Constraction reviews in Aurora, Colorado

We've worked with D1 construction on projects ranging from residential remodels to large commercial installation. They've been a great team player every time. A+

We hired Division One Construction and Elevations Basements to complete our basement remodel in Stapleton. It was just over 900 SF finished and included a full bedroom, playrooom with built-in cabinets (that included additional egress window), family room, bathroom, card room with dry bar and large storage area.

They completed the work ontime, on budget and minimized the inconvenience. I am a general contractor myself and quite detail oriented, but I was exceptionally please with the quality of workmanship and level of customer service provided throughout the entire process.

I would strongly recommend Division One to other families considering a similar project.

We hired Division One to build an addition on our 1925 Bungalow. Kirk is honest and dependable. He runs his business with a lot of integrity, and his team did a great job on our addition.

D1 uses skilled subs to do their work and they facilitate a good product. However their business management is terrible. They have massive cash flow issues that significantly effected our satisfaction with the project. We have done similar projects subsequently and didn’t even get a bid from them. Not worth the stress. Subs often don’t get paid and are grumpy about it which is never great and work was slowed because of their inability to purchase supplies due to tight cash flow.

We hired Division One to help us put in a second bathroom in our home. Kirk and his contractors were prompt, professional, and really took the time to come up with the solutions that best fit our needs. Our home was built in the 1890s so it comes with some quirks but the they understand the challenges and joys that come with working on older homes! We'll be using Division One again in the future!

Kirk and his team are solid builders. D1 Construction built a 3 car garage for us that is the envy of the neighborhood and did such a great job that we invited them back to renovate the entire first floor of our home. We added a new powder bath, back porch, 2 new staircases, fireplace, new doors and windows, skylights and an entirely new kitchen WHILE living in the home. They were respectful of our environment (even looking after the dog during the day) and were able to schedule work around us. D1 Construction focuses on results with attention to detail and a care for the homeowner that is second to none. I highly recommend Kirk, Jason Shaw and the rest of the D1 Construction team, they will give you a beautiful renovation.

Kirk Cochran and his team at Division One remodeled my kitchen. I then selected them to remodel my basement as well. My experiences on both projects were outstanding and the results are beautiful. First, I felt like they were true partners, listening to my ideas, helping to solve problems, paying attention to the timeline and meeting budget. Most of all, I appreciated the creativity that Kirk, Will and all of the workers brought to my projects. They have a great aesthetic sense, honor the design of the house and bring useful suggestions to the process. My kitchen project was selected to be on a home tour after it was finished. I tell all of my friends about Division One if they are looking for a contractor. Finally, and this is important, they kept my house impeccably clean during construction. That made all the difference. I couldn't be more positive about the work done by Division One.

We interviewed/solicited bids from six different contractors for construction of a custom home. After careful analysis and comparison of all bids, we selected Division One even though they were not the low bidder. Kirk's reputation , responsiveness, straight forward answers to our questions, willingness to accommodate any last minute changes and flexibility with choosing suppliers made our selection of Division One a "no brainer" choice. The house was timely completed and on budget. On a regular basis during construction, Kirk provided itemized bills and summary worksheets showing costs incurred to date, balance of work due and funds available. Their subs did outstanding work at all stages of construction. Subsequently, we had numerous compliments on the quality of workmanship. Kirk and the on site supervisor were readily available to address questions/concerns during the entire project. We recommend Division One without hesitation. They are a 5 star contractor. Project cost over $300,000

Excellent service, they finished the job very professionally and it turned out beautifully, thank you

Excellent customer service, very professional and good at what they do. Great job, the remodeling of my basement turned out beautifully.

Encol Construction did a total remodel on a house that we are renting and did a great job! They did it a timely manner and were available throughout the whole process.
Thanks so much Sally and Bret.

Encol is wrapping up a project in our office space and did a FANTASTIC job. Clear communication prior to and during the process, and everyone we came into contact with was very polite and a hard worker. Highly recommend!

My husband and I purchased a two-bedroom condo in Highlands Ranch in July of 2024. Upon moving in, we realized that the previous owner had removed the privacy door between the master bedroom and the bathroom, and put in all-new woodwork when remodeling the bathroom. It did seem a bit awkward, but I didn't really question it until I saw the unit below ours and decided that having the door would be preferable.

Not knowing any contractors in the area, I called the realtor who represented the sellers for the condo, and she happily gave me the name of her "go-to contractor" for this type of work.

This was a stroke of good luck as Nick Haag of Accell Construction could not have been more accommodating relative to our travel schedule. He was able to arrange a visit to scope out the work and provided a written quote within a week. Once we signed the contract, Nick and his crew assembled all of the materials including paint and door hardware to match the rest of the doors in the condo.

We were flexible with our dates to complete the project so he was able to fit us into his schedule of other projects.

I feel very fortunate to have met Nick and will certainly call on him an Accell Construction when we tackle future projects in the condo. My husband and I could not be happier with his quality of work, friendliness, punctuality, and cleanliness!
Thanks, Nick - we look forward to working with you and Accell Construction in the future.

These guys are the real deal! They are pickier than we are and thoroughly clean up every evening. They don’t just show up some times, but stay on the job until it’s done, which is very quickly.

Inside, outside, floor to ceiling Nick and his crew have bern doing terrific work for us for 25 years. Includes building a deck and pergola, installing several rooms of hardwood floors and baseboards, retexturing ceilings after removing popcorn, remodeled 3 bathrooms, painted every room in the house and installed an attic fan.
Nick had done excellent work not only on all our projects, but also for our neighbors.

Accell Has done many projects for us over the past 15-20 years. Always excellent work, professional, and responsive to our needs. Highly recommend for any home or yard project you may have!

Accell construction is a top notch company. They are clean, professional and always on time! The work they do is incredible. Their attention to detail is exceptional! I highly recommend Accell Construction

If you are looking for honest, precise work/craftsmanship, and fair pricing for your next remodel, you have come to the right place!
Nick and Don are not only friendly, but they are professional and the work they do is precise! It’s not sloppy. We had a contractor that was taking over two months to complete our kitchen. We had enough. We were so lucky to find Accell Construction! Thankfully Nick was able to squeeze us in between jobs. I was worried that they would rush and do an okay job but they didn’t! I love my new kitchen!! Items that we purchased from the old contractor were of lesser quality but Nick did his best to make it look like top notch products! Thank you Nick and Don for our beautiful new kitchen!

Nick and the guys are great! Responsive, on-time, and jobs completed as promised. They've done a bunch of projects for us- big and small, and most recently, replaced pocket doors and tracts (having to cut in and repair the wall), and replaced a fence post/fixed our gate. We highly recommend them!

Accell Construction has done several jobs for us and I have also recommended them to friends and family. Nick and his employees do excellent work. They are punctual with their timeframe and communicate every step of the way. If you want a job done right and in a timely fashion, Accell Construction is the company for you.

We've used Accell Construction for multiple remodeling projects in our home, including bathrooms and kitchens. Nick guided us through room reconfigurations, finding cost-effective and functional options that work for us. After working with them for several years now, Nick, Blake, and JR are the only craftsmen that I would trust for future home projects.
