After reaching out to several insulation companies and getting quotes from 4 of them, we picked Ideal Attic to clean, rodent proof, and insulate our attic and floors as well as cleaning the ducts on our house that lies deep in the Santa Cruz mountains. Jorge got me an extremely competitive quote, and even after pressing the rest of the companies, Jorge’s original quote was still way below the other companies’. He sent out two teams the following Saturday and got everything done in one day. Everyone worked extremely hard and everything got done as promised. The attic team ran into a problem with a recessed light that went out while vacuuming in the area. They weren’t able to fix it on the spot, but Jorge and his dad came out a few days later and fixed it. Overall I’m very pleased with the price, quality, and the company’s dedication to making the customer happy, and I would therefore recommend Ideal Attic.

Ideal Attic did a fantastic job on my home. The quality of their work was superb, and they exceeded my expectations. We had a full rebuild of duct work performed, removal of blown insulation, and new insulation installed in the attic and under the house. I recently had the pleasure of hiring Ideal Attic Insulation to handle a major attic cleanup and new insulation installation, and I am absolutely blown away by the quality of their work. Our attic had become a source of stress due to some unwelcome rodents and old, inefficient insulation.

George and his team were extremely professional and very responsive. I was able to get a quote really quickly, and I truly felt like George took the time to answer all of my questions. He even shared helpful information that I wasn’t aware of.

Our home was poorly insulated in the attic, which caused major temperature issues along with moisture and humidity buildup. After the attic insulation installation, we noticed an immediate difference. The temperature in our home became much more regulated, and we found ourselves using the heater far less. It was a huge and very positive change.

I feel very fortunate to have found Ideal Attic Insulation to work on the attic and crawlspace of our newly purchased home. From the start, Jorge came to provide a free inspection, and he was extremely professional and thorough. He personally went into the attic and crawled into the crawlspace to check every detail. After his inspection, he gave us a very fair estimate with a clearly written and complete scope of work.

Jorge and team were exceptional to work with. The removed our old insulation, sealed the attic and added new fiberglass insulation, explained each and every step and went great lengths to do rodent proofing. And all it took was few hours.

Jorge also came few months later to fix some of the gaps that the HVAC crew left in our attic.

Poor workmanship job was not completed by timeline still not done. Reach out to talk with management no response and caused more issues that I have to fix because they won't. All they want is payment but won't standby contract or workmanship and never cleaned up afterwards. Don't use them they don't care about the clients time.

Journey builders over charged me for my roof replacement on my garage and house. They seem to charge a general price for everything after looking at other reviews. I asked several times for an itemized receipt of my charges and they refused and just kept repeating the price is what it is. I'll never use them again or recommend their services.

Gave them 1 star because I had to, not because they earned it. Was AWFUL!!! After quoting us $25000 for new roof and doing the demo, they had a supervisor come out and tell us we needed to pay another $20,000! We refused and settled on an extra $4400. They charge $3500 for prep and tarping and didn't tarp a thing. We had to constantly pick up nails all around our house. I am still scared to look at the bottom of the pool. While looking at paperwork for extra $4400 noticed they were again charging for prep and tarping. Why would I have to pay for them to do it twice? Especially when they didn't do it at all! Project manager asked if they at least covered the pool, I told him no. He said he would talk to the crew. Not even two hours later the crew shows up to do part of the work and still didn't tarp pool. I sent pictures to project manager and received no response. Materials were slowly starting to show up. Some of it we refused to let them used as it looked like it was sitting in someone's back yard for years. All torn and dirty. Metal flashing was delivered. Couple days later the same people who delivered it showed up at the house looking for it. Didn't come to the door or announce themselves at all. They just started looking around our house. I seen them through the window. My husband went out to find out what they were doing. The were looking for the flashing. They were gonna take it (probably for another job) and weren't gonna say anything to us. Luckily we moved it into the back yad the day it was delivered. We have had several contractors and work crews in our home the last 11 months and Journey Builders has been the absolute worst company to deal with. They didn't show up when they said they would. Wouldn't call and let us know what was going on. Promised to have it done start to finish in two weeks. That was on 9/26/23, to date (11/10/23) it still isn't finished! Left my house with no roof or tarps for 2 weeks and we got hit with a rain storm. Water leaked into walls, my master bath and my garage. They asked for pictures then they never said another thing about it. City inspector came out three times and failed inspection for same reason all three times. Even he was disgusted with their work. Poor communication and follow through!! Awful work ethic. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON!!!

They do not honor their contracts- George bid the job and bid and I signed a contract and after that tried to get me to pay an extra 7k for his oversight in the bid. He then agreed to do the job but would not schedule the work. It dragged on for about 4 months and he refused to respond even though I had a contract and they had a deposit- my contractor finally reached them and they were like we aren’t going to do it- poor service
