Appliance Repair reviews in Aurora, Colorado

They bypassed a safety fuse the most dangerous way possible by cutting the insulation and taping the exposed parts of the wire together almost caused a massive fire in the microwave that would’ve caused massive damage see photos for how they decided to replace the fuse it’s just about blown up I have circled at the end where the microwave almost caught fire and also the exposed wire and tape this company has absolutely no idea how to fix anything they just fix the symptom as in if a SAFETY FUSE so your appliance doesn’t catch fire or blow up is bad instead of replacing fuse they just bypass it so the machine thinks it’s okay but if it overheats or surges or catches fire there is nothing to shut it off

Terrible company. Poor service, incompetent technician, ZERO communication.
This company was sent via AHS home warranty to repair my oven with an intermittent issue. His diagnostic technique was to turn the oven on and then talk LOUDLY on the phone in Russian for the entirety of the visit. Never disassembled the unit, never tested electrical connections, never visually inspected working parts of the appliance. He said "there is no problem". I remained in the room the entire time - when he asked me to sign the invoice I asked him why he never performed any inspection or cleaning, he says "I turned it on and let it run". Worthless.
I called the company 5 times over 2 months and specifically asked for a return call from a supervisor. The kind woman apologized and stated she would "prioritize the message" every time I spoke with her. This company is fraudulent and somehow holds contracts with warranty companies (AHS, Chime, Lowe's, etc). I have no option for refund of deductible and was forced to go out of pocket for a reputable company to reconcile the repair.
Absolutely DO NOT allow this company to enter your home. -
TERRIBLE Experience with Aurora Appliance Repair!
Aurora Appliance Service and Repair was scheduled on behalf of Electrolux to service our washer.
To start we requested that the technician call when he arrived instead of ringing doorbell as we have a baby sleeping. Technician never called, rang the doorbell and woke the baby. Not the end of the world... but not the best first impression.
We were having a seal replaced which was ordered directly from manufacturer (Electrolux). The technician from Aurora Appliance said he didn't believe we got the part from the manufacturer and he preferred to order it himself. I showed him the receipt from the manufacturer and he said "well where is the box," and I told him its in the recycling bin I can go and get it if you want...and he packed up his stuff and left.
I don't know if he was trying to make money off the part or what but it was one of the more bizarre service experiences.
I tried to call and speak to a manager on the phone and they said I would have to send an email.
Terrible experience, terrible customer support - Looks at all the terrible reviews.
They have a F with the Better Business Bureau for a reason. -
My experience with this company was just as disappointing as others have had. If it were possible, I'd give them a negative 10 stars. Although the repair person was very friendly, he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. After telling me that nothing was wrong with our unit, I proceeded to start a load of laundry only to have the same issue. I called and spoke with a woman who said they would call back, but a week later, I still haven't heard anything. If I were the CEO of Lowe's, I would fire and sue this fraudulent company.

Alex came up to FOCO to repair our dryer under warranty and worked around our schedule. Was quick to find the issue and solve an additional issue he saw in the making.
Just very kind and helpful.
Thank you so much! -
This company was assigned by my home warranty. I had an issue with the smaller oven of my oven range unit not working. Not only did they fail to fix the problem when they came out after it took 2 months to get the part but after they left I noticed that now my range, and the larger oven don't work. They actually broke it much much more. Additionally there is a distinct electrical smell when I try to turn on the larger oven. They have not only broken my oven, but made my home unsafe. Do not use them under any circumstances. If your warranty company tries to send them ask for someone else, anyone else. If they don't make this right I'll pursue legal action.

