I had to have my floors replaced due to water damage the whole downstairs of my house. Scott and his crew were incredibly professional, they answered all of my concerns, it went above and beyond to help me move back into the house and feel comfortable again. I would highly recommend Scott Trudell and Trudell Construction if you ever need to have any kind of remodeling done at your house.

They were quick and efficient. We needed to move into our house 3 weeks after closing and 1 wee after selling our old house. It gave them a month to install HVAC, re-do the electrical, scrape ceilings, paint, renovate the bathroom and demo the kitchen. It was done quickly and to our satisfaction.

Scott was very helpful in accessing our home repairs, and suggesting the course of action as if it were his own home without doing any upsell. His experience shines through in how he was able to quickly sort out each issue and we feel safe to ahead with his services.

Scott and his team were great to work with. Scott brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our project and we have been thrilled with the results of the remodel. We will definitely go back to Scott when we are ready for the next phase..!

We've used Trudel Construction on 2 of our houses in the last 7 years.

For both of our remodels, we switched to Trudel Construction after having bad experiences with other contractors. Both times our experience was like night and day.

The first project was a master bedroom and bathroom remodel.
The second was much larger project, adding 700SQ ft, and some remodeling work.

This second project we had everything stacked against us, bad designs/drawings, things just not thought out, things over-engineered, less than accommodating permit process from the city, and the original contractor company that basically just stopped coming.
Scott and his team picked things up and ran with it, he helped work with the city on the permits and all the changes we'd need to the drawings, found another engineer to fix calculations, you name it. His team got started right away and we made immediate progress.

Scott is friendly, reasonable, and knows construction really well. He genuinely tries to help you make the right decisions, not pushing for more expensive options. Scott handles the inevitable surprises that come up with a remodel fairly and doesn't take advantage of you when it happens.

He works with the same trades people for a long time, (foundation/framing/electrical/plumbing/tile), and those guys are quite good. For example, his tile setters do it the good old school way, with mud/wire, not the DIY backerboards.

Like most GCs, he doesn't always come onsite when his sub-contractors are here, but he is always around for any/all of the crucial phases to make sure the next tradesmen knows what the plan is and what needs to be done, goes over any possible last minute changes we may want/need, etc...And importantly, he will always come (the same day) if I say he needs to come and check on something.

He communicates well, and is always a call/text away. No more praying for a call back...

We would recommend Scott and Trudel Construction, and we'd use him again for any project we have next.

A few months into Covid lockdown, we discovered a long term water leak in our bathroom that required remediation and replacement of the floor. We were long overdue for a bathroom upgrade, just hadn't anticipated having to do it then. We got a recommendation for Trudel Construction from the restoration company. We met with Scott and had a gut sense that he would do an excellent job. That proved to be true. Turns out the second bathroom also had an active leak via the shower tile and we had MOLD. I was quite concerned about that for health reasons and Scott had an expert in who took care of removing it safely. Every single craftsman that came to our home was professional, competent, and incredibly efficient. Many had worked with Scott for years. It was obvious that they cared about their work and took pride in it. Their work was top notch. We are absolutely thrilled with our two new bathrooms. I have a bit more to add though. I'm a retired physician with some high risk conditions for Covid and a son with Type 1 diabetes. We lost my Uncle to Covid. We were/are very very limited with contacts and quite concerned that we had to have people in the house for the remodel. I explained this to Scott. I found out that all workers ARE PAID TO STAY HOME BY TRUDEL CONSTRUCTION if they were feeling sick or had a Covid exposure. He assured me that they really care about every aspect of the job, including the health of the workers and the clients. We saw that firsthand. Everyone wore masks at all times. The crews did not mix with each other, they came at different times. Scott communicated clearly and often and we did see that policy in action when there was a Covid exposure. I hear that remodels are supposed to be hard and stressful. Even with Covid, this was an easy, pleasant experience. I cannot recommend Trudel Construction highly enough. I've already referred him to my neighbor and another organization that needs some work done. When we replenish the bank account, we will have Trudel Construction back for our kitchen remodel.

I was referred to Scott for some water damage that took place in my home. Scott was responsive and quick to get me an estimate to repair the downstairs of my home. He replaced the baseboards, entire downstairs flooring, drywall repair from water damage and painted/touched up the fixes. This was all done in a timely manner with great communication throughout. I can't recommend Scott and his team highly enough! They did the rebuilding/repairs after a water heater leak destroyed some of the walls, closets and floors at a rental property. Scott gave me a fair quote for the job (it wasn't the lowest I received, but it wasn't the highest either) and worked with me to schedule the work quickly. The whole crew adhered to Covid precautions (which was especially important because the elderly, unvaccinated tenant was present during construction), did high quality work and were very professional. The flooring guy was even able to do a close match to the 70-year-old hardwood floor when replacing the damaged slats! Scott responded super-quickly and with great patience throughout the process and even provided me with invaluable advice on a part of the job his crew was not handling. He has mega-integrity and it extends to all aspects of how he runs his business, prices and performs the work, and works with customers.

