What an awful experience we had with Precision. They were tasked with redoing the siding and updating the patios/balconies in our four story townhomes. The project started in September 2024 and was supposed to end by January 2025, that was not the case. All these units are owned by lovely tenants and the unit I lived in was owned by a good friend and I lived there for years but felt zero respect from their team.

I ended up moving across country end of March 2025 and the project still was not done. I called/emailed/left messages with Erics assistant to make sure no workers were on the property a few days up until my move, and I guess that was too hard to do. I tried to tell them to be done for the day and the workers were very rude. I never felt more disrespected especially for a project that was supposed to be done four months prior.

Thats not all though, when they went to paint the siding, they sealed all the windows and doors (even locked us in our home when we had to leave the house). This is not a biggie to have windows sealed for a few days which is what they said but it ended up being a MONTH! I spoke to Eric directly asking if his team can remove the seals after 2 weeks of them up and he said I can go ahead and do it myself. Our townhome is THREE stories high. What an absolute joke. So I removed the seals from the first floor, grabbed some of their tools and ladders to get the seal off from my air conditioner on the third floor so I can use my A/C, which could have been a liability on them if anything happened.

I spoke to our HOA and the workers and Eric saying that all the seals need to be redone anyways since it rained a few days in that month and that of course didn’t happen either.

Anyways, not even done yet. The workers destroyed our property every day they came to the house. (I will say the workers the first couple months of the project were lovely but apparently they were going too slow so they kicked them off the project - but the house at least looked nice from September to November). But anyways these new workers left soda cans all over the property, killed all our plants, broke all our signs, left debris all over the place, broke our gate (I don’t know how many packages got stolen once this happened but I felt like every other package I got I had to report as missing), and more. They also were disrespectful knowing I worked from home and would blast their music by my third story window where I would have to ask them over and over again to stop.

Also, I likely leave my house one time a day at different hours when I work from home and 75% of the time when I left no one was working, I would see them watching videos on the phone and their excuse always was oh its my lunch break. So apparently they had lunch at 10am and 3pm and all hours around then. No wonder why the project was already four months over when I moved out. I could not get out of that house quicker.

All in all. If you want respect and good work, this is not the company. They are very flashy and can make sales but once they get your money they will do as they please.

Helped sell a family member's house and the roof was definiately showing age. The shingles were getting curly, the gutters were filled with granules, it looked streaky and dull. We knew it needed to be replaced before hitting the market and Precision General Contracting was amazing! Thye made the entire process surprisingly smooth and quick. From the first inspection on, they were patient and explained everything to us. They gave us several options and the entire team was professional, efficient and all in all did an amazing job protecting the rest of the property during the tear off and during the installation. It looks so great and we're happy to be able to hand the keys to the new owners with the peace of mind that the roof will last them a long time and hopefully they'll love this house as much as our family did over the years. The new roof sure helps. :)

Worthless waste of time!

Don’t be fooled by the fancy website and claims of hundreds of 5-star reviews from satisfied customers. These guys are totally unprofessional and should be avoided at all costs. I am just happy that I figured out the kind of operation they are before potentially awarding them any work. My subsequent reading of their reviews on various online sites paints a further negative sentiment of this company.

I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to have someone come out to a second home we have in Mission Bay, and quote on installing a panoramic/folding door which I was supplying. A couple of days prior to the appointment I received a call confirming the appointment and was told that an estimator would meet me at my home at 10am on the day of the appointment.

On the day of the appointment, I had to make a special trip to the property and even went out of my way to arrange parking for the estimator (parking in Mission Bay is tough at the best of times and this was also during the week of 4th of July). At 10:15am I receive a text from Anthony informing me 'I had a note to give you a call regarding a panoramic door you were looking for information about. You can reach me at xxx-xxx-xxxx' When I told him that I had a confirmed appointment for someone to be at my property to quote on an installation of a door, I was told that they were 'backed up for the day' and did not have an estimator to come to my property!! He then proceeded to make up some fake story that I requested a call when someone was actually on their way to the property, which is absolute nonsense! Why would I confirm a very SPECIFIC appointment time a couple of days earlier but also request a call when someone was on the way?

Not only did they waste half a day of my time making a special trip to the property to meet one of their estimators, but when they don’t show up, and don’t have any idea what the customer has requested the appointment for, they start making things up to weasel their way out if their commitments. I am happy I figured these guys out for what they are sooner rather than later. If you cannot show up for a confirmed appointment, that is a good indication of the quality of work a company will produce and the experience you will have as a customer.

PGC did an amazing job on my home’s exterior with new paint, gutters, and a roof replacement. The paint looks flawless, the gutters blend perfectly, and the roof was replaced on time with great attention to detail.

The team was professional, efficient, and kept me informed throughout the process. They respected my property and left the work area spotless. My home looks incredible, and I’ve received so many compliments already!

Had Precision General Contracting out for a new roof and solar system install. They used Owens Corning shingles and set us up with Enphase microinverters and batteries. Everything went pretty smoothly—no major hiccups, and the crew knew what they were doing. System’s up and running, looks solid, and the house is ready for the next power outage. All in all, good experience.

