The Urban Arborist was recommended to me by a landscape designer/architect who is a close friend and neighbor of mine. I consulted with them on an ailing tree on my Potrero Hill property. The arborist accurately diagnosed the problem with the tree and made excellent suggestions for how to help the tree to recover. He was clearly very knowledgeable and focused on the well being of the tree as opposed to on how the company could find ways to create business for themselves. I was very impressed with the consultation and followed up with them a year later. The tree has been improving ever since that first visit to my backyard.

We hired Urban Arborist to do a “Health and Safety” trim and prune of our overgrown street tree. Friendly staff, excellent and highly professional work, arrived as scheduled, super cleanup of tree basin, sidewalk and street. Definitely recommend this company.

Urban Arborist turned our yard into a native plant oasis. We removed most non-native plants, including a very old non-native tree, and filled the yard with bird-loving foliage. The birds absolutely hang out in our Ray Hartman Ceanothus, Red Elderberry, fuchsias, rivers, firecracker plants, manzanita, yarrow, ceanothus ground cover and others. They built a 4x8 raised vegetable box where we grow salad veggies. They were very easy to work with, helping us plan the layout.

We had an extremely large redwood trimmed in our cluttered backyard. They did a fantastic job not only thinned it out and made it safer it also looked really good Probably get it done every two years. Great job

Urban Arborist came out to my home for a consultation about an overgrown loquat tree that was damaging our deck. They quickly diagnosed my problem, proposed some solutions, and answered my questions. Their demeanor was informative and collaborative; I never felt talked down to. It turned out that my issue was pretty simple and, rather than charge me to fix it, they gave me detailed instructions to address the problem myself. I was really impressed by their generosity and honesty. Plus, I took their advice and my loquat is looking a lot better and is no longer damaging my deck. If I have another tree issue in the future they will be my first call!
