Electrical reviews in Rancho Cucamonga, California

The technician was great. He really worked the problem. Was able to fix it all though he couldn’t find the exact cause. Very reliable and on time. The company kept us up to date on when they would arrive and contacted us 15 minutes before they were coming. Great service!!!

Watch out for the trap!!!
Our Home Warranty Insurance assigned them to find the issue and fix the tripping circuit breaker. It took them 2-weeks to replace a $20 part in 5 minute.
First they made sure the Home Warranty Insurance does not cover the repairs. They reported to the Insurance system needed upgrade which does not covered by Insurance.
Next they stopped taking our calls to entice us for their service since we had already paid $100 to the Home Warranty Insurance and there was no going back.
Finally, after 10-days passed the electrician called and said he would do the job next week. They asked to receive $125 first.
Today they sent another "electrician" to replace the circuit breaker, which he did in 5-minutes.
Right after They kept calling to get the final $125 right away.
We asked for the invoice to see what type of upgrade they did.
The supervisor called and said they were not supposed to do an upgrade. They must only replace with the same part.
So we ended up paying $100 to the Insurance and $250 to these guys for a $20 part and a 5-minute job that took them 2-weeks to do. -
City First was contracted through our home warranty company and we're very happy with their service. They were prompt and communicative and got the work done in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone.

Having an elder home, I’ve called electrician out several times over the years. City First Electric is reliable, efficient and knowledgeable. My service tech took care of my issues quickly and efficiently and gave me additional information. They will be my first call every time.
-
I greatly recommend this company, because the electricians are very fast to solve your problems with ease

City First Electric was extremely professional and personable. From first notification to job completion, our technician couldn’t have been better. He explained why our electrical issue occurred and what was needed to fix it. He welcomed me watching his work as he corrected the hardware mismatch between initial construction and up to date newer lighting products. His conversation was easy and pleasant BUT mostly informative.
We couldn’t have been happier with City First Electric. -
Fidelity Home Warranty sent City First to our rental property to diagnose a problem. Fidelity told us that the breaker is incompatible with the panel and will not cover the work. Not sure how that can be as the breaker and panel are made by the same manufacturer and it's worked fine for a very long time. So we've now left 4 messages over the course of 4 days with City First to please have their electrician call my husband, a retired general contractor, to explain further and NO ONE HAS RETURNED OUR NUMEROUS CALLS. My last phone conversation with them was 45 minutes ago and I was assured the manager would call my husband within minutes. Well, 45 mins later, no call. Would not recommend.

City First Electric was fantastic from start to finish! Abdallah, the technician, was courteous and knowledgeable and kept me informed every step of the way. He fixed my problem and a couple I didn't even know I had....all for what I think is a very reasonable rate.

We had City First Electric come out through home warranty. In past, we have had some really bad experience going through home warranty but City First was def an exception. Bassem came out and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was able to diagnosis the problem very quickly and fixed it on the spot.

I was happy that my ceiling fan was replaced and covered by American Home Shield but it took several weeks to get the item and schedule the repair.
-
Tim was excellent, efficient, knew a ton about wiring and quick to fix a few things in one stop!! I highly recommend him and City First!!
-
Oh my - avoid this company!!!
They were assigned my claim by Fidelity Home Warranty and responded immediately - diagnosed the ceiling fan motor was dead and then the disappointment began.
The communication between them and my home warranty was almost non- existent.
I had to push for reports to be submitted and finally a month later they dispatched Angel to install the ceiling fan. Angel was decent but the fan didn’t have the 16 inch drop like the previous fan- all it needed was an extra rod that I could easily have purchased. The final installation is a fan on a sloped ceiling that’s crooked - the unit isn’t parallel to the floor. They blame it on the “junction box” and had the home warranty company try to upsell me on a $350 upgrade to change out my junction box. I’ve had a working fan there for 5 years - it’s not the junction box folks- it’s the fan…..I’ve now had to file a complaint with the CA Insurance Commissioner and will have to have this crooked fan uninstalled - I’m not sure who disappointed me more - this company or my home warranty was- jeez ….can you hear me roll my eyes?
And as I scroll through other reviews, I see that City First Electric and Fidelity Home Warranty have a few complaints - I’m not the only one. -
Do not use company! Had a house Warrenty claim and got denied do to technician not knowing his job! Simple job service switch melted was a 60amp service switch not fused! Tech told Warrenty company that it needed to be a 30amp switch that’s why it melted makes no sense 60amp switch was totally code and can be hire rated as long a breaker and water heater match . So tech did not know that and got my whole claim denied. Insurance claimed wrong service switch caused water heater to break lol. Turns out wire at breaker was lose and caused the over heat.they wanted $375 to upgrade my switch out of pocket. Cost me 30 dollars at Home Depot. Called manager multiple times and no call back! Don’t use them!
