I have used Vulcan construction twice in the last five years for commercial projects. I have been completely satisfied with their prices, quality of work, professionalism and friendliness for the workers.

The first project was the addition of a conference room. The construction on a complete remodel of my building was only a year and a half old. My tenant notified me needed the room built fast. Vulcan worked with our designer and architect to complete the addition on time and with excellent workmanship. The operations manager of my building has told me multiple times how satisfied she is with the addition, and how well it fits on with the previous construction. (See photo)

The second project we used Vulcan for was a complete new sewer line replacement for our building. Our existing sewer line was decades old and we needed a few hundred feet replaced. Vulcan coordinated quick replacement of the line during the holiday season and even worked on weekends to not disturb my tenant. After the replacement, they coordinated replacement and repavement of our parking lot. They even provided a luxury portable toilets for our tenant’s employees on the days when the sewer could not be used.

I am very particular about quality of work and always do lots of research before I make any decisions on moving forward on any project. Vulcan provided service, workmanship, and service beyond my expectations.

They are awesome !! Highly recommend !

I requested pricing via email from 6 paving stone contractors and only 3 responded. Konig Construction's (owned by Klaus and his brother Marco Konig and located in Oakley) response was so far above the others there was no question who we would hire. Klaus even provided a video simulation of what the finished product would look like. The project was completed in 6 days and we are very pleased with the outcome. I accidentally spilled some PVC cement on a couple of stones and Klaus promptly brought over some replacements. I don't think you could do better with anyone else. We highly recommend Konig Construction!

We hired Konig Construction to design and install a beautiful backyard and pool surround with pavers. Marcos was our contact and designer, but all the guys that came to work were a pleasure and did an outstanding job! We waited 20 years to have it done, but now I wish we we hadn't waited so long. We love our new yard!

We had a disappointing experience with this company. From the outset, Marcos was very patient and communicative, which is one of the reasons we chose to work with them. However, we specifically selected this company because it advertised having its own in-house staff, but we discovered that they subcontract all the work. This introduced an element of unpredictability, as the quality of service seemed to depend largely on which subcontractor was assigned to our project. A a result, we had flooding due to drainage issues, lots of plants died, messy deck paint, stained pavers etc.

Though Marcos is very patient, which we appreciate, unfortunately he frequently offered excuses, which resulted in lost time and frustration as we rearranged our schedules for appointments that were often missed.

While we sympathized with any personal difficulties he may have been facing, it is important to note that those issues should not affect the quality of work or client experience.

Ultimately, we made the decision to switch to another contractor for the remainder of the project, which led to a much more satisfactory outcome.

For smaller or more contained projects, this company might work, since one of the subcontractors we worked with did a commendable job. However, for larger projects that require tight coordination and consistent communication, we did not find this company to be the right choice.

It was great working with Marcos. Under promised and over delivered. Project was completed early!

Marcos and team were GREAT to work with on our large backyard project. Pricing was very fair and the job was accomplished in a timely manner. I was also very impressed with the workmanship quality. I would would definatley use them again on a future project and highly reccomend Konig Construction for your project.

Marcos and the Konig Construction team did an amazing job on our backyard remodel. From the beautiful pavers to the outdoor kitchen and cozy fire pit, they delivered great quality work. This is a long overdue review as we just completed our back/front yard project. All the 5 star reviews about Marcos and team are true and we are so lucky to have found him through Yelp. I saw the great reviews, reached out to Konig and Marcos responded quickly. He came out and gave us a reasonable quote for the work we plan to do with our house (replaced the entire front, back and side yards with pavers, lights on steps/wall, veneer existing wall with ledge stones, add an outdoor kitchen with pergola, outdoor shower, fire pit, French drains, add decking around the new pool we were building and replace our fence). Marcos team worked very hard and efficiently. They did a wonderful job transforming our front yard (we've gotten lots of compliments from our friends and families how beautiful the front yard is). I was amazed how fast they work. Unfortunately, the pool company we were using was a complete disaster and caused tremendous delay on our backyard work. Marcos was very understanding and patient with us while we found another pool company to replace the incompetent pool company. On top of that, we were also upgrading our electric panel with PG&E and Marcos' team helped with the trench work needed by PG&E. Marcos coordinated well with the new pool company throughout the process to ensure our project is on track. I really appreciate Marco's professionalism and he was always available and responsive whenever I have questions. The project took a long time (not Marcos fault at all as in addition to the incompetent pool company we were using, the heavy rain we got at the end of 2022/early 2023 put a complete stop to our project). Due to the heavy rain, we realize we have a lot of underground water in our area and Marcos came up with a great solution to improve our drainage. We are so happy to transform our outdoor living space and have already hosted several parties in the backyard. I highly recommend Marcos and his team to anyone who is looking for a reliable company who does top notch work.

I reached out to multiple people for quotes and found Kong Construction. From the first interaction with Marcos, I knew this would be a great fit. Marcos and his team did not disappoint. They were very easy to communicate with and had your best interest in mind. Marcos never tried to upsell or push anything on the project that was unnecessary.
His team was definitely a standout and were great.
They arrived everyday early and worked hard. They were constantly cleaning up after every day as of it were their own home. They took their time and made sure the project was done properly. After the completion of the project, they took care of clean up and left like they were never there. Again, I could not be happier with the Konig Construction team.
