We had only planned on spending 8 to 12,000 dollars to get our house painted. We painted our entire house 22 years ago our selves for less than 1000 dollars. We spoke to the Precision Contracting representative named Bob at the Del Mar Fair in June. He said that for our 1600 sq foot house we would probably pay around 10,000 dollars for a Tex Kote paint job which was right in our price range, so we signed up for a consultation. When Tony showed up a few weeks later to give us a quote, he told us that it would be $23,000. We were shocked! I asked him if they didn't do the back patio cover, what would it cost. After going back and forth he finally said they could do it for $18,000. They finally started the paint job in August. After trenching, pressure-washing and covering the doors, windows, and shrubs, the painter applied the primer. The brochure says that a thick coat of Coolwall Primer is applied and inspected for proper thickness. When the painter was finished priming we noticed areas that seemed too thin because you could still see the paint underneath. When we pointed this out, he said that it was fine so we contacted a supervisor to come over and check his work, which we shouldn't have had to. The supervisor told him to add more primer. The painter worked alone for most of the job and only had a helper the last 2 days of the project. No one came to check his work unless we contacted them first, which we needed to do no less than 8 times. Even the last day of touch-up we asked someone to come and look at the many areas that still needed to be fixed. He asked us to walk around and point out the places that needed touch-up. We should NOT have had to do that. Those areas should be noticed and fixed by the painter automatically. They are the supposed professionals, not us. After a couple weeks I began putting the rain gutter down-spouts back up. I barely touched the trim with the metal pipes and paint was knocked off down to the primer. This happened in two different places. The same thing happened when I bumped the corner of the garage trim with a plastic trash can. This was very disappointing since the TEX-KOTE is advertised to last 50 years.
Overall we were disappointed with the job. We believe it was overpriced by $3000 or more. The job should have been supervised and more than one painter should have been used for the entire project. We recommend getting several different quotes before deciding on Precision General Contracting.

I had Precision General Contracting install solar for my home and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and I’m really happy with how everything turned out.

Precision General Contracting installed pavers in my front yard along with new Anlin windows. The workmanship was very impressive, and everything was completed on schedule. Chris and Eric both visited the site to ensure quality control, which gave me confidence. Communication was clear and efficient. Overall, a very dependable company.

We are very satisfied with the planning, communication, workmanship, quality and timely completion. We had to demolish a 60 year old shed, remove it's crumbling slab and then create a high quality slab for some Tuff Sheds. This was the third time we had PGC perform work 8 years ago for solar, mini-split A/Cs and Hardyboard siding.

I had a great experience with Precision General Contracting when they did my roof. The team was professional, efficient, and the finished roof looks amazing—I couldn’t be happier with the quality of their work.

Our house was due for a full exterior refresh, new siding, windows, and a roof replacement, and I honestly dreaded the chaos. But the project manager made everything surprisingly smooth. He called regularly, sent progress updates, and even caught a small design detail we’d missed on the color scheme. The crew worked quickly, respected our space, and finished right on schedule. Now, months later, neighbors keep asking who we used. The transformation still amazes us every time we pull into the driveway.

We finally replaced our old patio cover and went with a Four Seasons system recommended by the team at Precision General Contracting. I worked mostly with Jenny, who is an absolute gem—super responsive and always cheerful. Eric’s crew built it so cleanly and quickly that even my neighbors commented on the craftsmanship. We now spend every evening out there!

Five stars, no hesitation! Carly is awesome—super friendly and organized. Eric and his crew installed our new Anlin windows in just a couple of days, and the difference in noise reduction is insane. Bob set up the appointment quickly, and Adrian helped us get financing that actually fit our budget. Highly recommend PGD!

I had an amazing experience with Precision General Contracting from start to finish. Gene set up my initial consultation and was so patient answering all my questions. We ended up going with Owens Corning shingles for our roof and Hardie siding for the whole exterior. Jenny kept me updated throughout the project, and Chris, the production manager, made sure every detail was perfect. Our house looks brand new. Truly top-tier service.

