Our outdated Moraga dining room was closed off and underused. Create Interior Design helped us open it up to the kitchen and living area, making it the centerpiece of our home. Shawn suggested removing part of a non-load-bearing wall, adding custom wainscoting, and redoing the lighting. The new space feels elegant and functional. We entertain more now, and our guests always comment on how open and warm the space feels. The team worked quickly, respected our schedule, and stayed within the initial budget. It’s rare to find contractors and designers who deliver on every promise like this team did.

Our Pleasant Hill basement needed purpose, so we hired Create Interior Design to turn it into a media and game room. Fadil proposed a layout that included built-ins for equipment, layered lighting, and durable finishes that still looked stylish. The transformation was incredible. It’s now our favorite hangout spot and a huge hit with friends. The crew was clean, courteous, and extremely efficient. They kept us informed at every step and stayed on budget. I love how they took a blank space and gave it personality. I’d absolutely trust them with another project, big or small.

I hired Shawn as both designer and general contractor for my kitchen, master bath, and new hardwood floors. I am super happy with the process and results! Shawn and his team had great ideas and really know what they are doing. Right from the first visit to my house Shawn educated me on the cost benefit ratio of different options, and while they can do anything you want he really helped guide me to the most cost effective solutions for the space that I have. Initial estimates were realistic, contract costs for the design and the general work were fair, and the project held to the timeline. And most importantly the results are absolutely beautiful! So I would recommend Create to anyone interested in remodeling their home.

We hired Create Interior Design to modernize our Martinez living room, and the outcome was amazing. Shawn reimagined the layout, installed new lighting, and brought in furniture that made better use of the space. They even created a media wall that hides all the cords and clutter. The room feels balanced, cozy, and much more stylish. The process was straightforward, and they made sure to check in frequently. We’ve received so many compliments since the upgrade. This team knows how to blend form, function, and personality. A great experience from a truly skilled group of professionals.

We lucked out big time in finding Shawn and his team. After interviewing 7 options last Spring for our kitchen/interior living space remodel, we knew Shawn was our guy.

We've now been in our finished kitchen and house for a few months and love it more every day. We still can't believe the transformation and beyond the beautiful upgrade across the board, his design and recommendations made it SO much more functional.

From the design process to communication and his project manager/workers, everyone was a true professional. No kitchen horror stories and they finished exactly on time. There of course are small things that came up in communication between what we decided with Shawn (keeping our dishwasher) and what the workers on site knew about (tried to give it away 2x), but that is common in any project, and most important to us is every small thing we noticed/flagged was fixed without question.

We've already referred Shawn to anyone who asks. He took our space from a very dated 1960s vibe to modern but with character, and a design that matches our ranch style home. Thank you Shawn for making our house feel like us!

Had Lynn do full working drawings for me to get permits.
She had great ideas and really did a good job seeing this through with several revisions, she really understands the codes.

We just had our first Christmas with our remodeled kitchen and baths. Lynn was amazing to work with. She has style, vision, and quickly understood our needs. She coordinated vendors and had our back with every decision—tile, paint, flooring, cabinets, and plumbing fixtures. Our house has a whole new flow. Highly recommended.

5 stars on all marks. We hired Julie and Veronica for a 3 bathroom remodel. They came up with the plans, helped with all design and choices for tile, cabinets, fixtures, lighting. We also went through them for purchase of the items. Literally a one stop shop with excellent service. They are smart, discerning, accurate and a pleasure to work with.

Julie and her team designed my mother’s primary bathroom which is absolutely amazing and beautiful & I was delighted to participate in the process - we were looking for something very specific and unique and Julie nailed it - the bathroom is not only only stunning but hard to leave!

From the first meeting, Julie was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. My wife and I used Julie to remodel our kitchen and 2 bathrooms in our house and had an amazing experience. We had never owned a home or done a remodel previously and Julie was great at taking us step-by-step through the process. Using some inspiration from our Pintrest boards, she came up with designs unique to our house and aesthetic. Julie ordered all the materials on our behalf and identified a fantastic contractor who carried out the remodel with Julie's oversight. Julie took so much of the process off our plates, which was great because my wife was pregnant at the time haha. I've attached a few photos of the kitchen before the remodel and then when it was almost finished. I've also included some pictures of one of the shower areas before and after remodel. I would include more professional pics post remodel but our attention was quickly subsumed with a tiny human! Overall, Julie was so great at taking control over so much of the process while always listening to our feedback and suggestions. I can't recommend Julie enough.

I do not recommend this company. They don’t answer their phones or emails and provide little to no follow up on requested bids. It’s unfortunate. They did work for me several years ago and I was pleased. This time I had to hire another contractor due to their overwhelming lack of responsiveness.

Tim and his team did an amazing job of getting things done perfectly. They also responded promptly and politely if we changed our minds about anything. Great work!

I recently had the delightful experience of contracting with the craftsmen working for Toupin Construction located in Walnut Creek California. We had a difficult job as much of the potential work was not seen at the time of bidding as any damage would be hidden from view as it involved dry rot inside a wall as well as in the floor caused by a long-time leak from a shower as well as outdoor rain. We quickly discovered the perfection, care, concern and awesome attention to detail that Tim (Owner of Toupin Construction) has instilled into all his employees. They were so polite, careful in their work to prevent any mess, water, or debrie from migrating to other portions of the house. They were also most honest and finished the job quickly and the price was below the bid. We have heard of the sterling reputation of Toupin Constructiion but now fully understand the reason for their reputation and demand for their services throughout the area we live in. If you are lucky enough to contract with Toupin Construction, you will not have to worry about the quality, expertise, exactness nor outcome of the work being contemplated. I have had many experiences over the years with a great number of contractors and none have the sterling outcomes that Toupin Construction accomplishes. I have had many contacts with others that have used Toupin Contruction, and the outcomes are equally stunning. You may have difficulty obtaining his services because he and his team of craftsmen are sought after consistently throughout their service area. If you can obtain their services, you will have no further worries on the outcome of your work.

Toupin Construction has doon a fine job on my requested interior construction- large walk-in storage closet, interior ceiling lighting, dining room extension for kitchen cabinets with storage cabinets above and below, and more. it is a great improvement, with much needed additional storage.
