To be honest, I was in a bit of a bind when they showed up - literally, every part of me felt like I was melting. My old insulation was basically non-existent, and even with the new air conditioner, the upstairs would get scorching hot. The master bedroom duct was blowing straight onto our bed, which was driving us crazy. They listened to our concerns and made some adjustments on the fly, installing a new duct that blows down from the ceiling instead of our wall. It's been a total game changer for our sleep.

Just one thing: be prepared for flexible hours on your installation days, as things can run late sometimes. I had a technician visit my home on August 27, 2025, to fix my A/C unit. They quoted $400 for the replacement of a capacitor, which I found extremely pricey. This is especially concerning since they'd previously visited two months prior and charged us an exorbitant amount for what turned out to be an empty container. The current issue with my A/C not working has left me frustrated. When I reached out to American Home Shield, they sent in two technicians from Climatech who confirmed the original quote of $400 and that the technician's previous visit was indeed a scam. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed with the service provided by this individual.

I bought a Lennox Package Unit System from AG (now AZ) Heating and Air Conditioning in 2015 for around $10,000. The unit came with a 10-year warranty on the compressor and parts. Unfortunately, it broke down in August 2022.

When they sent someone to fix it, I was told that the condenser coil had a leak and needed replacement. They advised me to turn off the AC until it was fixed. To my surprise, they charged half of the almost full cost ($5,500) because the parts were under warranty! However, we're still waiting for the parts as of October 2022, and it'll take them three months to get them.

Given the heat waves we had in the past three months, living without AC was unbearable. I expect more from a professional contractor, especially when dealing with a unit that's still under warranty. They should have replaced the unit instead of just fixing it. The company seems to make empty promises during sales.
