HVAC reviews in Santa Rosa, California

I don’t usually write reviews but here goes, this place is crazy busy so your patience is needed here . Whenever I am helped, I am greeted with kindness. Kevin , Josh, Jarret Martin, and Phil Ragueneau are very knowledgeable and go the extra mile to help you with what you need; with great attitude.

I came here the other day and I was met with disrespect and poor communication the new people don't know the material, and the women in front were being completely rude to many of the clients. The only helpful people were Sean and the older guy there. I sent one of my workers far to get material that they said they had in stock and when he got there they said they didn't have a single thing and made me waste a lot of money and time for nothing. I hope this doesn't happen with other contractors! If it wasn't for Sean I don't know what I would've done.

Super bad customer service experience. Was in the middle of placing a large order when asked to move out the way and wait back in line because we were cash customers and not contractors. Super rude guy that obviously wasn't feeling his job. Much easier to go to Pace Supplies.

First and last time customer. I purchased some air conditioning line set for a new residential hvac installation. I thought everything was fine, even after the 30 minute long sale. After my purchase, it turns out that it was the wrong size and I went back for an exchange. When I did, the salesman was not at all nice. He stated that "We, should have never have sold me this product in the first place and that I wasn't aloud to buy it anyway." At this point he refused to sell me the correct size and quite smugly stated your just going to get your money back. What's up with the bad attitude Slakey Brothers? No wonder why people buy online.

Front desk won’t talk to you unless you show proof of a contractors license. Even with proof they won’t sell to general contractors unless they have a HVAC license only. It’s legal for generals to install more than one trade but they don’t seem to know that. Took 30-45 minutes for Jarrett at the counter to figure out how to use a my credit card because they don’t use card chips. Took another half hour to get the guys to pull my product. Basically the only good thing here is they have enough money to over stock what you need but to much money in labor to help get anything done efficiently.

My company has been a long time customer of Slakey Brothers and we generally have a pretty positive experience at every other branch but this one. Over the years whenever we've had to order through the Santa Rosa branch they've either been unfriendly, unhelpful or both. They often fail to communicate critical information about our orders and our driver winds up wasting a trip simply because their inventory database is off and nobody bothered to check if product is actually, physically on hand.

Dan Hug arrived on time, did a proper inspection and ordered parts and came back within a few days of receiving parts and finished the install. No mess do excuses no delays. He is knowledgeable and left the place clean. I went through two other home warranty plumbers who made up excuses not to come back and finish the job once they got paid for the diagnosis callout. He’s g Plumbing honored their contract and commitment to complete the job and they communicate easily to keep me up to date on status of parts. Highly recommend Hug.

If you're thinking of hiring this company, don't.

They couldn’t be a worse company. Dont bother
-
Worst company ever. They on't respond calls or call back. Had to deal with them through home warranty services.
-
The worst experience. ever and they never answered the phone call.
Biggest rip-off in history of heating and cooling.. -
3 days for an appointment. 4 days to submit work order to Warranty. Never answers the phone, or return messages.
Ended up not using them. -
I’m a renter and my landlord put in a order with them. They called me on speaker phone and I couldn’t even hear the guy and he ignored me when I told him I could hear him and then he hung up and since then I have been trying to reach them with no answer from both the phone numbers I have . My landlord said they are to be here the next day but I doubt that since I have no clue what time or anything. My landlord can’t even tell me the time. So I would give them a zero star but can’t . Don’t use this company at all.

Installed air conditioner. We had several delays but all were on the side of Warrenty. Once connected to Hug, they were responsive, on time & very professional. All permits & vent tests were all positive. I was very pleased.

Nice enough guy who came out through our home warranty company but they never followed up on any questions regarding the work they said needed to be done. Wouldn’t rest a lot on their integrity and follow through.

I had great experience with Hug Plumbing. They are very professional, efficient & straight. I hired them for my ac repair in Santa Rosa & they did great job. They are knowledgeable, super easy to work with, respectful, and kind. I highly recommend Hug Plumbing for your heating and air conditioning needs.

They came out through our home warranty. At first it was okay, they came out and made a repair. Then two weeks later the heater started acting up again. I called the home warranty company again and they told me the vendor would reach out within 24 hours. They didn't reach out. My husband tried to call. No return call. It was around Christmas so we waited TEN DAYS to hear back from them. On the 11th day I called and left another voicemail. On the 12th day I called our home warranty company, who called them - they didn't respond to them either. They dispatched another company who came out. The first company had installed the repair parts wrong AND blew one of our fuses. Mistakes can happen, but mistakes and not being responsive? NO.

Unreliable. They accepted a work order from my home warranty provider and never bothered to call me to set an appointment. I called them several times, over several days and when I finally got a hold of somebody they said they had my work order and would get back to me. They never did. They have delayed the repair on my heating system. Awful customer service, they should at least have the courtesy to let customers know they cannot take a job so they can locate another technician asap.

My mother’s home warranty company put us in contact with Hug Plumbing when the prior plumber that was assigned to fix a shower, leaking into a closet, was unable/unwilling to make the necessary repairs. I called and left a message right after the company was assigned and immediately received a text message from Dan stating he would get back to me as soon as possible. Dan called me within 20 minutes and scheduled an appt for the next morning, even though it was a Sunday. After making 2 different trips to the hardware store to find parts for a no longer manufactured plumbing system… for a 36 yr old mobile home, Dan was able to fix the leak which had rotted out the wall behind the shower.
Dan was professional, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, while keeping me apprised every step of the way.
Thanks Dan! -
Unexpectedly great experience
We were put in touch with Dan at Hug Plumbing through a home warranty service. Dan was responsive, clearly wanted to help us solve our problem, and demonstrated in many ways his willingness to go out of his way to help. He's also obviously very knowledgeable and experienced. We had several details discussions about the technical issues, which I've never before seen a plumbing so interested to communicate. He solved the problem and we're happy with his service. -
HUGE kudos to Dan from Hug Plumbing! He proved to be reliable, punctual, professional and saved us over ten thousand dollars from a misdiagnosis from other plumbing companies. He fixed our plumbing issues right away and alleviated all our stress by trying to come up with thousands of dollars we didn’t have. Super grateful for his work! Highly recommend.
