Construction Company reviews in Riverside, California

After they finish the job, if you find something wrong and call to get them to come back out to fix the problem it will take months or not at all, not even a call back.

This company was contracted by my insurance company to fix drywall, floors and bathroom vanities due to a plumbing leak. While I have only minor issues with the work that was done, I have a MAJOR issue with the way they are handling my money.

I wanted to add on to the insurance claim to have them replace the floor in my kitchen; I figured since they were already there, they might as well. Received a quote, signed a change order to the original claim, wrote them a check, that was that. Was told they wouldn’t get started on the extra work until the insurance claim was finished. Fine, no problem. On the scheduled day of demo, project manager calls and says they would have to cut cabinets in order to put in floor. I decided not to have them go through with the demo so they didn’t damage anything in the kitchen. Here’s where the fun begins…

The next change order was to rescind the previous change order and a send a refund back to me for the amount paid. Signed, sent back. Should be a simple transaction: I paid you, you didn’t complete the service, you send me my money back. This was in November 2022. I have spoken to the account manager (and office manager) Lisa 20-25 times since the change order was signed to be refunded and she gives me the same run around answer: “the president of the company needs to sign off on it and then I can write the check.” Seems pretty simple.

Nothing has been done. I have called numerous times, even gone down to the office to speak to Lisa in person, to which she declined to speak with me. I have threatened legal action if this is not resolved soon. For anybody else in a similar situation, I have provided their business information, which is all public record:

CA Construction responded to a water leak at my property. They where quick to responded and fast to perform the repairs and get everything completed. Dylon was fast at getting an estimate approved through my insurance and Darreld was quick and coordinating the repairs

Full kitchen rebuild needed after a pipe burst. Darreld and his team did an amazing job helping navigate insurance, changes and additions I wanted, and all the steps in between. Darreld kept me well informed and both he and Dylon responded quickly to any questions.

I’m so grateful for This company CA construction my whole living room was torn apart with water damage . They came in and took over redid my walls tile on my fireplace and my floors look beautiful. The customer service from my project manager Darell was some of the best I’ve ever experienced.he is polite helpful and I could go on... hire them for whatever home project and you will be glad you did... CA construction came out right away when we had a leak under our dishwasher. They immediately started the drying process for us to try and save our cabinets and prevent mold. Steven and his team were so courteous and professional. They showed up on time every day to check on the process and kept us updated. I highly recommend CA construction if you’ve got water damage. I had the pleasure of working with Davis when my house flooded. He was very helpful, friendly, and professional with the whole process. I hope CA Construction sees this review and gets Darryl going on our project. We hired them from the positive reviews and our insurance recommendation. We found a water leak on February 27, 2022 and hired CA Construction the first week of March 2022. It is now the 22 of April and NO WORK has started even after they were paid to purchase materials. The office lady is nice, but that’s all I can say positive about this company. We have been in a local hotel for 44 days and at this rate it might be summer before we can move in. Totally disgusted! Where is the rest of the construction workers?

Very satisfied with the work that CA Construction performed at my home. They redid my entire floor from my living room and kitchen. Darreld was very professional and I could tell he is experienced in this field. He had a great response and answer to my many questions. What a great company for when the unexpected happens! We had a water pipe in our upstairs bathroom blow, and flooded the whole house. Davis was the best during this emergency, getting the pipe repaired and water removal, letting us know CA Construction would help us through the whole process of insurance claims, and all of the repairs. Dylon worked with our insurance company after estimating all the repairs for the flooding and got everything approved and handled without any stress on my family. Brian and his crew were the best!!! Extremely professional and quick. We had one delay when the tile we were replacing in the bathroom was on backorder, but Brian showed us some other options and we found one that we've been wanting to do for awhile for the same price! We're looking at remodeling out kitchen next year, and will definitely be calling CA Construction!