They did a great roofing job! They were very professional and had great customer service :)

We had two retaining walls built in our backyard using rock wall paving stones. It looks amazing it is beautiful and extremely functional as it is keeping my hill from eroding. The workers were on time worked hard got the job done when they said they would the only drawback was they didn’t speak a lot of English and I didn’t speak Spanish but gosh darn it we made it work and we understood each other. Again amazing job looks good and is the start to our new.

We had Precision General Contracting work on our home in Chula Vista, and we couldn’t be happier! They installed a beautiful new patio cover, energy-efficient windows, and a solid new roof—and everything turned out amazing. It’s like our home got a little glow-up!

Big thanks to Eric, Jeff, and Chris for making the whole process smooth and stress-free. They were always on top of things and super helpful every step of the way. And a special shoutout to Carly at the office—she was an absolute gem, always cheerful and quick to answer our (many!) questions.

Our entire experience was effortless beginning with the phone contact with Adrian laying out specifics regarding what our needs are and would entail, and the amazingly Prompt start date, to the touch base from Carly (sp), who kept us apprised on all levels regarding our project. The communication with Precision was phenomenal. Work began immediately with the ever meticulous Roberto, who showed up early, worked tirelessly each day and ensured, prior to departure, a thorough clean up. Day 2 we met Eric who introduced himself and stopped by to see how the project was going and if we had any questions he would be happy to answer - very professional and upbeat - huge plus for us! Last remaining days (3), Hector, the roofing specialist was on the scene with Roberto. The two worked tirelessly, were very meticulous and precise, and did final clean up - leaving us extremely happy that we chose PRECISION CONSTRUCTION to do our project. We thank each and every one in that company for the stunning job they did, above all, for checking in with us throughout this process.

We had the best experience working with Precision General Contracting. They were very reasonable in price, top notch service they always kept us up to date on what was being done. Chris was very communicative at all times. We had solar and HVAC done with them and couldn’t be happier. If you need a licensed knowledgeable contractor to work with reach out to them you will not regret it

We hired Precision General Contracting to install solar panels, a new roof, and an Enphase battery backup system, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the results.

The roof looks fantastic, the solar system is running smoothly, and the Enphase batteries give us real peace of mind during outages. The entire process was well-organized, efficient, and clearly communicated.

A special thank you to Mike and Chris, the production managers — they were incredibly helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable every step of the way. They made sure everything stayed on track and answered all our questions with patience and professionalism. Glad we chose Precision for the job.

Don't use them. It's been 9 months since they started a painting and refinishing project with texcote. It is still not done to satisfaction. The workers didn't work more than three days in a row, because of other projects they were working. Project manager Dave has been ok to talk to... but essentially he's just blowing smoke and things don't get done. I withheld payment waiting for the project to be completed since there is still partially unsecure wood panels, bubbling paint, and crumbling stucco, but they said they needed the last payment to pay for supplies. Liars! It's been two months and they haven't came back.
UPDATE:
Thought progress was being made with their "warranty work", but they sent out a crew to scrape the bubbled up paint about two months ago, and completely forgot about us. Actually it is more likely they are being spiteful because of this review. They have mentioned their disapproval of the review in email.

I contracted with Precision General Contracting to paint my home. They did an amazing job in a timely manner. Our home looks beautiful! I recommend them to anyone.

Precision took over a stucco project that was improperly done by another contractor. I had stucco falling off my house in sheets.
They removed the old stucco , reapplied new , Repaired all the damage and repainted the house.
The project was completed on schedule and on budget . They did an excellent job. The entire crew was exceptionally. Even the office staff went out of their way to explain and work with us during a difficult time as we had to sue the original contractor to get the funds for the repair.
Excellent company, they have called many times in the year since to check that everything was satisfactory.

Just jumping in here to echo everything my wife said—we’re both so happy with the work Precision General Contracting did on our Chula Vista home! The new roof, windows, and patio cover turned out even better than we imagined. The house truly feels refreshed, and we’ve already had a few neighbors stop by to compliment the transformation.

Their salesman are pushy. They use subcontractors and cheap materials. Once you give them your money, they basically forget about you and move on. I hired them 2 years ago to install solar panels on my home. After installing the panels they left and I was unaware that they hadn't turned on my system for months until I called SDG&E and it still took several phone calls before they did. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

We had our driveway, 2 doors replaced, boulevard strip turfed, and our house painted with the cool wall texcoat. We loved our experience with Precision! Even if there was any issues with communication it was QUICKLY and PROFESSIONALLY handled and I loved it! My rep Anthony is wonderful! And Carly at the office is absolutely AMAZING! They also helped us with the finance process! Made it so much of a smoother process!

First of all, I regret ever going with this company. They do not do what they say they are going to do. We purchased solar panels from them in 2022. The were overpriced and took almost a year to install. I asked for them to install bird netting around so we didn’t get nests, had to call them back out to do so. Then they left a toolbag on my roof. Some time goes by and i notice that our breaker keeps tripping for the A/C. They overloaded the circuit.. Got a hold of someone who said they would be out after the recent holidays (2025). It’s not January 16th and i still have not heard back. Left a voicemail and everything. STAY AWAY from this company. they are there to sell you and then fail to do what they say. Needless to say I’m sure I will hear back after this review. Do better.

We recently had our roof replaced and a new insulated patio cover installed by Precision General Contracting, and we are beyond satisfied with the entire experience.