Scott and his crew are very professional and know what to do. They gave me great recommendations on certain things and the project went well. He and his crew also accommodated a few changes during the project and the project price was fair and good. I strongly recommend them for any exterior or interior house projects.

We got connected with Scott through a friend’s recommendation and we couldn’t be happier! Our home’s foundation was sinking and we couldn’t open our front door or bathroom doors, rooms were sloped, and walls were cracking. He came out immediately to check it out and scheduled his crew right away. The work was done so quickly and perfectly, we are beyond grateful for Scott and his crew! Everyone who worked with him was extremely knowledgeable and worked so hard on every last detail to make our foundation right. He and his crew also removed an old wall mounted air conditioner from the 50’s from our home. They fixed the stucco and drywall so it looked like the unit was never even there. He’s so easy to work with, not to mention HILARIOUS! Our next goal is a kitchen renovation, and we are looking forward to working with him!

I recently needed to do some remodeling of our downstairs. I was referred to Scott. I called him to come out yo take a look. I needed to have some drywall work and painting for repairs due to some water damage. I also wanted new cork laminate flooring throughout the downstairs. Scott is very friendly we hit it off as he listened to what I needed. He got me an estimate the same day. It was a very s estimate and I selected Scott’s crew to do the work. The team was very knowledgeable and worked quickly. My wife and I loved the finished product. The floors look great. The job took less than 2 weeks when others said 6-8 weeks. We are very happy with the work that was done. The team is friendly and very personable. I highly recommend Scott and his team for any remodeling needs you have. We had a great experience.

I was referred to Trudel Construction by my realtor and worked directly with the owner, Scott. Scott is a local guy from the bay area and fun guy to talk to and very knowledgeable in his field.

My wife and I had several projects to get our new home functional for our living needs. Scott was was able to deliver on every project to completion, which was amazing to not have to procure experts myself and work with him on everything.

For example, we needed new HVAC units for the house and garage, a new electrical panel to support future solar/pool, and build out brand new closets since they were empty. Scott and team got all this handled in a rather quick turnaround. Thank goodness we have A/C and heat in our house now!

In addition, Scott and team has significant experience in building and construction. We had a vision to remove our chimney and add a large sliding door in our living room to back yard area. We saw his work he did for someone else and decided to move forward with Scott.

We connected directly with his doors and windows team and went to their showroom. Luckily that helped us change our minds from an accordion door to a large 14' slider instead. Scott explained the differences and walked me through the project now that we had the door picked out. It was pretty straight forward for him and he knew exactly what needed to be done with framing, the beam, etc. We had an architect design it thereafter and he got the job done and we absolutely love the transformation this slider did for our house - and it looks amazing and more or less, a piece of cake for he and his team.

Trudel Construction remodeled 3 bathrooms in our home in 2023. I am quite happy with the projects. Scott, the owner, is responsive to concerns and promptly responds to messages. He held to his estimates for work completed and was fair with charges for additional work that was needed due to unforeseen conditions or our requests. Due to some odd choices in the original construction of our home, we used custom cabinetry to maximize space and storage and Scott having an affiliated cabinet shop to handle this part of the project seamlessly was quite valuable.

Scott and his team were great! Easy to communicate with and high quality work. We moved into a new house that needed new paint inside along with some minor repairs. Scott and Luis found a major leak in a bathroom that needed a complete remodel and now it looks fantastic with a new tub/shower, vanity, and tile. We needed Scott’s help with picking up the vanity and he met me at the Lowe’s to bring it to the house along with other larger items that can’t fit in my small car. His team is highly recommended with experienced guys such as Luis and David!

Last year our second floor balcony was leaning and in desperate need of repair after suffering many years of water damage. Scott and his team restored our balcony and made it safe and strong once again. It also looks amazing.

This year Scott and his team remodeled our kitchen. We had so many questions along the way and Scott was always available to answer them. From making and installing our beautiful custom wood cabinets and installing our hardwood flooring to fabricating and installing our stone countertops, Scott and his team took care of everything.

In addition, our old kitchen had some water damage from a small leak we could never locate. Scott was able to find the source of the water damage and fixed the problem. He also removed any wood that suffered water rot. We cannot believe how much better the house feels and the water rot smell is finally gone. We can hardly believe the difference. Our new kitchen is beautiful, bright and exactly as we wished for.

We will not hesitate to use Trudel Construction in the future and are looking forward to working with Scott and his team again.

Scott and his team are one of the best contractors in South Bay that we had that pleasure of working with to remodel our kitchen, including demo the old countertop, removing the old cabinets, and installing new countertop/backsplash, and installing new cabinets with customizations (lazy susan, magic corner, L-shape cabinets). They also repainted our kitchen walls and took special care in protecting existing appliances & walls.

His crew are very professional, efficient and arrive on-time. Scott’s team pretty much did everything they could during peak December holidays to help with isolating water leak in our kitchen walls and got even their own plumber to take care of the necessary repairs. Scott is extremely responsive and available to his clients, whenever they need any follow-ups or have questions.

My wife and I will definitely be working with them again for our future home upgrade needs.
