I’m Facilities Manager for Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church. After this year’s heavy rain season we ended up with 5 areas with significant water damage. After searching for a trusted com to do the mitigation and reconstruction, Orange Restoration was the company with best reviews. I called a few of the customers with similar reconstructed jobs and their feedback was optimistic.
Pedro Santos was the project manager for the mitigation. He offered a detailed spreadsheet of the scope of work. OR employees were very polite to everyone at church. They followed our policies. They covered each worksite with a heavy screen to limit dust. They also placed plastic from each entrance door to the work station to protect our flooring. Pedro and I had a daily review of the work. The task was completed one day short of the estimated completion date.
Due to such a pleasant experience with OR we went back to OR to do the reconstruction.
Will McNutt was the project manager. This guy knows his business! He comes with years of experience. He presented a proposal that included installing insulation, drywall, texture, light fixtures, replace a sink and paint each area to match existing colors. Will’s crew was professional in their work. They too cleaned up each area daily until the reconstruction was completed. They were focused and committed to excel in their job.
Will followed up with me on a regular basis and we did a pre-construction meeting as well as a final walkthrough of each area to assure they had completed according to the contract.
I highly recommend you trusting a reconstruction job to Orange Restoration.

I cant say enough good things about Dean and the Orange Restoration crew (John and Hector), and the work they did to rebuild my kitchen after some water damage caused by my upstairs neighbor at my condo. I do not recommend. The quality of work and management are poor.

Initial conversations with Andrew were promising and pleasant. He sounded like he knew what and how needed to be done. He knew about all challenges of the project and was ready to address them all (us living in the house during remodeling was one of them). Unfortunately, working with Andrew was a very stressful and unpleasant experience. He doesn't know how to treat customers, gets very offensive, rude. His workers are unprofessional, lazy, and have to be supervised by the customer at all times, otherwise work needs to be redone or fixed. Andrew was not on the project regularly and sometimes it took 3-4 days before he came to the house to check on the progress. As a result the project was stretched for an unnecessary few more weeks. One of Andrew's responses about poor scheduling jobs: some weeks the workers worked 2 days, some 1.5 day/week, he said: "I'm a freelancer, and don't have any commitment to have 8 hours daily on your project". He didn't care that his workers didn't clean after the day of work, and left us for days (weekends included) in the middle of an unnecessary mess. We were very concerned about quality of the floor installation and he was trying to convince us that it's standard and the floor will " settle" in a couple of weeks, When almost all the floor was installed ( a small area in the living room was left to finish) and we asked him the check the quality of the installation before installing the floorboard, Andrew announced to us the he is stopping the project (after 6 weeks of work) and will send us a new quote to redo the floor! There was no way we would spend more time and money and have him and his workers to do that. Just because we were exhausted physically and mentally by Andrew, we asked him to finish the project. We have a "jumping" floor all over the house which will be a bad reminder of this contractor. Don't wish this on anyone! Stay away from hiring Andrew and Ucon Design and Remodeling.

When we started our construction project, we knew we needed a good contractor to handle our cabinet needs. Then, we found Ucon Design and Remodeling company – and they are just what we hoped for. They offered up various excellent design options and were friendly, professional, and responsive all through. We got custom cabinets of impressive quality, and more importantly, at great prices. The finishing was also very nice, and they really paid attention to details. Considering that we have worked with other cabinet makers in the past, we appreciate the value Ucon Design and Remodeling offered. We will love to work with them again.

We researched and evaluated several different companies that have similar products and services, but we are extremely glad that we selected UCON Design & Remodeling for our kitchen cabinets’ installation. A highly experienced team provided outstanding professional service. The design of the kitchen was done by another company; so, the installers’ team from UCON Design & Remodeling needed to follow the design and even correct some issues encountered with the cabinets along the way during the installation. We just finished a kitchen remodel with UCON Design & Build and it was an outstanding experience. UCON was referred to us by the project manager for LEICHT Architectural Kitchens. Even though we've done many kitchen remodels in the past with rental properties, we knew we needed a team that can handle a very sophisticated kitchen design with complicated features and lighting. UCON was definitely up to the task. Andriy was always quick to respond and follow up. Their installation team was always on time, courteous and stayed on task until the installation was completed which had to happen in two phases. The first phase was before the stone counter installation and the second phase had to be done after the stone counters were in place to install the stove top and accent lighting. Both times, their team showed up early and on time. At the end of each day, they would also cleaned up beautifully before heading home. After the installation was completed, a minor issue arose and Andriy was quick to respond and sent his crew back to us within 48 hours to address the problem. I would not hesitate to refer them to others for a clean, thorough and professional job.
