I just received back my my beloved Persian rug which they cleaned and repaired. A beautiful, expert job at a fair price with free pick up and delivery. The rug looks and feels super clean (totally unlike a disappointing result from a different cleaner a few years ago who left cleaning residue in the wool). Its pattern and colors are clearer and more lovely than ever. The owner, Masood who picked up and delivered the rug, was punctual, warm, professional and a great source of information about the artisan traditions these rugs represent. Highly recommended!

I had two more rugs of mine picked up and washed by silk road guys.
I am extremely pleased with the result. Not only the rugs lood exceptionally clean, there is also a sheen in the wool which I didn't see in them before the wash.
All around, these people do excellent work.

Silk Road did an excellent job cleaning and repairing an heirloom antique rug. Rug had very old dog urine stains and hadn’t been cleaned in years. Highly recommend!!

CLEANING - we have referred rug-owners, interior designers and availed ourselves of this offering and must say the pick up and drop off service as well as the care taken with the rugs. They have always returned brighter, more vibrant and smelling great!

REPAIR/ALTERATIONS - in a world obsessed with disposing of the old, Silk Road has come to the rescue when people don't want to throw out a perfectly good piece because they've moved, etc. Again, reasonably priced for the high quality results, Silk Road's workroom has cut down rugs, repaired wear holes, re-bound edges, etc., and allowed our customers to keep heirloom quality rugs in their homes.

Had a sleeve put on my tibetan rug so I can hang it on the wall. I requested a quote via email. They sent me a video how the sleeve would be put on and gave me a very reasonable price. I dropped the rug off, they also suggested a cleaning since it had been in storage. The sleeve was well done. Overall, great experience.

I had 2 old Chinese rugs that badly needed repairs and professional cleaning. I found Silk Road in San Rafael on Google and got in touch with Masood and Jay. They got both my rugs expertly repaired, sides and new fringe and cleaned. The only reason it's not a five is that it took a bit longer than anticipated but maybe I misunderstood the timing. Everything else was perfect and I can truly recommend them, my old rugs (one at least 100 yrs) look amazing! We are so happy!

Our Experience with Silk Road Odyssey Rug-Cleaner and Repair was extremely satisfying. Several years ago we had a very expensive oriental rug cleaned by another provider. It came back apparently? clean, but rather dull looking. We were disappointed, to say the least. We lived with it because … who do you trust? Recently, we were referred to Jay, of Silk Road, by good friends, we trust. It seemed worth a try. We called Jay and he came over within 24 hours. We were impressed by his knowledge and confidence that he could get the rug clean and looking better. So, off he went with the rug with an exact date as to when it would be completed for a cost that seemed quite reasonable. What a good decision. The rug now glows once again with its original colors. The pile seems plusher, too. We will definitely use Silk Road from here on out. We recommend you do too.

Worth the cost. Our cream-colored silk rug had not been cleaned in four years. It was disgusting. Pet stains, muddy footprints, a large pen stain. All gone- it’s completely clean and looks brand new. We are very happy and will return in another four years!

Excellent service - simply couldn’t be better. I have lots of cats, one of whom had trouble controlling his bladder before he passed away recently. I’d done lots of clean up on my old but beautiful Shiraz oriental rug, but it needed professional help. The rug was picked up, then delivered to my house looking and smelling so fresh, clean and bright. All for a very reasonable price. In the 13 years since I found Silk Road, they have always been exceptionally knowledgeable and wonderful and so easy to deal with - friendly, professional, and my rug looks gorgeous. I highly recommend them.
