I've used Toupin for three projects. They have performed outstandingly on all of them and stand by their work.

Starting out, my kitchen remodel was not a straightforward job as the property is part of an HOA that very particular on how things are to be done. Toupin Construction was able to navigate and work alongside the requirements of the HOA while not disturbing the other owners in the building. They were very good with details, details that come with experience working in an HOA environment. For example, when it came time to shutting off the water, they made sure to follow CC&R's and bylaws in regards to proper procedures. Furthermore, when their was a small accidental bump to a neighbors deck, virtually no visible cosmetic damage, Toupin Construction notified the HOA immediately and remedied the situation. I was never even contacted by the HOA or the neighbor, which tells me the handled the situation with the upmost professionalism. Prior to hiring Toupin Construction, we got bids from two other contractors. Their prices were within 10-20%, one higher and one lower, but the quality of the materials were inferior. They didn't inspire confidence in working with an HOA.

The finished product is beautiful, we couldn't ask for more. We are grateful that Toupin Construction was able to fit us in their schedule and travel the distance to Tiburon. Honestly, I think it was just good timing because I couldn't get any contractors to cross a bridge to get bid in the beginning. They were within budget, finished in time and didn't gauge us because of our address. Lastly, as a fellow business owner I appreciate professionalism, follow through and quality workmanship. This is exactly how Toupin Construction handled my kitchen remodel and we couldn't be happier.

We hired Toupin Construction to remodel the bathroom and kitchen of our unit at Rossmoor in Walnut Creek and we are very happy with the result. Tim Toupin and his employees helped us to decide what to do and he gave us an estimate of cost. The final bill came in very close to his estimate. The workers all did an excellent job at their specialized tasks. The permits and inspections required by Rossmoor and the city were taken care of, and the job was completed in a reasonable amount of time, given a few delays required for them to complete other jobs. Tim visited frequently to check results and solve problems.

I rarely write reviews but I decided that this one is necessary. I've worked with Tim Toupin for several home projects. I've had him and his team replace my deck; paint the exterior of my home; remodel 2 rooms inside my home (den and master suite), plus do additional smaller tasks inside the home like removing all the inside shutters and some doors. In every project, he and his team have done what one dreams a contractor would do. They showed up on time. They kept me informed of project progress. They were flexible when I added something to the project. They started when they said they would. The ended when they projected they would. They cleaned up every day after their work was done. They were always kind and friendly...always! They were responsive when I had questions. There were no surprises about costs. If there were 10 stars to give, I would do so! It is rare to find such a committed and competent business in the world today and I'm so grateful I found them.

I never had a contractor as good as Toupin Construction. They were on budget without delays. Our project far exceeded our expectations. This was our second project with them were terrific.

We engaged QualTech to install our new HVAC system and Toupin to do all the finish work. Toupin did a fine job, of which we are very proud. Toupin also went above and beyond expectations to correct the electrical work for our new patio when it turned out that the contractor for that job didn't have the required license.

Toupin Construction

Toupin is great! They did a complete remodel of my 1964 condo. They opened up a patio with clerestory windows to be interior space. They installed engineered flooring, installed soundproofing, painted, replaced windows throughout, did a remodel of two bathrooms, and the kitchen. I am a fussy customer, but everything was done to my wishes and satisfaction.

Tim Toupin is very knowledgeable, and will not steer you wrong. Their design team is top notch. All the workers (carpentry, plumbing, electrical painting) are great guys. There is never a worry leaving them in your home.

After the remodel, they were on call for any little problems that arose. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

I got several estimates for the shelf work and installation of washer/dryer, and was delighted that Toupin came in competitively lower than some other construction companies. Their workmanship is incomparable. I appreciated their help with design, their suggestions about materials, and especially the creative way that they lighted the shelves for my whisky collection. The workmanship was untouchable and they accommodated my needs as some of them changed over the course of the construction. And if all that wasn’t enough, every one of their team was pleasant to deal with.

We were pleased with Toupin’s work and design. His staff was courteous, on-time, and worked clean. Living in our unit with construction was a challenge, but Toupin accommodated us as well as could be expected. We recommend highly.

I had a pipe burst in my house and was in a tremendous panic, but Garcia Plumbing came to the rescue! Their team was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable on how to resolve the issue. They even suggested repiping the house to avoid future problems. I couldn't be more pleased with their assistance.

They did some work for us a few months ago, drying out from a leak. Everything went well, and they have even been working with us to get the insurance company to help cover the work even we already paid for it up front.

We found a small leak and then tons of water damage in our bathroom, so I contacted Garcia Plumbing for their Mold Remediation and Restoration services. The team was incredibly skilled and made sure that ever trace of mold was removed. I highly recomend their services. Five stars all the way.

Prompt, trustworthy, competent. My 96 year old mother had a clogged toilet and Garcia responded promptly, installing new toilet and some sink piping. Most impressive, when follow-up work was necessary, they did not charge additional (Rossmoor plumbing is ancient, and since problems can be caused anywhere in downstream plumbing, this kind of work is not warrantied). Jonathan, the owner, is professional, considerate, and a man of his word.
