I would highly recommend Itay and Top Remodeling & Design. Itay was so responsive to all my questions. He came to my home and was able to give me a quote the very same day. He takes pride in his work and sticks to timelines and promises. I felt very cared for. Itay is a family man and I trust him to do quality work. They did a beautiful job with my kitchen demolition, sink and plumbing installation, electrical and painting.

I don't know if there is enough room here to say all the reasons you should hire these guys! First of all, let me say that I had contacted at least 5-6 companies over a 10 year period to ask about installing a skylight and they had all said they could not do it,it was impossible (the pitch of the roof, the kind of roof tiles, the constraints of the attic, etc etc). A million reasons why it couldn't be done. Top Remodeling was going to be my last try and if they said "No" I would decide to live with my very dark living room that got very little natural light and actually sort of depressed me. Itay and Sam responded to my request quickly and said they thought they could do it!! They were responsible to say they would send the worker into the attic to make sure. Shortly thereafter, Marco came to look in the attic and confirmed that, YES they could do it!! I asked if they could install rustic crossbeams to keep with the aesthetic of 1930's Spanish bungalow. Again, a "YES". They also installed recessed lights in corners for nighttime. I also asked about ladder for the attic, as I was in desperate need of storage space, but it had to be a ladder I could raise and lower by myself (woman in late 50's, height-challenged, lol). The solution was an accordion ladder, which they installed and I am LOVING. I can pull it down with a pole and it is on springs so I can lower and raise it very easily. Itay is very collaborative and focused on making the customer happy; he doesn't push his own ideas but, rather, encourages you to decide what you really want and then he makes it happen- he's like a home improvement magician, lol. The workers, Marco, Juan were absolutely amazing- so honest, respectful and accommodating. I changed my mind a couple of times about some details and they were so quick to do everything they could until I felt like it was perfect. Marco's attention to detail is phenomenal- he might have been pickier than me! He made sure everything was 100%. Finally, the price for the work was very fair and Itay worked with me to make sure I was able to do what I wanted within my budget. I know that this was very high end work, so I really appreciated that. The pics don't do it justice because I'm not the best photographer, but the skylight is GORGEOUS and turned my dark cave into a light filled living room that I now sit in every chance I get and that my family is loving, as well. HIRE THIS COMPANY, you'll be happy you did!

This review is long overdue. I had the pleasure of working with Shahar & Marin for the redesign of my kitchen and bathrooms in the summer of 2022, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the initial consultation to the final reveal, their expertise, creativity, and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the project. I had my doubts when Shahar provided me with his take on placement, as I had my own ideas. Unlike other designers I've worked with before (this is my 3rd remodel in 5 years—long story for another time), he didn't hide his disagreement with my ideas, which initially turned me off a bit. However, it was also refreshing, as I made plenty of mistakes in past remodels due to some dumb ideas, and my previous designers didn't want to push back on those ideas. Shahar and Marin were spot on, as it turns out. I've been living here since August 2022, and I love every aspect of their design.

The kitchen, once outdated and cramped, has been transformed into a modern, functional, and inviting space. Shahar understood my style and needs (we were aiming for a "Studio McGee" vibe), incorporating them into a design that not only looks stunning but also enhances the way I use my kitchen daily (among other things, they added a pantry without sacrificing the feel of depth in the kitchen).

In the bathrooms, the choice of tiles and fixtures perfectly complements the overall aesthetic of my home. Shahar's suggestions for the tile layout were perfect from the first shot (no design tweaks needed after the initial concept) and beautifully executed, making the spaces feel luxurious and spa-like. Our tile guy bailed on us at the last minute, and Shahar performed that work with his own team. The craftsmanship and quality of work are evident, and I've received numerous compliments from friends.

What impressed me most was Shahar's (and Marin's) ability to seamlessly blend functionality with style. They were attentive, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure I was delighted with the outcome. The project was completed on time and within budget, which is a testament to their professionalism and expertise.

We absolutely loved working with Shawn! We did a major kitchen remodel, including a ~150sq ft addition and redid the majority of the floors throughout house. Short version: very attentive/communicative/accountable, great eye for design and attention to detail, and EXTREMELY fast. It was estimated the project would take 4-5 months, and they finished in 3 months almost to the day (this does not include the design phase and time it took to get the permits). They started demo end of August and finished the night before Thanksgiving!