My house flooded and I contacted CA Construction. Not knowing what to expect since this was the first time I've had this happen, I was contacted by Davis. He was very professional and informative of what the process would entail. He was able to answer all my questions and put me at ease that I was in good hands. He assured me that his guys would do a great job. He was right! I was very happy with the end results. Davis was very knowledgeable and would even check in with me to make sure everything was going ok and kept me up to date as to what would be happening. Davis is an outstanding asset to your company. I am writing to provide a review of work performed by CA Construction at my home in Riverside during April - June, 2019. The project began as mitigation and repair of damage caused by a plumbing leak in my home office. Repairs of the leaky pipe below the foundation slab along with drywall and baseboard replacement went smoothly and without problems. The project expanded when I decided to replace carpet in the office and living room with porcelain tile and re-do baseboard in several additional rooms. During these early stages of the project, project supervisors Justin Lee and Darin Kinney provided high quality project planning and coordination. As I was unsure of the specific tile to use for this job, I found the advice of assigned tilers Leonardo Gutierrez and Guillermo Gallegos to be extremely helpful. They accompanied me to several tile shops and provided expert guidance on the final choice of tile. They proceeded with the installation, maintaining an extremely high level of professionalism and skill. These individuals were solicitous and cooperative at every stage of the job, including helping with choice of grout, waterproofing, etc. I was so impressed with the workmanship of Leo and Guillermo that I decided to expand the scope of the project even further to the back porch of my property. My trust in CA Construction, Justin, Leonardo, and Guillermo was richly justified in the end, as they completed installation of the back porch project in a very beautiful way. The end result of this series of projects conducted by CA Construction and their wonderful engineers has convinced me that I contracted with a very high quality organization. I already have recommended CA Construction to my neighbors. Thanks to all in this company who contributed to the beautification of my home.

This is my second time using this company, unfortunately I got a horrible project manager this time. Darrell was hard to reach and when he did respond I felt like an inconvenience for him to address any issues I had. He never came by the house to check on an issue for repeat discrepancies. I only seen him when it was time to collect a check. He did a poor job on the final walk through and didn’t notice a bad paint job, bathroom sink, and dish washer not properly installed. My bathroom sink was leaking and I had call his supervisor to get this issue resolved. I also called my bank to reverse the payment to ensure the work was properly done. I also noticed a crack in my brand new flooring when I was cleaning and reported it to the company so it can be fixed. Instead of coming to check out the crack he blamed the crack on something being dropped on the floor and refused to properly address the issues. His go to phrase his “The final walk through was already done.” As he failed to notice my sink wasn’t properly connected but some how he was supposed to notice a crack in light gray floors.

I’m very satisfied with the work that CA Construction performed at my home. They redid my entire floor and kitchen after a horrible water leak. CA construction did a excellent job with the repairs at my home and I would recommend them to anyone needing their services. The team of Davis Dylan and Darrell were outstanding. They were very professional, always on time, and courteous. It was nice to see that a company still we’re doing quality work and very professional. I had water escape into my ceiling. This never happened before. In an emergency, dependability is key. CA Construction came out right away. Very committed. They helped dry my ceiling with their equipment and assured that the ceiling would not collapse overnight. I was able to sleep knowing that my family was safe. Steve was the person that came and he was very nice and calming. I have spoken to Robert as well. He is very personable as well. This kind of customer service is rare these days. Great company. Unfortunately, I bought a condo just over a year ago and have had 2 instances of water damage from the upstairs restroom down into the first floor. I originally worked with a company that the plumber recommended and even though they were nice and professional, they refused to finish the work until the insurance company paid out more money. My insurance company said the money they already paid that company was supposed to cover all the work so instead of battling with that company, they referred me to a list of contractors they work with and CA Construction was one they highly recommended. They did such great, quick work the first time that this second time around I knew immediately I wanted to work with them again. And they did not disappoint! The work done looks beautiful, all the workers were friendly, and Daryl (project manager) was extremely helpful and patient with us. He was easy to reach and always answered back in a timely manner. I would definitely work with them again.
