I was SO SO impressed by the knowledge ELIAS our electrical technician showed. Our 1906 home needs TLC and safety is their priority....I will feel safer now that our wiring is being looked at by Aleco. ...and in Mike and Elias' care. Attention was given where it was most fragile and neglected. ...and I did not feel scammed or in the dark about type of work needed. Looking forward to our next appointment addressing the possible hazards.

I was an idiot and wanted to see if my fathers 60 year old drill still worked. Well, to make a long story short, it blew a circuit. All the breakers were good, but still no power. I called Aleco and bright and early the next morning, Elias showed up. He scoped out the problem and had it fixed within 15 minutes. Great professional service, worth every penny.

The technician was fabulous. He not only figure out my power issue, he pointed out that my outlets were a fire hazard which I knew since I moved into my house 8 years ago. He gave me a reasonable quote for his crew to come in and check out and bring my outlets up to code. Thank you very much.

We had an emergency issue with the kitchen outlets at one of our properties, and Julius/ Eliaswas quick to respond. They arrived on short notice, thoroughly assessed the problem, and provided clear explanations of what was happening and the options available to resolve it.

Aleco's service person arrived check the switch box in one of my bathrooms where before I called Aleco I had previously opened and pulled out the wires to see if they were all connected. I left them sticking part way out of the box and still connected as they were with wire nuts. I could not determine what was wrong so called Aleco. The electrician on arrival took a look and then called his boss who gave him and me three separate billable cost estimates for the job. One was $59 just for coming to survey the job and then two flat rate estimates, one for inspecting to determine the problem and another flat rate to correct the problem. The $59 gets waived if I accept getting the job done. The initial total cost less the $59 was quoted at about $350.
I knew this particular job was a matter of one or more wires in the electrical box were mixed up in controlling the three switches which controlled a set of ceiling lights, an exhaust fan and one night light and it was a matter of pulling out the wires to check and correct the connections under the wire nuts. I spoke to the Aleco boss who gave the quotes after talking to the electrician on site and finally negotiated some kind of discount so the total cost came down to $266 and reluctantly accepted it to get the job done. Much as I suspected it took him about 15 minutes change one or more connection for which he earned $266 for himself and Aleco. The work was done correctly and quickly and if I am really stuck again and cannot find an electrician who will work for a minimum of $125 or $150 minimum and per hour, I would call Aleco again. But it pains me that apart from the time to drive to my residence, he earned ($266 X 4 =) $1,064 per hour.

I had a horrible experience with the tech they sent to me, after telling me the service fee would be 59.00 and to install a light switch would be about 65.00 the tech that came said 500.00. Wow what a scammer! I called another place and it was 70.00 to install 2 light switches. Just be careful when calling this place the techs they send are going to try and scam you.

Aleco Electric is one of the worst companies to deal with, especially if you are a landlord. If they sense any conflict between landlord and tenant, they will try to play both sides instead of respecting who hired them.

I specifically asked Aleco to provide me with an estimate to install three smoke detectors. Instead of following my instructions, their technician went inside my tenant’s unit and told the tenant directly, “I’ll email you the quote.” This was completely inappropriate and unauthorized — they had no right to communicate pricing directly with the tenant.

Even after I told the technician not to send anything to the tenant, he went ahead and did it anyway. On top of that, the estimate they sent me was outrageous — over $1,300 just to replace three smoke detectors.

This kind of unprofessional and unauthorized conduct is unacceptable. If you are a landlord or property manager, I would strongly advise you to avoid Aleco Electric. They do not respect boundaries, and their pricing is unreasonable

I was way over bidded for the project I needed. The price to install 2 outlets was 9200 which I found ridiculous so I found someone else and he quoted me for 450. I found this to be more of a scam.

Hired them to provide a hot tub electrician since my breaker was tripping and I did not know the cause. Their dispatch did a lousy job of informing the technician of what I wanted. He verified power was running into the hot tub and that was it. Could not diagnose why the breaker was tripping because he had no hot tub experience. I paid $128 to learn that my hot tub was getting electricity. I knew that because the breaker kept tripping. It was a waste of time and money.

Overall, I was not really happy with the initial quote and the hassle of getting them down by 30%. Finally, they were willing to go down because their prizes were insane. Of course, they will say they give a 10-year warranty, but they have to give this. The guys that do the work are doing a good job. Being shared at the and an additional $150 for included insulation wool for 12' by 18" is a lot.
It was nice that they sent an email after the job to recommend them here at Google. In case you are not happy, they ask you to call, which I did, but for the next three days, nobody called me back.
After I called them, they stuck with it, and I wrote this story.

Friendly professional staff in the office and technicians in the field. They did a great job installing our EV charger- timely and thorough cleanup when finished! More than competitive pricing!

I wasn't expecting to pay such a high price for such a small job that was completed in 15 minutes. I don't feel good about a company which charges customers such high costs for small jobs when the customer supplies the parts and has them ready to install. There are other quality companies that I will use in the future

I called a number for a company called Scott and Sons Electricians. I scheduled an appt but when I got my email of my appt it came from a company called Aleco Electric.

I thought that was odd but moved forward with the appt.

The tech came out and before he did anything started to sell me on a service to replace all my outlets because they were old.

Then he did some trouble shooting … and told me it would cost me $400 to replace each plug.

He then told me he couldn’t do the work and wanted to schedule another visit.

I was shocked. I didn’t schedule the return appt. As he left he said he would not charge me for the call. I thanked him and he left.

Interesting that when I called that same number later that afternoon that I had called for Scott and Sons Electricians a man answered and asked me to schedule. I asked is this Scott and Sons Electricians. He immediately hung up on me. Then when I called that number back it was blocked.

I suspect this company was advertising under a false post.

I would not recommend you use them.

We are in the early stages of a renovation and needed to talk to somebody about upgrading our house’s amperage. We have used Aleco for several small to medium jobs over the years so I called them first. Al came out and gave me an estimate, but also an education, outlining all of the necessary steps and potential pitfalls of what might turn out to be a HUGE job. I really appreciate his transparency and I feel very well informed. We’re still considering options, but no matter where this particular project ends up going, I’ll trust Aleco for anything electrical.

In trying to replace a nest doorbell wired, one of the wires receded into the wall. We contacted a number of electricians from the google nest website and Angie's list. Aleco was one of the first to respond and said they could take a look the following day.
Elias was the electrician who came and did an incredible job diagnosing and repairing. He had to cut a hole in our drywall to access the wire, pulled it through and connected the new doorbell. We then discovered that the transformer was not functioning and he had a new one to replace. Elias was extremely professional, competent and cleaned up after. We are very happy with the end product and will definitely call Aleco in the future, should any electrical needs arise.

Randomly got connected to them thru a Facebook marketplace post but had a great experience. It was a simple mistake I was responsible for but they explained and fixed it, at no cost. Will definitely call then next time!