    .zero stars if I could!!
I had a terrible experience with this company. It took two weeks to receive my roof certification by email, and another week before anyone even came out to take pictures.
When the tech arrived, he said I would be called within a day to schedule repairs. Two days passed with no call. After multiple attempts to call (their phone always goes to voicemail), the certificate finally arrived—but no follow-up call.
When they finally did call back, I asked to schedule the repair. The person apologized for the delay and said someone would call to set it up. Still no call and I had someone else call me within 15 minutes from another company and confirmed he’ll be back Monday to fix the roof, which he said is an easy job.
To make matters worse, Precision wanted to charge $700 for this service. Worst experience ever — run away from this company!!

Originally hired to install windows. Great experience. We then looked at them to install new roof and solar panels. We started contracting at end on July 2025. Roof installed by September with solar panels. Been told several times that solar will be operational within a week only to fly by those estimated schedule. They have blamed SDGE, but when the inspector showed up in November, they did not follow the drawings on grounding, and the inspection failed. Been asking for a schedule since November and have not gotten a straight answer. Then in December, the contractor did not fasten down sky light and wind took it away for a ride, causing my outdoor area to get water damage. They installed a new skylight and fastened it down this time. We are now near end of February 2026 and still have no answer for when I will be able to use my solar panels. If I had known solar was a racket I would not have tried to get in before the change of law end of year 2025. Terrible experience and recommend others looking for roofing contractors to go elsewhere.

We had a great experience with Precision General Contracting on our whole house remodel. They installed an Owens Corning roof, James Hardie siding, new windows, and a beautiful deck, and everything turned out fantastic. The team was professional, communicative, and detail-oriented from start to finish. If you're looking for a reliable contractor for a full home remodel, roofing, siding, windows, or deck construction, I highly recommend Precision General Contracting.

Precision General Contracting did an excellent job installing our James Hardie siding, and the results look fantastic. Their team took the time to explain our options and how they follow best practices in their installation process. We were so impressed by their attention to detail throughout. Everyone was pleasant and easy to work with from start to finish, including their office staff, who helped us begin our project right away. I’d recommend Precision General Contracting to any of my loved ones, especially for James Hardie siding!

PCG has been great. They installed our solar 12 years ago and continue to check in on us when they saw an issue with our reporting device. So glad they sent Chris out to help get us back online. We are very appreciative for the great customer service and great products. We also had a roof done by them too! Thanks to everyone at PCG. Larry and Denise S

The Precision team did full window replacements from Anlin in my home. The entire process was smooth. The install was terrific, they were in and out in a single day. The windows are gorgeous. I highly recommend them if you are in search of new windows for your home! They also did a roof relay which was also a great investment.

I hired Precision to take on my roof repair, add solar and batteries in Encinitas, CA, based on a coworker recommendation. They were fantastic from the quoting process, answering all my questions, were reasonably well-priced, and offered financing via Wheelhouse Credit Union. The roofing and installation was fast and great communication throughout. I had some follow-up questions and needed some minor support, but they were so friendly and responsive each time. I highly recommend this company.

Precision General Contracting did a phenomenal job for us. We had a very complex wall/fence that was a challenge since there was such an elevation difference between us and our neighbors. The firm handled those complexities exceptionally well and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Their workers were always professional, friendly and talented! Will use Precision General Contracting again for sure!

We had a fantastic experience with Precision General Contracting. They installed a Trex deck, Hardie siding, and Belgard pavers at our home in Lakeside and everything turned out great. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really show in the finished project.

Our production manager, Eric, was fantastic throughout the entire process. He was professional, communicative, and made sure everything stayed on track. Carly in the office was also amazing—super helpful, organized, and always quick to respond whenever we had questions.

Overall we’re extremely happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend Precision General Contracting to anyone looking for quality work and a professional team.

Precision General contracting did an amazing job with a very unique plan we had for a large backyard deck and cement patio beneath it. This was a challenging job due to the slope in our yard and access to the yard. Precision General got the job done! They consistently communicated with us throughout the project and any time we had questions they responded immediately. Most importantly they showed up every day! They did an amazing job and we now have a beautiful deck and patio we enjoy everyday! We thoroughly enjoyed working with Precision General and highly recommend them for any construction job you may have!
