A excellent and exciting experience at this location of Sloat Garden. I'm visiting again today! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful!

Beautiful plants lots of succulents, fruit trees even and a lot of house plants Lots of pots. Love the place... big supply of lots of things fertilizers etc

Good selection of indoor and outdoor plants, pots and garden accessories. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. A bit over priced when you look at IKEA though

Great place to go to if you’re starting a garden in the city or even if you just want to add some plants in your apartment.
The people at Sloan garden are always knowledgeable.

Excellent nursery where you can buy herbs and produce plants. They also sell ladybugs 🐞which is very convenient for protecting your garden in an organic way. Yay!

I love this shop! They have a variety of succulents fom lil babies to grown plants. Also the ladies there are very helpful.

Lucky to have a local nursery in the neighborhood. Always happy to support this location - and they seem to take great care of their plants.

Ace, the helpful and knowledgeable staff member, is right: there are plants here that will wilt if you speak to them with attitude. Staff here are plant whisperers and are helpful as I’m to make my apartment more feminine — per Her Majesty’s advise! She talks to plants too. And I do believe they have a consciousness — I will friend them on Facebook. I may end up paying them more attention than to Her Majesty, and that may require a UN peace conference.

John is a great gardener, hard working, affordable and transforms things fast!!

John has always been a green thumb. One time, many years ago, he filled a bottle with sticks and pebbles. He sprayed daily until he had a little jungle INSIDE !!!

I asked John to clean up my garden and he did so much more. He is very creative and my garden looks great. I highly recommend.

Once upon a time there was a gardener like no other. He let the sun in, while creating new spaces…now birds chirp and butterflies roam. He innately understands garden feng shui, applying it to garden instances. I cannot thank him enough!

John is an artist. Literally! He makes beautiful paintings and poetry. He is also an absolutely stellar gardener and wonderful human being. Highly recommend!

John spent a considerable amount of time developing a vision for my tiny backyard that he then executed on flawlessly and in record time. He worked within our limited budget and created a beautiful gardenscape, working our existing pieces into it

John did great work. My back yard was badly overgrown and he transformed it in one day. He has good ideas and really made the garden look nice. Very favorable overall experience.

John, by far is the best gardener I've had and I've gone through a few in the last 4 years.

He has a great taste, finishes the job he promises, makes fantastic recommendations, is flexible, goes the extra mile, and also gives generous discounts, so you get a lot more than your money's worth.

He's also does photography, writes poems and short stories, acts in some operas as a side hobby. Ask him about it! He's a funny guy.

Tips for working with John:
1) Double confirm appointments and remind him through text/phone call, as he's super busy with various clients.

2) Be flexible as prior gardening jobs may take longer. If you're on a tight schedule let him know and he'll accommodate you.