Long Version:
We shopped around with a few different companies but ultimately chose Shawn for a few reasons. We loved that it's a small business owned by Shawn & his wife. We knew it would be a complicated remodel, and for that reason it was important to us to be able to have a lot of upfront brainstorm conversation and understand what it would cost before we dove in. He was really willing to brainstorm with us, discuss our ideas and give us an upfront estimate without charging us. The other design/build companies wanted to charge us for those types of conversations. I loved that Shawn is the owner of the company and would be involved in the project from beginning to end. He was very attentive, has a very strong eye for design, great with communication, and you can tell really cares about making something we would love, and he could be proud of.

I knew there were certain things that I wanted, but also unsure about a lot. He was a perfect match for me to work with. I dont have a great eye for design, so he put together a couple of different renderings that helped me figure out what I wanted. And he had a good balance of assertiveness and flexibility---telling me when something wouldn't work well (and why), what could work better, but also willing to accommodate things that I felt strongly about. We went back and forth on a few of the design specifications, and he was always willing to mock it up for me to see how it could actually look. I loved that I could lean on him for his expertise when I had an idea. I was so confident every step of the way that we would be well taken care of. I also loved all of the workers! The foundation crew (led by Andrias), the drywall guy, paint guys, interior team, electrician, floor guy. Everyone was so fantastic. Very kind, professional/respectful, great attention to detail, and extremely hard working. My husband works out of the house most days and I work from home, so I was always there, and they were very mindful of me and my space and time. Also, his main Project Manager, Fadil! Lovely gentleman. Really easy to get ahold of, would come to the house very often to check on things, and even had some great design ideas that we added on at the end. There were people at our house almost every day getting the work done, and while they were moving fast we could tell that they were doing things right and not skipping corners. Even though I was home, my workdays are usually very busy so I would rarely have to time to check in on things throughout the day, but I really didn't need to. Because Shawn and Fadil really took care of everything.

This was our first experience doing any house upgrades, and I know we'll have many in our future that Shawn and his team will be an obvious choice for us. Could not recommend them more!

My husband and I recently had Shawn and his team remodel our master bath, add a kitchen backsplash, and update our fireplace. Overall we're thrilled with the results! Some key highlights:

- As others have mentioned, having Shawn and his team handle the design + construction is SO convenient. Shawn has a great eye for design and we got exactly what we wanted.
- Finishes and work are all high quality. This isn't some low cost, 1-day turnaround remodel type of place you see advertised on tv. Having said that, Shawn was very open around where we could make adjustments to the plan in order to stick to a budget.
- Special shoutout to Fadil for being incredibly detail oriented. He was able to spot and/or fix anything that wasn't up to standard during the whole process.

We're already planning on working with Shawn on another project and highly recommend to anyone.l!

Our older home in Orinda needed a facelift, and Create Interior Design was just the team for the job. Manuel took the time to understand our vision for a refreshed but not overly modern aesthetic. I found Shawn and Create Interior Design almost by accident when I started looking through Houzz to get some ideas for my primary bath renovation. Scrolling through pictures I came upon a bathroom that captivated me and was absolutely thrilled to see it was designed and constructed in my geography. I looked at the other Create projects on Houzz and was equally impressed with each. I then turned to Yelp and was ecstatic to see all of the five star reviews written. I then reached out to Shawn and we scheduled an appointment to discuss the primary bathroom design and renovation and later met again so he could measure my space. We shared some ideas on vision, I sent over a few inspiration photos, and waited to see the first drawings to finalize layout. When I received them I was so impressed! Shawn had completely taken my thoughts and ideas and brought them to life! We touched on a couple of things and the second, more specific set of drawings arrived. These are not renderings...they are real life drawings with real life products that are then tabbed in a separate sheet with links for where the products can be seen and purchased. Shawn's process from the initial meeting to the final drawings is impressive and his design eye is off the charts. Furthermore, he was willing to help handle any returns or issues that arose, such as defective items, saving me immense time and stress. I also appreciate him being patient with a lot of back and forth with questions, revisions, and various tweaks.
