Avoid First Class Plumbing and AC — Get a Second Opinion Before Spending Thousands

I had a very disturbing experience with First Class Plumbing and AC.

Two of their technicians came to inspect my air conditioner. One of them was named Chris. They told me that my AC system needed to be replaced and quoted me approximately $13,500. I was also told that the existing unit was too small for the size of my house.

Fortunately, I did not accept their recommendation and called another AC company for a second opinion.

The second company found that the problem was simply a bad capacitor. They replaced it for approximately $350, and my air conditioner has been working like a charm ever since.

Think about the difference: $13,500 for a new system versus $350 to fix the actual problem.

Based on my experience, I would not trust a recommendation from First Class Plumbing and AC without getting at least a second or even third opinion. I came very close to spending more than $13,000 unnecessarily for a system replacement when all my AC needed was a capacitor.

Consumers should be extremely cautious before agreeing to an expensive replacement simply because a technician tells you your entire system is bad or undersized. Get another opinion first. It saved me thousands of dollars.

I was a little worried about the timetable, because other jobs had gone over budget, but this crew was able to complete the ventilated ceiling installation in under four hours. They found a little duct issue that was overlooked during my initial assessment and repaired it free of charge.

Gerardo did an excellent job unclogging my toilet. He was friendly, professional, and very respectful throughout the entire process. He showed up ready to work, quickly figured out the issue, and got everything working properly again. It’s always great to have someone who is not only knowledgeable at what they do but also genuinely nice and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Gerardo to anyone needing a reliable plumber!

We had a wonderful experience with Juan. Our water heater broke and he came out to give us an estimate. He was very thorough and professional. The water heater was promptly replaced the following day. We were very relieved and happy that we found a great company. We highly recommend Juan and appreciate his hard work.

We go to these guys for everything, they're always professional, dependable and hard working. We had to replace piping in our yard, they finished in a day, no damage and cleaned up afterwards. Juan, Oscar, and Guillermo are life savers, they were so helpful. Great work and fair price would recommend.

I had a leaking water heater. I called Hiniker Pluming. I found through using chatgpt. The serviceman that cam out was the best man I have talked to in a long time. I loved the service. Same day service at that. It didnt take more that 2 1/2 hours. Dealing with my tight situation. They made it work.

Guillermo was great. We have old pipes that constantly back up. He came out, gave us a couple of suggestions and we went with having our drains/pipes jetted. He did a great job. We couldn’t be happier

We've had a persistent problem of roots getting into one of our pipes and clogging it. Water would back up in the shower or the toilet. Each time we would have someone remove the toilet and use a snake to clear out the roots. This time we finally decided to fix the problem and replace the pipe. Gary and Donell from Hiniker Plumbing came out and explained all of our options. They also spent a lot of time examining our system to see what option made the most sense.

This was a big job as the only way to access the pipe was thru the tile floor and jackhammering thru the concrete. Donell and his assistant did a fantastic job. They spent 10 hours on one of the hottest days of the year doing this grueling work.

The price waa very reasonable for the work that was done. I will use them again for any plumbing issues in the future.

Mr. Rooter was able to schedule my plumbing emergency within hours on a friday night. The technician Jordan was great! Very professional and knowledgeable. Able to explain and show the issues and provide options and estimates for repair. Also discussed resources for companies that deal with water damage repairs and checked my water pressure to my house. Explained the Smart Water system and how it could be helpful to my home and insurance. He was able to fix/replace my plumbing issue and save my weekend. Thank you Jordan and Mr. Rooter for the fast and excellent service at a reasonable rate.

Our first-time experience with Jim & Sons Plumbing & Rooter was excellent and we will definitely use them again. Our service guy (whose name I, unfortunately, have forgotten) was courteous, informative, efficient and got the job done in such a way that we hope, if the faucet loosens again, it will be easier to fix. Daniel arrived and gave a true and honest assessment on what a bandaid fix would look like, a partial fix or a full overhaul. Called Leslie and she got Ozzy out same day! Had an old school shower set up in chrome with 2 handles that was dripping all day and night long. Ozzy came in and upgraded it to this quality sleek black single handle set up! He was very respectful of our property and time, answered all questions, and was very nice! Will definitely recommend and call them back with all our plumbing needs!

I suspected a leak from a water supply pipe entering my home. The technician who arrived, Justin, assured me that he could detect no leaks. His honesty was more than enough to earn a five-star rating.

On time, reliable, and fair pricing. I had a problem with my area drain, it was completely clogged up from roots, dirt rocks, and toys that my kids had shoved down into the drain covers. Most companies refused to come out and gave me really expensive quote, and would not guarantee their work due to the type of work it was.

Gerardo came out, was fair in his pricing, that realistic expectations, and told me he would know within an hour if he would be able to complete the job or not.

The job ended up being much harder than originally thought, but they were able to pull out several large roots and get my drains, cleaned and clear.

The worker who showed up was extremely nice and polite. However, being charged the excessive fee for just putting in one water valve for an ice maker was hard enough. But the work he did was so substandard, It was hard to believe with respect to the charge! I don't know if this would pass an inspection. Question, would I use this company again or recommend them to a friend, NO! Not ever. Look at the pictures you can see how uneven and off center everything is.
