I've been a customer of Custom Heating since 2009. The customer service is always the best! The technicians are friendly and experienced. The prices are fair. You never want your furnace to go out for any reason. It's a "grunge" task that has to be done. But Custom Heating makes it a pleasurable experience. Thanks again!

This place is the best and very timely. This is a 2 day job for me replacing heating/ac but the heart of july they made sure AC was good to go day 1. The gentleman set the AC for 70 (it was 90+ inside). he gave me a manual incase i wanted to read ahead but said he would teach me everything the following day while they finished their work. i didn't care i slept like a baby. i broke the ball off my humerus bone 2 weeks prior and was on major drugs and still didnt sleep as good as being in my own bed with AC. i dont even know the bells and whistles yet but this is the most excited ive been in a long time.

We've used Custom HPACES happily for a number of years to maintain our evaporative cooler, with seasonal turn-on and shut-down. The techs are always on-time, knowledgeable and helpful. Parts are cleaned and replaced as necessary. The tech who came most recently (May 2025) went above and beyond, by turning the orientation of one of the vents by 90 degrees (and re-screwing the whole vent in the new position), so that more cold air could reach the kitchen. We plan to keep using Custom HPACES and highly recommend.

We have been using Custom Heating for all of our evaporative cooler needs for several years and they are great to work with. They even have a great deal for startup/shutdown services if you buy a yearly package. Once we had a payment issue and they fixed the problem promptly and without fuss. Trustworthy company!

My experience with HPACES was terrible. They installed a “split unit” for me several years ago, and they did a horrible job. The installation was extremely poorly done — I’m convinced they had never done one of these installations and had no idea what they were doing. Their crew did a pathetic job, and they had to come back over-and-over-and-over during the course of the following year before they could eventually get the unit working correctly. It was truly a nightmare. In addition, the efficiency-level of the unit they installed was not even close to the actual efficiency rating posted on the unite — they deceived me and I am now paying for the inefficiency I did NOT bargain for. Over all, I am HUGELY disappointed in the level of service I received from HPACES. I would NOT recommend using them at all.

I've worked with several other HVAC companies and had very little faith in their ability to actually solve problems and fix things. Most of them don't even want to troubleshoot the problem but just replace units or offer solutions that don't actually fix the problem. They also don't want to give any sort of pricing they just expect to get a blank check on site. But my experience with Custom has been great all around. I asked specifically for what I wanted and they gave me a price over the phone. When the technician Benito arrived he walked me through what was right and what was wrong about our two commercial HVAC units. He explained things in detail and we formulated the plan to get them running in tip top shape. I found their rates to be reasonable and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

They installed a new AC unit and water heater. I must say the staff was great from beginning to end, they worked hard, quickly and were very professional the whole time. Every question or concerns I had was answered and the quality of their work was superior. I would recommend Custom HPACES to my family and friends. Thank you again!!

Review update: We love our new Aerocool evaporative cooler. It cools down the house very well (if anything it works too good and gets quite cold, we don't have to use it as much as our previous unit.) Duwayne was very helpful in troubleshooting and fixing a few loose ends after the installation, and their staff were nice to work with. They were also able to use the same legs from our old unit, which was also great as they didn't have to mess with the roof.

William was courteous and professional.
The work was performed quickly and kept me informed.

Benito, the tech who has done several repairs for me, is always a joy. He's careful, thorough, and eager to explain what he's doing and why.

Custom HVAC is my new go to mechanical contractor. My 7 year old furnace was way too noisy. The company that installed it said it was ok and I should trade it in. I called Custom for a second opinion and it is quieter than it was when it was new. My friend just had the same work done on his furnace. Motor and condenser. By a well known company and paid more than twice what I paid. Maybe because Custom HVAC doesn't spend a lot on TV ads.

Custom has been my go-to for radiant heating system and evaporative cooler for years. They are competent, friendly and fair. I highly recommend them. Duane is fabulous!

This is a great company. They stand by their work and have excellent technicians. Recently William did a blower fan cleaning and added another component to our system. He explains things very well and is super polite and professional. Today he returned to work on the compressor which turned out to have a manufacturer assembly mistake that he diagnosed and repaired. This guy really knows his trade!! Thank you Custom HPACES!

Benito came to our home and assessed our issue. He clearly explained our options, and what was needed. He was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this company. They truely seem to care, and get the job done quickly. Even offered to bring space heaters out to us until we decided on our options.

My furnace stopped working on the coldest night of the week (20°). Custom got space heaters to us to keep us going until they could send a tech in the morning. Benito was our tech. He was fabulous. The failure was a unique/weird problem. He was persistent in determining the issue. Once identified, he checked all components in the furnace to ensure there was no damage. Thanks you Charity, Casey, Benito and Dwane!

Beyond impressed with this company! From consult to install, they were punctual, professional, and thorough. We had both our AC and furnace replaced, and they got it all done in one day! Our old unit was 17 years old, and while installing the new one, Dwane explained the differences between the old and new units and the upgrades we now have to look forward to.

We also have three large dogs, and his crew was amazing with them — patient and friendly the whole time. By the end of the day, they cleaned up so well it looked as if they’d never been here. Their cleanliness and attention to detail is 10/10.
