We have a 100-year-old live oak that needed maintenance and pruning, and the Urban Arborist crew was great! They were efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly, and took great care of our tree. Will definitely use use them again next time our tree needs work

I had a very good experience with The Urban Arborist with an extremely cut and removal of my palm tree right in from of my house.
They were fast, cautious and professional.
At some point at the end of the job my fence was slightly damaged and they made sure to hire a metal smith to fix it immediately.
I highly recommend them!

The workers did a fantastic job cutting down a dead tree in our backyard, which was at risk of falling on our deck and home. They arrived on time, were skillful in avoiding damage in the surrounding area, and were efficient in cleaning up. Nick was able to schedule our job on an emergency basis, was very communicative, and was a pleasure to work with. Thank you so very much~

I highly recommend the Urban Arborist. We had some HUGE trees in SF that needed to be removed and it was a really tricky job in terms of one was across the fenceline with the neighbor, another was supporting a retaining wall so that had to be accounted for and the only access was through the house.
The whole team did an amazing job over a couple of days to get these trees taken out. They took a great deal of care to prep the route through the house to ensure nothing was damaged or dirtied. I am in awe of how easily the seemed to make such a complex, big job. I am not sure many other arborists would have been able to handle it plus handle it so efficiently, professionally and cost-effectively. I can't recommend them enough.

The Urban Arborist crew was top-notch: punctual, cordial, swift, orderly, and -- above all -- skilled. The challenge this year was to remove a platform embedded for a long time in the middle of our Japanese maple. The crew did this both carefully and expediously. The tree looks happier than it has in a long time, heading into a healthy spring.

Urban Arborist has trimming our trees for years. They do great work, plan with us beforehand what needs to de done, and check in with us about details while they are working. We’ve worked with Carlos’s team repeatedly and appreciate how they remember what we’ve wanted done before and adjust to anything new that needs to be done.

We hired Urban Arborist to trim a large maple tree in front of our home in Hayes Valley, and they exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and easy to work with. The crew worked efficiently and completed the job quickly without sacrificing quality. They clearly knew what they were doing and left our property clean when they finished. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in San Francisco looking for reliable tree services.

I wish I could give more than five stars. We had two big trees worked on. One was in bad shape and needed to be removed. One a giant coastal redwood that they thinned and shaped. They made it look like a new tree, so beautiful. The men were so professional and quiet, too. We will call them again when the redwood needs another trim. Great job, we were very satisfied with their work.

Had large pine in our backyard trimmed. Had it evaluated for safety and then trimmed. Tricky terrain with pruning done safely. Cleaned up well. Nice price and quickly done. I do recommend Urban Arborist.

Highly recommend using these guys. I got their name from a neighbor who has used them for years and said they were terrific. I had 6 tall ornamental pear trees for trimming, they quoted a great price, scheduled a date close in time, did an excellent job shaping and trimming the trees and cleaning up after. Real professionals who are invested in healthy, great looking trees.

I have used Urban Arborist for several years to maintain and trim back a large fast growing Japanese Zelkova, four Plums, and one large Loquat tree. I have always been very pleased with their work. The crew was punctual, working effectively and efficiently. Working with Carlos and crew members for the last few years were great. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. And, they did an excellent job tidying and cleaning up afterward. They were thorough.

Urban Arborist did a terrific job trimming a mature old San Francisco native Islais Cherry tree. This was the first major trimming of this tree since I had planted it 15 years ago, and I was completely impressed with the work performed.

Urban Arborist is the best. We called them 2 years ago to assess a large Eucalyptus we thought needed pruning and they assured us it was fine-no need to trim it. When we called last year they again said it looked healthy and didn’t really need pruning yet but we had some concerns. They did a beautiful job for a fair price. Certainly the opposite of hard sell. Highly recommend.

Before and after photos show pruning at the top and around and thinning to let more light through to the inner branches. The after photo was taken 6 months after pruning and growth has already begun. This is our second time using the urban arborist for these trees and we will use them again. They communicate well, the work is expertly done, clean up is taken care of and the price is fair. It’s a good company to hire.