This is far and above the worst company I have ever had to work with. Purchased an extended warranty through Costco that was serviced via Allstate/Square. My appliance broke and they sent me a rep from this company. This rep showed up to my home 3 separate times for less than 10 minutes each time and citing I would need to reschedule because a part he needed for the repair was missing.
It has been over a month since I have been without a washer and dryer. If you see Aurora Appliance repair, call and request a new servicer if possible. At this point, there should be a consumer lawsuit levied against this company. -
So my dishwasher doesn’t clean properly. Sometimes it will clean and sometimes it won’t. I have american home warranty. They sent a technician and he said, I need to start hot water tap for 3-5 minutes before starting the dishwasher, which is insane. I asked him to check for clogged pipes. He removed some of them and cleaned up a bunch of mineral deposits.
It still wasn’t cleaning so I reopened the case and the same technician came back. Did nothing and reported, no mechanical failure. Opened the case for the third time, let’s see what happens.
Will post American home warranty shortly -
Probably the worst experience ive ever had dealing with any business. I have contacted my home insurance company that will likely be dropping them as a contractor because of all the complaints. I hope this company goes out of business soon.

Service tech came out to look at my freezer said he needed to order a part waited a week to get the part to install it. Two days later freezer and the fridge stopped working called a different company out. Was told the part he installed was backwards and now the freezer and fridge is not fixable due to oil being inside the cooling coils.

They told us they had the part and were just waiting for payment from our landlord. After they were paid they suddenly didn't have the part. Communication has been terrible. We have been waiting over a MONTH for them to come and fix our washer. It is seeming like they directly lied to us on the phone. It has seriously made life/work harder and the customer service shows they do not care at all. I wish I could leave negative stars.
-
Wouldn’t set up an appointment unless they were paid for the service first. We were assigned this contractor via a home warranty which we’ve used several times and have never needed to pay before we even know when the contractor will be here. Sketchy, especially for a company with reviews like this.

This company has never fixed my appliance after multiple scheduled visits and a great deal of wasted time and energy. I highly recommend working with any other company.

This is one of the most unethical companies I've encountered. They lied to the appliance warranty company after they were sent out to fix a freezer. Despite never getting it working, they signed off that it was. Now I have to start the whole process over. The rep I talked to even tried lying to me saying that the warranty dept signed off on it. He showed such a lack of pride in his business, and a complete disregard for me as a customer. Dishonest, smug, and had the nerve to believe that I would allow them to come back, after warranty started new paperwork.

ZERO STARS!!! This company is a complete scam. AHS referred this company to come out and fix our dryer. After waiting 2 weeks, the technician (one of their best according to the company) showed up, barley spoke English. Said Hello, pointed to two things on my dryer after it was taken apart, then initial in 2 spots and sign in one, then 7 to 10 days. He then left the house. nothing further. Keep in mind we paid $175 for the service call. He later submitted the claim to AHS as ABUSE and misuse of our dryer. Using out dryer is abuse and misuse. The drum wore out from use. The drum cracked due to thinning metal and knocked out the support wheels. AHS denied out claim because of the ABUSE and MISUSE of the appliance.
After finding out of the denial I reached out to Aurora Appliance Repair and was told that the tech was their best and that what they submitted to AHS was based on their professional opinion and things they has seen over the years. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Now I have to pay an additional $175 to have another repair tech come to my house from Horizon Appliance and HVAC.
Aurora Appliance and Repair are only out to claim the service fee. They are not at all competent in repair or making a determination to replace. The claim that we ABUSED or misused our dryer is defamation on our character resulting in our claim being denied and it is on our permeant record with AHS. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! -
This company does warranty repair work at an apartment community I manage. They are the worst vendor I deal with. The technicians mostly do not speak English so they cannot communicate with customers and they frequently do not properly fill out invoices with service performed. I've also had technicians rig appliances to the point Electrolux had to replace them because the "repair" didn't last. The office does not have the ability to email customers with incomplete invoices and refused to have the servicing tech give me a call back even though he called me that morning to say he was on the way. If you can help it DO NOT USE AUROA APPLIANCE REPAIR!

Get ready to be scammed! AHS home warranty sent them and then denied my request! Won't provide you any report or information "jennifer" just talks around in circles.

Zero stars more like it...call AHS in February to fix my ice maker they replaced the part it's now almost July ice maker is slower than it was before they came out to "fix it." Just had them come out today told me its slow water pressure I asked him how will he fix it he said he can't because he doesn't have the tools for it! Made me sign the paperwork...It's still not fixed then as a gift he left a nasty dirt mess on my floor....I am a neat freak and this was beyond rude to me...even my husband who is in the construction field would never leave a mess...it's call housekeeping. I never want them in my home again.

