We had them out to put crown moulding around our cabinets at the top. He took a few shortcuts around the corners and filled them in with caulking instead of making the cuts in the exact right spots. It isn’t horrible, but it wasn’t impressive work. (Not that I personally could have done better, but I expected it to look better based on what we paid.) that being said they were prompt and polite.

I had a clogged bath shower that was draining incredibly slowly, and it was starting to become a real problem. I contacted [ Proper Hour Home Services], and I’m so glad I did! They arrived and had everything working perfectly in no time. The plumber was professional, courteous, and clearly experienced. They even cleaned up after the job, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend their services for any plumbing needs—reliable, efficient, and friendly. Thank you again for the great work!

I will recommend anyone to stay away from this company by all means.
Our home was severely damaged by their poor workmanship/negligence (broke the sprinkler water pipe), which led to a major flood in entire home and our home is not livable anymore. Restoration may take over 2 months, and it is very likely that it won't be safe to live there (mold and poor house integrity) even after the restoration.

We need to find a temporal place to live during restoration, and causing significant inconvenience for our family and our works, but the company has no willingness to help us out other than working with their own insurance company. They refused to provide necessary information for investigation of this case and tried to get away with minimal cost.

Llya K. was kind and courteous. He did a very good job removing the moldy caulk from my bathroom shower/tub tiles as well as removal of the old moldy glass doors + track. My only problem was that he did not understand English enough to understand my request to use tension instead of drilling the shower curtain rod into the wall. I didn't want him to do that. When I showed him the picture on the box. He still didn't know how to do it that way. Overall I'm thankful he removed the mold so I can live with ease again. Will use this company again as long as they understand my needs exactly so there is no confusion. Thank you so much!!

This is my second time using proper hour and I continue to be impressed with the company.

They texted the arrival time, name, photo, and gps location of the technician. The technician arrived on time and as described. He was polite and professional.

We lumped a variety of small jobs together (wall blemishes, repairing and texture dry wall and fix loose wall fixtures, replacing bar lights with recessed, etc.). The with itself was very good and was completed efficiently.

The technician checked in regularly when there were decision points and cleaned up afterwards.

Vadim did a very good job on fixing a few wall issues caused by water leakage. He was able to cover a large hole almost perfectly with matching colors, while flattening other areas. He was fast and careful with all tasks, leaving the area clean after finishing the repairs.

Can’t say enough about this company. They really do go above and beyond to give the best results possible. They make every effort to deliver a perfect result. When I noticed a small difference, they offered to come back without me even asking. Based on my two separate projects, they have demonstrated the epitome of professionlism.

I strongly advise against hiring this company for any major repairs. Our landlord hired them to replace a collapsed ceiling and they continuously ignored our requests (both in person and in writing) to properly protect our belongings. Despite assuring me our furniture would be removed to another room and sealed off completely from construction dust/debris, the crew ended up doing construction work directly on top of our uncovered area rug (see photo) and made up various excuses when I asked multiple times to remove it from the work area. The crew also left their fast food cups overnight on an uncovered wood table (again, they ignored our request to cover it with plastic) which left permanent water stains all over the top of it. They also somehow managed to break off a piece of my laptop monitor stand and left it in a pile on my workstation after the job was done. They also failed to seal the bottoms of closets and doorways, so dust/debris (which included lead paint) migrated into other rooms and closets, and the crew regularly tracked debris into the building hallway, entryway, and elevator. Please do not hire this company for anything major work - they added so much stress to the process and our insurance is now replacing multiple things they damaged.

When I tried to be handy and accidentally unscrewed our doorknob, I knew I needed professional help. I called proper hour and 3 hours later Denis was able to do some quick repairs. He fixed our door and a drawer in our bathroom. Everything was done quickly and professionally. 10/10 recommend!

We appreciate the professionalism exhibited throughout the requisition process of service. We received a response swiftly to our project request. Very quick response time for estimates as well as the dispatching of matching servicemen to the job. We are very impressed with the punctuality and follow through with all our requests.

Overall, all the work was completed in a day to our satisfaction. Yauhen and his co-worker were very courteous and addressed all our concerns, making the repairs needed in a very professional way.

I'm so glad I found this company! I had some very specific and unusual jobs I needed done, and communication with their office was amazing! We were able to clearly outline the project and come up with a plan. Evgenii did a FANTASTIC job of completing all of the tasks I requested and the price was definitely reasonable. There was a little bit of a language barrier but nothing Google translate couldn't help us with. The work got done same day and was very high quality. This company is now my go to for handyman work! Alex helped me replace a recessed LED driver that was 17 feet high. It was a tricky job, and the previous people I hired weren’t able to fix it — but he got it done. He carefully went through the manual and instructions to make sure everything was installed correctly. Professional, patient, and detail-oriented. I’ll definitely hire him again!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
I hired them to replace some fixtures, they showed me a plugged faucet and recommended a whole house filtration system.
They sent a proposal and I agreed, they then told me it didn’t include parts(?) so I declined.
They came back and said they can do it with different parts at that price..
Should have still said no.
About 3 weeks later my water heater exploded.
I hired a 24 hour service to do repairs to the water heater and gas line which was also damaged.
When the water heater was installed and started, they couldn’t regulate temperature.
They found that the filtration had a check valve and the water heater wasn’t able to push water back.
By then items had been removed and my bogus insurance refused to pursue reimbursement.
I contacted them and they wanted to blame the plumber who did repairs (how?) in doing so they confirmed that a relief tank should have been installed if using the system.
Total cost of repairs was around $50,000

+ Work is done and issue is fixed.
+ the issue was tricky. While I install bidet remote to wall, I accidentally screwed in where electric wires were placed. Finding out this was not easy, but Nikolai was able to find it.

- took a bit long time to get to the reason.
- the work could have been done more efficiently without cutting the drywall, if planned better.

Overall the work could have been more efficient and less costly, still all issues fixed.

I called proper hour home service to fix a front entrance door that was bowing in and hard to open/close. Right away I was able to speak with someone who knew how to address my questions and give me insight on the next steps from the description of the problem.

They asked for some photos of the front door and were able to diagnose the problem with a potential fix.

The tech that came out was extremely easy to work with and knowledgeable. He was able to fix the front door in a few hours and make it look like it was never damaged to begin with!

The price was more than fair as I had expected it to be far more than expensive than initially planned.

I highly recommend this company if you need a handy man.
