UPDATED: Who cares if you are sorry, you haven't tried to fix. You installed the wrong size line set, what qualified HVAC company does that? Mitsubishi is coming this week, what else will we find you did wrong?

Hartzell installed my heat pumps and they burn through insane amounts of energy. We are supposed to use 300 kWh to cool all summer, instead we use 30 kWh for a single 87 degree day. Hartzell told us that isn’t their problem. What’s the point of installing heat pumps if it isn’t for better performance then? This is supposed to be a new net zero house that can’t operate as net zero thanks to Hartzell.

Their install was really problematic. They didn't pressure test the refrigerant lines first like Mitsu requires, and all the refrigerant leaked out. That alone cost us at least $1400 in additional electric bills. They later refilled the system without pressure testing again or trying to trouble shoot why it leaked. They installed all our HVAC but didn't write down the lengths of our refrigerant lines so they can calculate the right amount of refrigerant to add, which you need to do to correctly to get peak efficiency from a heat pump. Every 1% you are off in refrigerant is a 2-3% difference in energy efficiency. Come on, Hartzell. Get out here and commission our HVAC properly and make our heat pumps perform the way they should be. Why would anyone spend all this money on heat pumps to get a system that is no more efficient than running an AC in a leaky old house?

Finally, they didn't register our warranty or leave the warranty card for us to, and as a result we get the minimum warranty for our equipment. What the heck, guys?

Teresa did a great job with communication and helping pick out the correct unit for my house. overall Guy and Aiden did great on the install had a couple minor hicups afterwards but anytime i contacted them about minor issues they would be here the next day to make it right and they did my system now keeps my house very cool and cozy. Every company runs into issues but its how you react and solve those issues that put you on top and these guys were very proffesional every step of the way.

Terry Hartzell and his team are the best contractors I’ve ever welcomed into my home. The entire team including Mick, Guy, Joey, Junior, Aidan, and Tyson are quality craftsmen. They were conscientious about what needed my opinion and their real time problem solving was impeccable throughout the multi-day installation. Their decisions were always oriented around putting me, the home owner first, which is refreshing in an industry where that is not often the case! Highly recommended for any HVAC work to be done on your home.

You couldn't ask for a better service provider than Terry. He's dependable and efficient at what he does. We've added an in home humidifier at one house and when we moved we trusted Terry to coordinate and upgrade all our hvac. If we ever have an issue or question him or his team are always quick to respond and help. Highly recommend.

Had multiple problems with our a/c and was to give up... Until Hartzell Heating was recommended. One of their technicians Joey came in and fixes our a/c units within the hour. With working night shifts it's amazing to have cool are running constantly throughout the house during the hot periods of the day! 100% recommended!!

Since we moved into our house, we’ve had various HVAC companies, come in for repairs, provide estimates on replacing equipment and eventually decided to make Hartzell our go to, and eventually went with them to replace our furnace and A/C. A) they are highly responsive when you call B) they recognize loyalty and repeat business such that you feel like they actually know you. C) when they come out to try and diagnose something, they go all out to try and find the problem, and I will hear them call up Terry to talk things out, which tells me that they really care about getting to the bottom of any issue you might be having. Life and home ownership can get stressful, but it definitely helps knowing I have reliable HvAC guys.

Joey, from Hartzell HVAC, just left my home. My AC wasn’t working and as it turned out, my thermostat wiring just needed an adjustment. He was on time and let me know when he was en route. Extremely personable and professional. I signed up for their service plan, which is only $250 a year. It includes furnace and AC check each season and free diagnostic service calls. I’m excited to have the service plan in place. I highly recommend Hartzell!

Hartzell provided us with top notch customer service. Teresa came out to give us a quote and was so friendly and Terry was a phone call away and answered all of our questions and concerns and made us feel comfortable with purchasing our new heating and air units. They came out the next day which was so awesome. The installers were Junior and Aiden and they were polite and quick and walked us through the new system and made sure everything was running properly before they left. Teresa even came back with a special treat for our family from Crumbl after the install. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable and affordable heating and air company.

Joey @ Hartzell is great! We're on the service plan, so we try and stay on top of any furnace or AC issues that could come up. Joey is very clear about what maintenance is vital, and what elements are okay to be monitored, for now. He explains things well, and is thorough. Scheduling with Rachel is quick and easy and communication is very good!

I just had Terry Hartzell with Hartzell Heating & Air. He was super nice. He was very thorough. After a deep inspection he determined it was not my furnace it was my thermostat. Went to Lowe's got a new thermostat and we are up & running.

Jeff, Junior, Aiden, and Joey installed my new heat pump system a couple of weeks ago. I am super happy with the job they did and they answered all my questions about the product and process. They were professional, courteous, and did quality work in a short period of time. They arrived at 8:00 and by 3:00 I had my new functional heating/cooling system in place. We had Joey from Hartzell Heating and Air out to do a general inspection on our ancient household heating system. While he was here he detected and adequately fixed gas leaks that were detected. He also ensured that our blower motor was functioning properly and that our heater would in fact be in working order for winter. We truly appreciate the time Joey took to show us and explain to us the issues he found and are happy he fixed the issues swiftly. 10/10 would recommend Hartzell Heating and Air.

I was referred to Hartzell Heating by a good friend this morning. I called at 830am, was greeted by a very professional lady named Rachel. Rachel was kind, very detailed and made sure to get all of the information correct. I was scheduled same day. Technician Joey showed up, immediately went through the equipment and identified the problem. He fixed the AC unit within 20 mins. Very professional and also went over benefits of having a preventative maintenance plan. Overall great experience.

I called over a dozen places for service, and Hartzell was the only one to be willing to get someone out quickly. They sent Joey out and he did an amazing job in a short amount of time. He repaired our furnace quickly and their price was extremely reasonable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you call them for any HVAC needs.
