be very old and had a recall some time ago. It added significantly to the cost, but the price was considerably less than a competing quote. They got to work right away and had us up and running inside of a day! I am particularly happy with their attention to detail and keeping us informed of the work completed. They even built some trim around the panel and painted it to match the house for a nice, finished look. Jamie and Caleb are total professionals and know their craft, but maintain a humble and friendly approach to customer service. My wife was working from home the day they did the work, and were considerate and accommodating during times when she was in a meeting-you don't see that every day! We couldn't ask for a better experience with them and would recommend them to anyone!

My experience with Potter Electric has been great. They did the initial electrical inspection and advised me the panel was dated, and although nothing was really wrong with it, the house itself was pretty much maxed out and a panel upgrade should be considered. After moving in, we noticed the forced air heater was on a circuit with many other electrical outlets, and had a similar issue with the bathrooms upstairs; it kept tripping the breakers. The first job they did was running new lines to accommodate these heavy draw appliances, as well as switching out and repairing some outlets and light switches inside. They showed up on time, the quality of work was very good, and the price was reasonable. The second time I had them come out was after the storm and power outage in Wrightwood. I had them put in a sub panel with a switch for the generator and they changed out a few more light switches. The communication has been good, the quote was again reasonable and I wasn't surprised when I got the final bill since we had them do some extra work while they were here. Both electricians, Jayme and Caleb were friendly, professional and we have not had any issues with quality of the work. I'll keep using them in the future and would recommend their services.

My house was needed to replace a new power line, it was a big project which required trenching from my house across street to install an electrical conduit and replace a new panel. Jason and his team was really professional and had the work done in 2 weeks! Also the quote he gave me is competitive saves me a lots of money on this project, and all the works are perfectly done, they double and triple check everything. I would say this is the company u can trust on work quality and never worry about pricing. I am going to use them in the future for any electrical problems for sure. Nice work teams!

The tech (Luciano) we had was awesome! He came in and had the issue fixed within 30mins. He joked around and had a great attitude! He let us know to reach out anytime if we had any further issues. Thank you guys!!

The electrician solved my problem on the first 5 minutes. Great experience. I will recommend this service to my friends!

He not only was able to fix my ceiling fan light so that it can turn on and off but he was able to inform me of issues with my fan. Though he was not able to fix the issue since it is not covered by my warranty he informed me of next steps that i can take to fix the wobbliness of my fan.

My City First Electric technician was prompt and thorough. He tested the electrical in three junctions, located and replaced the bad transformer, re-tested electrical at the three junctions, and my dead doorbell was resuscitated back to life….. good as new!

This company works with American Home Shield to deny claims if American Home Shield forwards you them request another company from American Home Shield they were in my house for 2 mins and reported phone damage to a 20 year old dryer booster fan. They are not worth letting in home.

I called them
For a repair with my Ceiling fans and they came the same day. Got it fixed and gave me a great price. I recommend this company any time for all your needs. -
Above and beyond is how I would rate our recent experience with Joseph from City First Electric. Joe heard me out prior to appointment regarding our electrical issue since he would be meeting with my husband and I was adamant on saying what I had been experiencing. Joe was all ears and even took the time to call me and debrief me after the appointment without a thought. Joe explained the work clearly and to top it off delivered a solution same day and no need to reschedule! Freaking fantastic! Thank you Joe, you are a blessing.

Sour grapes! We didn’t use their cheap ceiling fan so ANGEL lied on his technician report to American home shield that the fan had a pre-existing condition and a missing component when it didn’t! Very deceptive and dishonest!!!

Awesome and knowledgeable electrician. He solve my problem which required a bit of trouble shooting in a reasonable amount of time.

This is the WORST electric company. DO NOT CALL THEIR SERVICE! If you have home warranty and are assigned with their service, consider cancel it for your own good.
I had several malfunctioned GFCI switches at home so I called home warranty and was assigned with their service. A City First Electric electrician came,
1. He was careless enough to cause a short (and got electrocuted) that according to him (and he has also written in his report), resulted the neutral wire to short inside my dry wall and a connected GFCI switch to out of power.
2. He opened up my garage GFCI switch and somehow caused my entire garage to be out of power. Claiming it might be due to the short.
3. He exaggerated the severity of potential consequences the current circuitry in my house could bring, so to push me purchasing/replacing some breakers and busbar.
I later hired another 5 star electric company to redo the inspection.
1. Guess what, the short in my drywall DOES NOT EVEN EXIST. The GFCI switch worked as is. In their report, City First Electrician even has the AUDACITY to ask me $680 to open up the dry wall to fix the nonexisting short. They don't even patch the wall back.
2. The power outage in my garage was caused by the City First Electrician DID NOT CONNECT the GCFI switch properly after the inspection. For this I have to spend $500 to hire another electrician just to pick up their slack.
Their professionalism is a joke. I will talk to my home warranty company to never use their service. -
By far the best company. I had a problem with my garage lights. I called city first electric and they were here the next day and did the job that needed to be done. Very reliable and would recommend to everyone that needs work to be done. Thank you for your awesome job.

Bob did a great job taking care of electrical issues!
Thank you! -
Can't say enough bad things about this company. Hired them to replace 30 electrical switches in my mother-in-laws house. The "electrician" arrived with the wrong color switches and had to spend 3 hours trying to locate the correct ones Unable to find enough of the right color he put the wrong color switches in saying it would be too hard to find the correct color. He had to read the directions to be install the switches and did not get 2 pole switches so we could turn on the light from multiple locations. On top of that he go approval from my 81 year old mother-in-law for an additional $200 for more switches that he could not identify when I asked him to. Was there until 6:00 pm and all we wanted him to do was leave. When called for the additional payment I told them how unhappy I was; all they did was ask for my credit card number. Hire someone else. These guys are horrible.