This company is the WORST!! Customer Service sucks, no kind of respect for its customers at ALL!! I called my Home Warranty company to get a contractor out to look at my oven range door. I had used the Self-Cleaning Over function on my range to clean my oven. After the cleaning cycle had stopped and cooled down, I open the door and to my disbelief the inner glass of the oven door was cracked and broken. So, I called my Home Warranty Company. They sent out Aurora Appliance Repair, Inc. The technician seemed like he knew what he was doing. He even told me that this was a common thing, for GE self-cleaning oven function breaking the oven glass door. He said, because of how hot the self-cleaning oven gets. He told me not to ever use it again, so I assumed everything was okay. My Home Warranty Company denied my claim because the technician put "Not Normal Wear & Tear!" He NEVER mentioned the malfunctioning of General Electric's self-cleaning oven causing this type of damage at all! I tried calling Aurora Appliance Repair, Inc back to see why this was never mentioned to my Home Warranty Company. I spoke with a Phil there on several occasions, who promised me that someone would call me back. They NEVER DID! I called back again, the third day, and spoke with a Chris. She informed me that I would need to send an email. I did all the above with NO TYPE OF CALL BACK AT ALL!!! I Would Not Recommend Using This Company At ALL! No Respect! No Common Courtesy to its Customers!!

RUN! They employ random people who show up in unmarked cars who are woefully incompetent! Mostly you will only encounter them from a home warranty call. Said my 20 year old fridge's broken handle was abuse and misuse. Its at the end of its useful life!!! Handles break, I am certain they are in the pocket of AHS to not repair things!

I would give zero stars if I could.
After FOUR WEEKS we still don't have a functional washing machine. They've sent the same tech out four times and we've had to wait a week+ for each appointment. When I tried calling about getting sooner appointments, overnighting parts, etc. I could only reach Phil who was wildly unhelpful and claimed there were no supervisors. To be clear, he isn't a supervisor himself but said the supervisors just... didn't exist? After a while of trying to call out the unlikelihood that no supervisors actually existed, he told me he'd give my number to the supervisors and they'd call me back. It's been 2 weeks and 2 more appointments later, but no supervisor has called.
We were paired with Aurora Appliance Repair through American Home Shield, and it's clear from these other reviews that the only business this company gets is from home warranties. If they had to work with costumers that could choose their company they would not still be in business. This week we hit a month of having no washer and had appointment #4. After "fixing" the washer (again) we still have the same exact issue and the washer is not usable - it is literally smoking so badly it’s setting off our smoke alarms, but they said it was fixed and told AHS the claim was complete.
After some digging I found that the business addresses listed for AAR on Apple Maps and their website are residences. If we drove there we’d wind up at someone’s home. They also are not Better Business Bureau accredited, and their page with the BBB is nothing but complaints.
I called American Home Shield to explain this issue and have finally gotten paired with another repair company. For those who need help with AHS - see the bottom of this review for tips to get a new company without paying more.
The new repair company we’re paired with called within an hour of the new service request and asked who had previously looked at our washing machine. He said "Oh yes. I've heard about them.” And told us today that he’s been trying to get Aurora Appliance Repair kicked off AHS contracts for two years because of how many appliances he’s had to fix that AAR broke and/or “fixed” but left broken.
New company diagnosed the problem in literally 5 seconds, after over a MONTH of Aurora Appliance trying to fix the issue to no avail.
This new company also informed us that Aurora Appliance Repair removed their previous Google business page that had hundreds of 1 star reviews, which is why this page isn’t even listed under their official company name.
0/10. Do not recommend.
TIPS FOR AHS:
When you call, ask for the escalation team. They might try to give you the run around, but they can definitely get you a new company without any additional cost (ish). They can’t just move the service request to another company, but they can refund you for the first one. So tell them you need a refund on your service request due to incompetent service and would like to place a new service request paired with a new company. They’ll say the companies are randomized, but they have the ability to tell you who the new contractor will be before placing the payment for the new service request. We were able to do that so that our first service request was refunded and then we paid the new service fee, but essentially we didn’t pay any extra.
